The man-made border between years, this transition time between 2017 and 2018, is fast approaching.

I say man-made because nature was not “consulted” in picking January 1 as the beginning of a new year.

In some other countries the first day of spring is considered the beginning of the new year. And of course Spring does feel like new vital energies erupting, like a new beginning.  And the sign that begins every spring is Aries, an obvious generator of new starts.

I think that says much about our culture and its lack of respect for nature, for natural cycles and seasons.

We all too often lead our lives based on what we are expected to do, what we should do, what we desire to do, what the rules or conventional culture “tells” us to do.

In contrast, Astrology is part of nature, of natural cycles and seasons, part of the grand movements of our solar system and Universe.

And this week, which will lead to the holiday season, shows us a turning of tides, a shifting of natural energies.

We are awakened from our collective nap at the New Moon in Sagittarius on December 18 at 1:30 AM EST.

Then on December 21 we enter Winter Solstice at 11:28 AM EST. That same day, there is a very rare occasion- Saturn will be conjunct that Winter Solstice point.

Then on December 22, the much awaited Direct movement of Mercury occurs at 8:51 PM EST.

During Mercury Retrograde many shifted their thinking or questioned their previous decisions and chosen directions.

Now after Mercury goes back Direct, and giving it a week or so to go back to normal speed, you will be able to assess if that change of mind sticks or if you need to go back to what was originally chosen.

For some, people and/or memories floated back into their consciousness or life, giving  another perspective on issues in our life.

After Mercury goes back Direct, the fog will begin to lift, clarity will begin to appear.

However, around the day that Mercury actually goes back Direct, it can be especially confusing or disorienting. Let the process play out before jumping to conclusions.

Mercury going Direct will feel like new beginnings, but so will the New Moon in Sagittarius.

The New Moon in Sagittarius on the 17th/18th is a fiery new moon.  Sagittarius is fire that moves where it is inspired to go.  People with a strong Sagittarius influence are free spirits , wanting to follow their intuition, their inspiration, their sense of adventure.

Their challenge is to not leap before they look, to not be too impulsive, to not be so cock sure their opinion is always right.

As we all experience the New Moon in Sagittarius, we will begin to feel joy and upliftment.

Yet to counter that upward spiral of spirit, we are still experiencing the downward spiral of darker and darker days on the way to Winter Solstice on the 21st.

So we may feel a bit torn between hope and optimism one minute, then sadness or negativity later.

Our glass of life is in the process of a changing perspective from half empty to half full.

As we get closer to the Winter Solstice on the 21st, the day is getting darker and darker.  Heavy Saturn goes into its “home” sign of Capricorn on the 19th, just two days before the Winter Solstice Sun in Capricorn on the 21st.

Then later that same day, Saturn in Capricorn conjuncts the Winter Solstice Sun in Capricorn.

That may bring some sadness, some feelings of depression, a negative outlook on life.

But if you stay present for the turn toward the light at 11:28 AM EST on the 21st, you may feel the subtle shift energetically toward more light  minutes of the day.  And the light keeps growing until Spring Equinox when light and dark become equal.

So as the light comes back, the Sun does not open to light as easily as it normally does on Winter Solstice. That is because of Saturn in Capricorn making conjunction with the Winter Solstice Sun.

Saturn stops the full expression of whatever it touches. It is gravity. It is the hand of time. It is rules and responsibilities.

We are still in the reach of the New Moon in Sagittarius, however, so we may be in a loop between manic and depressed, so to speak

Please do not let the situations in the world get you down or feeling hopeless.   Everything is in meaningful order.

We are undoubtedly feeling the cracking open of the concrete structure of the Military/Industrial complex.

Change is wanting to pour in through those cracks which are getting bigger and more plentiful all the time.

This splitting apart is causing huge divisions between cultures, religions, nations, genders, etc.

In America it is being felt as a big split between the left culture and the right culture. There is little thread between them to keep them together.

The yin/yang symbol of wholeness is splitting in two within the old Paradigm.

Get out of the Old Paradigm and its wars. Do not be so quick to choose sides.  In the New Paradigm all is connected, diverse but connected. There is no demonizing of those who are different than us.

There is a much stronger rope between the differences. The yin/yang symbol is whole. There is still black and white, male and female, yin and yang. But those opposites are part of a wholeness of Unity.

This is the Age of Aquarius with its Diversity within Unity.

So don’t see the good guys or girls versus the bad guys or girls. The enemy is not North Korea or Iran or China or Muslims.  The enemy is not white men or conservatives or Christians or people from red states, or on the contrary liberals or African Americans or LGBTQ peoples.

