Early this week there is a sacred yearly full moon, the Wesak Full Moon.

Every springtime it happens with the Moon in Scorpio and Sun directly opposite in Taurus.  This year it is on April 29 at 8:58 PM EDT.

People celebrate this Wesak Full Moon as Buddha’s birthday. He was said to be born on the Wesak Full Moon.

And lore has it that on the same day in a different year Buddha found enlightenment. Then on that same day again in a different year Buddha faced his death.

So you can see why so many, especially Buddhists, treat the Wesak Full Moon as a holy day.

In planetary terms this Wesak Full Moon is always a Scorpio Full Moon, so with the Sun in Taurus directly opposite the Moon in Scorpio there is a tension between calm solidity (Taurus) and intense passion (Scorpio).

Taurus and Scorpio are both “fixed” signs. Taurus is fixed Earth (body) and Scorpio is fixed water (soul).

They both can be quite stubborn.   Taurus tends to hold onto what it has possessed and Scorpio holds onto feelings, especially feelings that have resulted from having been hurt by someone.

Taurus avoids intense emotional expressions which Scorpio often shows; and Scorpio does not like the often passionless Taurus behavior.

But when in balance they are great compliments to one another:  Taurus calms and grounds the intensity of Scorpio, and Scorpio brings some spiciness and passion to Taurus.

Since they are both fixed signs, there can sometimes be a tug of war between them, with neither giving up.

A couple days after the Wesak Full Moon, there is annual Beltane. It is on May 1st and it is the mid point between Spring Equinox and Summer Solstice.

At  that midpoint, there are often feelings of optimism, as nature is turning away from Spring and toward Summer.

Beltane is considered a day of fertility, and people have traditionally moved around a maypole, signifying the dance between male and female energies.

So use this week, with Beltane and Wesak, to celebrate this beautiful time of year in the Northern Hemisphere, when nature is beginning to show its beauty.

Meditate, enjoy nature and body pleasures this week. This break is sorely needed for all of us, as there has been so much changing, shifting, and transforming.

The Scorpio Full Moon may be rather intense, especially following the Mars/Pluto conjunction late last week.  But soon after the Full Moon, the emotional climate should begin to shift from primal intensity toward more upliftment, as The Moon will be in Sagittarius most of Beltane and continuing into the 2nd and 3rd of May.

Out in the greater world, North and South Korea are bringing the world more optimism as they make promises to have peace between them.

But North Korea’s Kim Jong Un will meet Trump in late May or June for a Summit to try to resolve tensions on the Korean peninsula.

We shall see if that meeting adds to the optimism or begins to drag us into war cries again.

The Middle East holds the most possibility for great conflict as Trump will open up a USA embassy in Jerusalem in mid May, and he will also likely put a stop to the Obama and world agreement with Iran. He will likely do that by putting sanctions back on Iran. That decision also happens in mid May. There are so many countries involved in Syria, it would not take much for it to ignite into something big

So now after the Portal was opened at the Aries New Moon on April 15, we watch all the important world events come pouring through that portal. There are many more to come.

And you know you have entered a whole New Chapter of your own life.    As we get farther away from the New Moon Portal of April 15, you get more and more clear about what is manifesting in this New Chapter for you.

We have all been releasing what needs to be let go of, and as the process of letting go calms down now, we will see more clearly what is being formed as a result.  Letting go, releasing and purging, opens up space to let the new in.

Many of us have felt we have been caught between worlds or chapters of our life- the old no longer exists, yet the new not formed or in some cases not even envisioned yet.

But the shift has happened, and from now on we will get more clear about what is coming, both personally and globally.

This process of moving forward will accelerate in June, July, August.  In July/August there will be 3 eclipses in a row, and usually there are only 2 in a row.

Both Mercury and Mars will be retrograde during much of that Eclipse Season, adding to the complexity of that Season.

Remember that the old world and paradigm will suffer even more at the Fall of Rome again. It fell at the beginning of the Age of Pisces and falls again at the end of the Age of Pisces.

The reality of Empires and Superpowers is dying as the Pisces Age dies.  The new paradigm of Diversity within Unity comes with the Age of Aquarius, as power is more equally distributed.

The old form of Capitalism will die too, as there is plenty of wealth to be spread all over the globe for all the people. Now there is too much disparity between the mega wealthy and suffering poor.

Is it OK to perpetuate an economic system that rewards those whose talent is to make money, and punishes those who cannot develop riches? Do you realize how many talented, creative, spiritual and idealistic people we are losing in this world because their highest priority needs to be making money.

Greed pays  off in this system, as does domination and abuse of power.

We are in the process of transforming this system in America and all over the world.

New light, love and truth are trying to move through the cracks of the system’s concrete structure.  Those cracks will open wider soon, especially so during the next Eclipse Season in July and August.

The Portal opened on April 15, and the energies creating the Age of Aquarius will continue to look for openings in all of us.

Transformation is our reality now, so do not be afraid of how the world is looking at times now.

Humans often think they rule the Universe and Earth.  The Universe and Earth laugh. We will not destroy the Earth or the Heavens.