Do not be a part of the cracking concrete of the Old Paradigm of US Versus Them.

Yes stand up for what you believe is right, but don’t be part of a war against those who think differently.

Trust that everything is happening for a reason, that an old world is transitioning into a New World, the Age of Aquarius.

You don’t have to kill the members of the Old World, evolution happens naturally.

Quit thinking Trump all the time like the media does. Trump loves that much attention.  He is not the enemy.  What he represents is what we need to release on a very deep level of our collective consciousness

The MeToo revolution is so needed in our world now, but if it turns to men versus women it loses its way.

There is an old paradigm that believes that those in power and privilege can do what they want and can abuse that power and take whatever they want.

Men and women have both bought into that belief system. Are men predators and women prey?  Are men the perpetrators and women the victims?

What needs to be transformed is believing that is true. And so many men and women deeply believe that as they have been conditioned to believe.

We may have developed that as part of an old paradigm, but in nature it is not true, inherently it is not true.

But if you buy into it, it becomes true for you.

Mercury goes Direct on the 22nd at 8:51 PM EST. Feel the shift and feel the relief. It has been a very difficult Mercury Retrograde this time for many.

As it ends feel the gears in your mind beginning to shift back.   It is a good time to gather our senses, to bring our selves to sanity in this often insane world, and to make our better values our highest priority.

Till next week,

Leo

Endings and Astrology Forecast December 10-16.

Posted in astrology forecast, Weekly WorldView and Astrology forecast with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , on December 9, 2017 by spiritualtherapy

By Leo Knighton Tallarico

We are moving downward, inward and yin-ward this week as we experience the waning last quarter of the lunar cycle.

Overnight from the 7th into the 8th of December, the Sun in Sagittarius squares the Moon in Virgo.  That begins the last quarter of the lunar cycle that began at the Scorpio New Moon on November 18.

Then on December 18 that lunar cycle ends at the usually uplifting Sagittarius New Moon.

Later that week, on the 21st,  the darkest day of the year brings us to the return of more light on Winter Solstice.

Then on December 22 Mercury goes back Direct.

So the week of the 18th brings a much needed turning point of new beginnings and a deeper sense that the glass of life is half full, not half empty.

The celebration of the birth of new hope that week extends its reach to Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve and day.

In contrast, this week December 10- 16, continues the drop into darker days and feelings.

The process of transformation shows us shedding the skins of the old Chapter of our consciousness and life.   And that process also shows us the light of our new world, the birth of a new way.

As we shed old skins we can feel the truth of death, carried by the coffin of our old ways, beliefs, and life.

The dark phase of the last quarter moon;  the last phase of the darkening solar light before Winter Solstice;  the last part of Mercury Retrograde, and the last part of 2017 all come together now.

The past may be flashing before your eyes now, allowing you to say goodbye, to grieve, and to purge and release.

As you look out into the dramas of our society, know that there is not only an old year and old chapter dying, but an over 2,000 year old Age is coming to an end too.

The dysfunctional and toxic old paradigm beliefs encourage us to see everything in win/lose, perpetrator/victim, predator/prey, survival of the fittest , “get what you can for you and yours” ways.

As we learn to truly listen to each other from our open minds and hearts, while at the same time holding our own integrity and values, we come out of that old programmed paradigm. Finding the connections lights our new path.

Open minds search for truth, each person’s truth, and thus the potential for some kind of agreement.  Open hearts have love guiding them to the threads of connection between everyone and everything.

And self acceptance, self honoring, self worth, self love, and self empowerment, allows each of us to be the best we can be in all endeavors and relationships. It also helps us to not give ourselves away as a sacrifice to the worst in others.  Self loathing enables the worst behavior in others.

Evolution will not be stopped. The dinosaurs among us are screaming and fighting to be able to live in the old ways, and take me and you with them.

We enable them if we stay in awe of those who have celebrity, wealth, and privilege.

Donald Trump show us the results of keeping that old belief system of some being superior to those who must be their inferiors.  And of course those superiors deserve the privileges of having more too.

The cream does not rise to the top of that old world, the crud does.

Release, release, release this week; surrender to the Universe and your soul’s wisdom. Let it end, whatever needs to end.  Do not hold onto any security blankets that keep you clinging to what you no longer really need anymore.

Trust that the Soul’s and Universe’s process will bring the birth light at the right time and in the right way.

This week, as we move down into more endings in the last quarter of the lunar cycle with Mercury still Retrograde; we also experience Mars leaving Libra and entering Scorpio on the 9th.

It will stay in Scorpio till January 26, just before the first of two eclipses, a Lunar Eclipse Full Moon in Leo.

As Mars leaves Libra for Scorpio, voices and attempts at temperance and civility will be less respected and heard in much of the greater world.

More hawkish elements of our governments will want to dominate more.   Power struggles will get more fierce.  Remember the best of Mars in Scorpio is power serving a greater cause.  And love is the greatest cause.

Stay in your loving heart.  Empower yourself from that place. That brings a power that can change the world in the best of ways.

And in early 2018, as the next Eclipse Season opens up new portals of truth and love for those aligned and centered to receive; waves of change will be larger and encompass more.

The Solar Eclipse New Moon in Aquarius on February 15 will bring a strong wave of the Age of Aquarius through community uprisings and attempts to overthrow those in power who are leading us backwards.  Impeachment voices should be getting much stronger then.

Administration attempts to distract our attention through world conflicts will be stronger then too.

Jerusalem has been added to the Koreas as a world hot spot.    Trump stating that Jerusalem is the sole capital of Israel is inflaming so much of the Arab and Muslim world.

Countries in the Middle East and all over the world are picking sides now.  World conflict is inevitable now.

The chaos will bring with it more ability to release and purge, more openings for the new world to come through.

The old programming is leaving the consciousness of each of us and though it has given us a distorted sense of security, it has also brought damage to our hearts and souls, our free minds and spirits, our sense of connections with each other and all life.

Our spiritual potential will get stronger and stronger, as will creative power, magic, and synchronicity,

New voices and leaders will emerge.  The Age of Aquarius will rise like a Phoenix from the ashes of our old paradigm and Age.

As you release and let go this week, keep in mind that Mercury is still Retrograde. It is Ok now to question what you have already chosen and the direction you are moving in, but do not act on that yet.

Wait till after the 22nd when it goes back Direct, and wait for the turning points later this year that will shift your perception to life’s half full viewpoint.

till next week,

Leo

Sacred Turning Point and Astrology Forecast December 25- December 31.

Posted in Uncategorized, Weekly WorldView and Astrology forecast with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on December 24, 2016 by spiritualtherapy

By Leo Knighton Tallarico

As we move through a sacred Judeo/Christian time period, we are in the darkening last quarter of the lunar cycle- until Thursday December 29.

Last week we experienced the darkest time of the solar cycle- leading up to the Winter Solstice.

This will feel like a very sad and soulful time for many people.

2016 is coming to an end, and the Presidency of Barack Obama is soon to end also.

In many ways President Obama brought us closer to an Age of Aquarius. Though the Miltary/Industrial Complex still rules, his policies brought us “friendlier” relationships with Cuba, Iran, the Muslim world and Palestinians.

He also was the first President of color and he helped to move us towardgreater inclusiveness with the LGBT community by leading the way toward cultural acceptance of gay marriage and transgender people.

Now, if looking at life from a global outer world perspective, we will in many ways seem to be moving backwards in experiencing much of the old paradigm from a dying age.

The Trump administration and nationalistic movements in many western countries bring with it more separation and greater chances of world conflicts and war.

Though I strongly believe we are metaphorically taking 2 steps backward before taking many steps forward in a few years, it is understandable that many people are feeling greater fear and anger.

But even though the outer global world feels as if it is going backwards, those of us on a spiritual path will be challenged to grow and evolve.

How do we keep love in our hearts while the world is going crazy? How do we let go of hatred and fear when leaders in the outer world are bringing us policies that bring greater danger to our environment and Earth?

How can we keep our center when leaders in the new American administration are all very wealthy and militaristic?

How do we stop ourselves from being depressed when we witness greater misogyny and prejudice, while there is more world conflict and more separation between haves and have nots economically?

Christ, who is being celebrated by many now, gave us an example of having love, compassion, and faith in a world filled with hate, corruption, and injustice.

The beginning of the Pisces Age was begun around the birth of Christ with its fish symbols.  This birth happened just a few years after the births of Buddha and Lao Tse, and a few years before Mohammed, all signature figures of the Age of Pisces.

Though the messages of these spiritual masters was largely diluted and corrupted by churches in their names during the Pisces Age, it is incumbent on each us to resurrect and deeply own in our consciousness the essence of what each of these people represented.

The many faceted and mysterious great Goddess is an important part of the Age of Aquarius, and as she energetically joins with the spiritual masters of the Age of Pisces, we have our spiritual foundation for the Age of Aquarius.

But they are not above us in hierarchy in an Age of Aquarius.  They are us, integrated deeply in each of our hearts and souls.

And now that is our inner work: evolving spiritually in a toxic world, to be “in the world but not of the world”.

At the same time, we begin our outer work of planting seeds of change for the outer world. We will participate in protests, gatherings like the Million Woman March on the day after Inauguration Day for Donald Trump, and civil disobedience as was shown by Martin Luther King and Ghandhi.

We must each find our way to seeing the bigger picture and commiting to a New Age regardless of who is president or who is ruling the world.  Who do you believe runs this Universe? Is it Caesar of the material world or the energies of Love and Truth?

This week we experience the darkening Moon until December 29 at the New Moon in Capricorn at 1:53 AM EST.

That same day brings us the liberating, awakening energies of Uranus as it changes directions from Retrograde to Direct. Uranus, arguably more than any other planet, signifies change.

So there will be a feeling surrounding the 29th of new beginnings and big change.

The New Moon in Capricorn shows us the beginning of a greater sense of responsibility, loyalty, groundedness, and needs to accomplish.

The Sun is always in Capricorn on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day when many people make their resolutions. Capricorn is ruled by Saturn which rules Time.  Capricorn is also about plans, commitment, and discipline, which are a big part of resolutions.

Uranus changing directions often feels like radical change and revolution.

So this would then be a great time to make a commitment (Capricorn) to revolution and transformational change (Uranus).

I would also not be surprised by big world events around this time.

On New Years Eve, Mars will be conjunct Neptune.

Mars is action, force, and will.  Neptune as God of the Ocean is deep soul and feelings.  It is the inner spiritual world as ruling planet of Pisces.

It also rules alcohol and drugs.  So be very careful how much you use those to bring in the New Year 2017.

Neptune is also letting go, going with the flow and surrender.  So Mars’ force will be greatly diluted by Neptune.  So it is best not to force issues or agendas, and instead to be flexible and trusting of energies and realities beyond our controls.

till next week when we will look at the year ahead.

I will put out a YouTube video soon after the first. I also intend to host an ongoing streaming radio show soon also. More on that later.

Winter Solstice, Mercury Retrograde, and Astrology Forecast December 18-24

Posted in Uncategorized, Weekly WorldView and Astrology forecast with tags , , , , , , , , , , on December 17, 2016 by spiritualtherapy

By Leo Knighton Tallarico

This week we experience changing planetary winds:   Mercury Retrograde, Winter Solstice, 4th quarter Moon, and Mars in Pisces.

Inward and Yinward is the prevailing theme of this week’s turning point energies.

Winter Solstice takes us into the darkest day of the year.  The 4th quarter Moon takes us into the darkest phase of the lunar cycle.  Mars leaving Aquarius for Pisces takes us more inward into deeper consciousness.  Mercury Retrograde turns us more reflective and inner directed.

Mercury goes Retrograde on December 19 at 5:55 AM. It will stay Retrograde until January 8 2017 when it goes back Direct.

The 19th is also the day that the electors cast their votes for President of the USA.

Back on November 7 of 2000 on election day, Mercury was changing direction from Retrograde to Direct.

On the day Mercury changes direction from Direct to Retrograde or from Retrograde to Direct, it can be quite a confusing day.

That day in 2000 media anchors kept going back and forth in announcing victory for Bush, then Gore, then Bush, then Gore, etc.

It was many weeks afterward when Bush was declared President.

So it does seem meaningful that the electors cast their votes for President on the day Mercury changes direction.

This certainly does not mean that the vote will be reversed and the Presidency will be taken away from Trump.

But it could very well mean the day will bring some confusion as to what is happening with the votes.  Already this electoral vote is more controversial then past electoral voting, as some electors have already promised to change their vote or to abstain from voting.

And the questioning of the Electoral College being used instead of popular vote is already happening.  So you can see Mercury doing its job as we get closer and closer to the day it goes retrograde.

The Mercury Retrograde time period shows us a shift in our mental perceptions and a questioning of previous mind frames, paradigms, decisions, and beliefs.

Mercury Retrograde also can kind of rewind the clock of our lives, bringing back old memories through dreams, daytime thoughts, and from people actually showing up again in our lives.  This rewind can help us to better put our current lives in perspective, and provide us with deeper insight into current issues and relationships.

Mercury Retrograde also can bring spaciness, forgetfulness, difficult communication, and challenges with technological communication networks and equipment.

Mercury Retrograde is not usually a good time to make big decisions or to start important new projects.

On January 8, when it goes back Direct, clarity begins to form again.  It is interesting that the results from electoral votes on December 19 will not be reported until January 6, just before Mercury goes back Direct again.

Mercury Retrograde is best experienced from a reflective inner directed mind.   And inner direction this week is not just shown by Mercury but also because the 4th quarter of the current lunar cycle begins on December 2o.

This 4th quarter Moon is in Virgo and suggests we need to  become more discerning and simplified- in contrast to the rising flames of intution from the Sun in Sagittarius.

So there is more inward and yinward energetic movement.  This 4th quarter lunar phase, when lunar light gets darker and darker, ends with the New Moon in Capricorn on December 28/29.

And there is even more turning inward as we experience the darkest time of year just before the Winter Solstice.

The moment we symbolically turn back again to more light every day is on December 21 at 5:44 AM EST.

This lead up to the Winter Solstice and the day of the Solstice is a very solemn time period.

We may experience deep feelings like sadness and grief, yet if totally present internally we may feel the hope that comes back as the light returns on Winter Solstice.

Every day light will get more time until Spring Equinox when light and dark are equal.

Christmas is aligned with the Winter Solstice in that Christ is considered the light of hope for people, especially those who suffer in their darkness of their suffering.

The Sun moves into Capricorn on Winter Solstice and begins a month of feeling responsibility, rules and regulations, desires to build and accomplish, needs to be disciplined and organized.

But more inward movement is suggested with Mars moving into Pisces on December 19.  It will stay in Pisces until January 28 when it goes into fiery Aries.

From December 19 until January  28 Mars will be swimming in watery Pisces.  Neptune, god of the ocean, is the “ruling” planet of Pisces.

Mars is usually a very active planet, self assertive, action oriented, willful, and forceful.

But in Pisces it is more peaceful, inner directed, flowing, passive, and self sacrificing.

It seeks to take it easy, to go with the flow, and explore inner dimensions and spiritual worlds.

It is not a great force for new beginnings or willful forcing of what one desires.

But it is great at diving into psychological insights, and processing deeper emotions and thoughts.

So almost all the planetary aspects this week suggest it is best to slow down, relax, go inward, and feel your feelings.

For many there is more time to do so now, as they have holiday season’s slow down of work from their jobs.

Do your best not to run around and stress, instead remember that deeper values are what the holidays represent.

And though many are feeling really down about the election, Standing Rock, Aleppo, and where our country and world are headed; remember that the Nature of the Universe is bringing us through transformation into a New World and Age.

Though it may seem like darker days for humanity are upon us and will continue for a long time, in actuality beyond the TV screen of our world and outer lives we are awakening and evolving.

More and more people are breaking the chains of societal programming and leaving the herd that is walking off the cliff of an old human paradigm for living on this Earth.

The return of the light on Winter Solstice shows us not the hope of shifting the results of the election, but instead the hope that no matter what the election results show, there is no stopping the train into the Age of Aquarius.

Till next week,

Leo

Combining the Dream with Reality and Astrology Forecast December 4-10

Posted in Uncategorized, Weekly WorldView and Astrology forecast with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , on December 3, 2016 by spiritualtherapy

By Leo Knighton Tallarico

We are slowly leaving the year 2016 while we go through darker days leading to the Winter Solstice. People are now coming down from a very intense and tumultuous presidential election process.  And the Obama Presidency will soon be in our rear view mirrors.  That is very sad for many people.

So these events all tend to bring us to into deeper feeling states, a sense of endings, sadness, and grief.  The movement toward Winter Solstice can also bring feelings of being alone, even if people are around.

A good way to handle these deeper feelings is to find time to let them in without distraction or judgment, to meditate, to be in nature, to watch a sad movie or listen to music.

If fear wants to enter your consciousness too during these times, do your best to let it go as fear can turn naturally sad feelings into darker emotions like despair.

You do not want to wallow in painful feelings at this time, but instead to listen to your soul and its needs for nurturance and love.

To counter the endings and dark days leading to Winter Solstice, we just experienced the New Moon in Sagittarius, and we are hopefully feeling some joy getting ready for the Holidays.

New beginnings happen as we gradually turn to more light after the Winter Solstice, and we also bring in a new year 2017, and a new government administration with a new President.

Yes we will be entering a whole New Chapter of our lives, which would be happening no matter who became President.

The changes over the next several years will be dramatic, as we cannot have the transformation we need without such deep change.

How can we enter an Age of Aquarius with such distrust of one another, such control of our lives by the Military/Corporate/Governmental system?

As we have written before there is a groundswell of movement toward more nationalism, a tighter sense of national identity, a keeping out of immigrants and those who are different or alien.

Would it not be a perfect lesson for us all if extraterrestrial aliens made a showing on our planet for all to see?  This would likely join all those who are earthlings in family, no matter race, religion, nationality, or sexual orientation.

This could happen over the next several years and would be a great trigger of transformation into the Age of Aquarius, into a world of Diversity within Unity.

During the Obama years there was movement toward accepting greater unity between countries like with the Iran deal and the openings with Cuba.

There was the movement also toward more inclusion within the USA as marriage rights were legalized for gays and lesbians.

But our internal divisions were also highlighted as we saw African Americans still looked down upon by some in society in the form of some police brutality and murder.

The hatred and brutality toward the police and hence society was then seen in subsequent attacks and killings of them.

And then the Presidential Election process showed us how much more work needs to be done before we have a unified yet diverse nation.

This movement toward nationalism now seems to me a backlash against the perceived globalism and inclusiveness of the Obama years.

Were middle and lower income USA- mainly white citizens- left out of the inclusion? They seem to feel that way from evidence in the election process?

Has a unified world been happening too fast for some, as they fear “globalism” and a dissolution of some people’s and culture’s core identity?

Is nationalism a natural movement now to reclaim that core identity for Europeans and others?  Is that nationalsim, defined for some by keeping people from different cultures, like Muslim- out of countries?

Or is this nationalistic movement a dangerous backlash that will hold back the tide of an Age of Aquarius?

Perhaps the colonization of other countries and cultures by European countries and cultures has caused hatred and rage.  The domination of Native cultures and the slavery of Africans is part of this hatred and rage.  Standing Rock in the USA is a good example of the lingering effects of this domination.

Do you believe we can find a healing between the dominators and dominated? Have not all cultures and countries at one time or another been the conqueror or the victimized?

Is not the real issue – that all of us are living under a toxic paradigm that creates enemies and perpetrators and victims?  That promotes competition for resources and a world of haves and have nots?

That sees some as winners and privileged, and some as losers who are fated to accept much less?

Does this paradigm not also encourage humans to think of one country or religion or person as superior, while another is less or inferior?

To truly evolve into a world of Diversity within Unity there can be no such belief system, but instead one that values equality and honors the intrinsic value of one as worth as much as another.

We will need very big and important events on this Earth to shake up the old paradigm and open the portals into the New Age.

And the Trump administration and Brexit and the nationalistic movements now in places like France and Italy- will bring with it the conditions that will help with the breakdowns and breakthroughs that are necessary to transform into an Age of Aquarius.

No it will not be all be pretty and it will often look as if we are going backwards; but somehow we will learn we are all one family, diverse but unified.

And this week shows us the downs of the darker days and the ups of a Sagittarius lunar cycle, especially so now as we are in the waxing half of that cycle.

Also on Wednesday the 7th Venus leaves upright and accomplishment oriented Capricorn for unusual and  socially conscious Aquarius.  It is time to loosen up in your heart and in your relationship orientation.

On the 9th and 10th the Sun sextiles Jupiter, then conjuncts Saturn.

It is time to marry or integrate your positive outlook and your more realistic assessment of what is possible.

Till next week,

Leo

Bridge of Connection and Astrology Forecast November 27-December 3.

Posted in Uncategorized, Weekly WorldView and Astrology forecast with tags , , , , , , , , , on November 26, 2016 by spiritualtherapy

By Leo Knighton Tallarico

We come to the end of the 4th quarter lunar phase this week.   That lunar cycle began at the New Moon in Scorpio on October 30.  This passing lunar cycle included the deep realities that Scorpio represents; the mystery of Samhain; and the very intense election for President of the USA.

We finish that lunar cycle on November 29  as we experience a New Moon in Sagittarius at 7:18 AM EST that day.

Time to at least begin to let go of processing our deep hurts from what occurred this past lunar month.

Scorpio takes one to reality- deeper core reality.   It brings out secrets and hidden agendas. It is sign of transformation, ruled by planet Pluto, god of the underworld.  As such, it helps one to let go, release, and let die; while then assisting in having a sense of rebirth or renewal.

And Sagittarius is the perfect sign for rising in renewal.

This New Moon in Sagittarius on November 29 is meant to be a trigger to start again to have new beginnings.

Sagittarius is a sign of inspiration and taking the high road.  It helps one to find answers or meaning.  It is intuitive and free spirited by nature, and likes to take adventures.

This Sagittarius New Moon is squared by Neptune, so there may be more confusion than with the usual Sagittarius New Moon.

Neptune will also help with the process of surrending and letting go.  This is a time to let go of set agendas and to trust the process, not focus on the bottom line or end result.

Taking the high road instead of expressing our more negative instincts is best now with Sagittarius.

If one makes intention for what is best for all concerned, even if one’s ego disagrees, then one is aligned with the higher realms of the Universe.

Sagittarius is also about feeling joy and upliftment, so do what brings you joy and inspiration now.

Holidays, if they are celebrated in true heart joy, connects with Sagittarius.

If instead holidays are about stress, rushing around, and having resentments; then it is not aligned with Sagittarius.

So make a concerted effort at this time of year to raise your vibration to a higher octave.

Spiritual practices will be rewarded at this time of year also.

So it is a good time after this New Moon in Sagitarius to get out of your funk and go back to seeing everything that is happening from a bigger picture of meaning, of everything happening for a reason.

Chiron in Pisces changes direction from retrograde to Direct on Thursday December 1.

Chiron represents a healing bridge from one extreme to another.  So now you may be split between one part of you that is hurt, angry, and feeling depressed; and another part of you that is seeing everything from a higher perspective.

Chiron can help you find a bridge between these extremes.  This bridge will serve you to find a healing inside, and may also help you to have empathy for those you could not previously understand.

This  presidential election has revealed a big split in the United States between two very different cultures.

There has been no bridge for many in understanding the other culture.  Arguably the last time there was such a huge split in America was when there was a Civil War between the North and South.

Now the split is between so called red and blue state cultures.  It is possible there will be riots in the streets and armed conflict if we do not try our best to find  middle ground and some semblance of unity as a nation.

Much of the world is going through a similar struggle as there is a greater emphasis now on Nationalism and keeping borders stronger against immigrants and migrants.

Trump’s wall is not much different from Brexit and Britain’s need to separate from the European Union while keeping out those who are migrating from other cultures.

Other European countries are going through similar struggles.

Can we not understand both sides of the issue?  It is understandable that some want to go back to their original identity, keep their culture pure, and to keep the jobs.

But it is also quite understandable to want to have greater empathy for others who are different, to help those in trouble, and to want to have more diversity in one’s country.

At the same time as we are raising our spirits with this New Moon in Sagittarius, we are experiencing darker days on the way to the Winter Solstice on December 21.

The march to Winter Solstice is not just about the physical darkening of our world day by day.  It is also about feeling deep soulful emotions,  sadness, loss, grief, and maybe even despair at times.

That may be difficult to reconcile with the high vibrations and positivity of the New Moon in Sagittarius.

So yes it is time to find a bridge of unity between opposite extremes of yin and yang, light and dark, male and female, human and divine.

And some of your best tools can be meditation and spiritual practices, nature and of course love in your heart combined with truth in your mind.

Finding bridges is also important with the issue of Standing Rock.

We need to find a healing bridge of connection to the native tribes who are feeling abused again.

Now around Thanksgiving especially, native tribes are reminded that Europeans from the beginning denied them the land they lived on and the natural resources they needed.

And now with the building of the oil pipeline, they show little empathy for the plight and needs of the tribes.  And environmentalists are also angy with the pipeline as they believe it will damage the environment.

This could all be worked out by building a bridge of dialogue and truly considering the needs of tribes and environmentalists, as they try to understand the needs of those in power.

Do not the natives who live on that land deserve a voice on how the land they live on and the water they need is used?  Do not environmentalists deserve a voice on how decisions made now will affect future generations?

With the way Native Americans were treated when Europeans first came to their land, building that Chiron Bridge of empathy and understanding now can create a very deep healing between the tribes and those who have held and abused their power.

Till next week,

The Light of Hope and Astrology Forecast December 20-26

Posted in Weekly WorldView and Astrology forecast with tags , , , , , on December 19, 2015 by spiritualtherapy

By Leo Knighton Tallarico

This week we move through the Winter Solstice followed by a Full Moon in Cancer.

The Winter Solstice is on December 21 at 11:41 PM EST.   At that time, like in every other year, the Sun simultaneously goes into Capricorn.

At the Winter Solstice we experience the most dark minutes of a day here in the Northern Hemisphere of planet Earth.

But it is a turning point, because beginning at the Winter Solstice there will be a growing amount of light every day until the Summer Solstice.

The Summer Solstice is exactly the opposite experience, light reaches its zenith, and then afterwards every day will have increasingly dark minutes until Winter Solstice.

So cultures have always seen that at the darkest day of the year, hope comes alive knowing the Spring Equinox is only a few months away.

Spring Equinox is when light catches up to dark in equality, but afterwards light is more supreme every day until Summer Solstice.

And stories of the birth of Christ are part of this time of hope for a better future.

Christ’s supposed birth date on December 25 is celebrated only a few days after the Solstice, but it is doubtful he was born then.  March is a more likely time for his birth.

But Christianity used the general time period of nature and pagan ritual of Winter Solstice to celebrate the return of light at the Christmas holiday.

Regardless of what you believe in this regard, the Winter Solstice is a great time to meditate or be a part of ceremony and ritual.

Nature is letting us know that we are entering Winter, with its colder and darker time period- yet we know the hope of spring is “in the air”.

Many people do get depressed on the days leading up to the Solstice  and sometimes even afterwards. The Holidays can be difficult for some.

But if you can let your self naturally feel the “down” energy leading up to the Solstice, you can then get connected to the shift to the beginnings of more light and “up” energy at the time of the Winter Solstice.

Remember that planetary movements and cycles are Nature speaking to our souls.  If we stay in tune with Nature we lead a more “organic” life.

Ironically, however, the Winter Solstice is the beginning of a month that has the Sun in Capricorn.

Capricorn does not honor nature so much,  and instead feels that we need boundaries, rules, and often strict guidelines to protect us from nature’s wildness.

Capricorn metaphorically builds dams to protect us from water out of control; builds special structures to protect us from earthquakes or hurricanes; and of course builds us homes to protect us from many of nature’s ways, like wild animals or extreme temperatures.

Capricorn’s “ruling” planet is Saturn.  Saturn is gravity, time, limits, obligations, rules, commandments, and successful achievements.

Arguably, no matter how much natural talent one has, one needs to have discipline, to organize and plan.  This is a Capricorn’s way of harnessing nature so it works for you, not out of control and then against your plans for achievement and success in the world.

To counter this time of Sun in Capricorn, on Christmas Day December 25 at 6:12 AM EST, the Moon will be in Cancer exactly opposite the Sun in Capricorn. That forms a Full Moon, as all full moons have the Sun exactly and directly opposite the Moon.

So now the controls, rules, obligations, discipline and focus on achievement represented by the Sun in Capricorn meets its match with the Moon in Cancer.

The Moon’s “favorite” sign is Cancer, as the Moon’s more gentle rays find comfort in the nurturance of Cancer.

Moon in Cancer represents soul and inner values. Moon in Cancer trusts nature and human feelingss even if those feelings break open into expressions without boundaries and rules.

Capricorn puts up strict boundaries for the sake of answering to the demands of the outer world with its limits and rules.

Cancer is open to anything that is organic and natural and cares more about the “inner child’s” needs than anything else.

It will put up with moods and emotional volatility and change, no matter what as it wants to support and protect the soul from outer demands or frustrations.

So Cancer wants to nurture and protect all that is vulnerable and innocent: children, elderly, disabled, etc.

Capricorn wants to protect also, but it wants to portect  against anything or anyone that would take it off the track of its orientation for achievement and its desire to build, organize and plan.

Capricorn is structure and form, and Cancer is the soul’s energy and feelings.

So at this Full Moon in Capricorn/ Cancer do your best to balance the more allowing and permissive side of you (Cancer) with the more strict and demanding side of yourself (Capricorn).

Too much Capricorn brings us a flat line world of rules and commandments without soul and feeling and empathy.

Too much Cancer is overly protective and pernissive with feelings and moods that are not controlled.

It is a good time at this Full Moon to balance your concentration on personal inner directed family matters (Cancer) with your more professional career and outer directed matters (Capricorn).

Interestingly this year there is Uranus changing directions from Retrograde to Direct on the day of the Full Moon.

This unusual occurrence may promise a more “outside the box” Christmas Day or a time of breaking away from old family patterns. or a feeling of rebellion or wanting to be different.

We are coming to the end of a very powerfully transformational year, in fact two years 2014 and 2015.

When we look back on these two years we will even more clearly see how important they have been.

Globally we have entered a whole new era.   And 2016 and 2017 will give us the fallout from the events of those two years.

America has really changed and transformed. It is adjusting to the new threats and to its growing role as a more equal member of the world community.

It is struggling to come back to its better principles and ideals instead of a higher priority on money and might.

There is a strong tide of change rolling in, and an equally strong energy to try to hold back the tide of that change.

The political arena is where much of this will play out as there is a presidential election late in 2016.

But there are many others now who know that the conventional political route is a dead end for positive change and evolution.

They go through their transformation and evolution in other ways.  Now with social media and internet connecting us to so much beyond the old ways, and with many others wanting to live a more simple and natural life- we have much to hang onto besides the corruption and flat line energies of the political, governmental, global corporate, and militaristic old world.

The next couple of weeks we will present to you a forecast for 2016.

Enjoy the solstice and holiday time this week as best you can.