The cycles, planets, and seasons keep turning no matter what we do. But we sure can make our own lives to suffer, and we sure are capable of destroying ourselves.

Concentrate on your own evolution of consciousness and on spreading your light, truth and love to all you come in contact with. That is what saves the world.

Pluto Releasing the Old and Astrology Forecast April 22-28

Posted in astrology forecast, Uncategorized, Weekly WorldView and Astrology forecast with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on April 21, 2018 by spiritualtherapy

By Leo Knighton Tallarico

This past week we entered a whole New Chapter of both our collective  and personal lives.

That does not mean that it has been or will be smooth sailing now. In fact for many people there were already obstacles to work through after that New Moon in Aries last week.

Gravity ruling, “stop sign” Saturn was especially strong last week too. And though Mercury went Direct on the same day as the New Moon in Aries, for many people full clarity has not been found yet.

It takes Mercury several days after it has gone Direct to return to its usual speed, and during that time the fog may just slowly lift from our view ahead.

Make no mistake however, we have turned a corner, and are now moving forward in a new phase of life.

There is some purging to be done now, however, as Pluto has been slowing down in order to go Retrograde on Sunday April 22.

So we have been experiencing Pluto’s energy the last couple of days and will continue  to do so much of this coming week.

Pluto is a very passionate and intense ruler of the underworld, and as such brings us down into the subconscious so we can be more more conscious of what is needing to be experienced and hopefully released.

If you are drawn this week to look at the past, past events, and past patterns of thought and behavior, it is happening so you can release, let go of what is not in alignment in this New Chapter.

You do not need anymore the same old inner stories that have become heavy baggage in your consciousness and life.

So use this time now to let go of your grip on that which is weighing you down psychologically, emotionally, spiritually and/or physically.

We will in late Spring be moving much more rapidly through this New Chapter, which is in essence a new frequency and dimension in our consciousness.

But for this week, Pluto changes directions Sunday the 22nd, and then on Thursday the 26th Mars collides in conjunction with Pluto in Capricorn.  This is potentially a very intense and powerful meeting between these two planets.

And approximately 3 days before that Mars in Capricorn sextiles Jupiter in Scorpio.

Those two planetary events trigger the Jupiter sextile Pluto aspect of April 14, which formed a Yod or “finger of god” with the USA natal Mars.

Less than a day before that Yod, Syria was bombed by western nations, which points the finger to potential war in the Middle East.

But on the contrary, peace ostensibly looks more promising in Korea, as North Korea made some big compromises prior to its coming meetings with South Korea and the USA.

This week North Korean and South Korean leaders meet in a summit on April 27.  With the triggering of the Yod this week, we will get a better sense of where the finger is pointing on the Korean Peninsula- toward or away from USA conflict.

Of course the issue of gun  ownership, and the issue of police killings of black men are also part of this turning point around the USA Mars in the “finger of god” alignment now. Pay close attention to what direction all these issues are turning toward this week.

In personal lives these Plutonian interactions will tend to bring up old stories and patterns, and could also bring up more volatile emotions, especially between people in relationships.

Please do your best to know these events are happening in order to help to purge what needs to be let go. Perhaps you may feel you are being taken back to old stuff you thought had been resolved or released already.

But what is coming up is not you going backwards, it is instead an opportunity for a deeper cleaning to occur inside your mind and soul.

Also the intensity may be rising in order to help you make transformational breakthroughs that are important on your path through this new phase of life.

The old energies, stories and patterns want to be transformed into new consciousness and ways, and you can be proactive in the process if you stay conscious and aware.

Is it not totally apparent now how much everything is shifting, changing, and transforming? It is beginning to feel like the ’60s and ’70s may have been mild in comparison.

This current wave of change is not for the opportunity to put bandages on old issues so we can later go back into the same old dysfunctional ways.

Our world is transforming in ways we cannot completely comprehend yet. And each of our lives is transforming as part of that process.

Relationships especially may be rocky now, as we navigate balancing our rapid individual growth with trying to stay connected in our relationships.

It may not be totally apparent how to achieve that balance or sometimes even to know whether the relationship will last.

Will the New Chapter keep you together or will it need to bring you on separate paths?

Some of you have already been given some indication which way that is turning now, but others need more time to be able to feel more certain.

This week has some volatility and releasing necessary, but also with the Taurus influence there is a firming up of what has previously begun.

Aries is a force for moving forward, like buds coming through the branches in springtime.

Yet Taurus, where the Sun and Venus are now, stabilizes and allows to blossom what has begun.  So for the most part the month of May will stabilize, manifest, and make more solid.

Then in June, with the energies of Gemini strong, we move faster forward through our New Chapter.  Events will pour much faster through that portal that was opened at the Aries New Moon conjunct Uranus on April 15.

That was a turning point weekend for us individually and globally.

In May/June we will have a much better sense of where the Trump investigations are going. We will also know much more where the Middle East is going and where the Korean situation is going. There are many important events already scheduled for those months for those issues.

This week also has some lighter energy coming in as Venus leaves Taurus and enters Gemini on Tuesday the 24th. It will stay in Gemini until May 19.

Venus in Gemini brings with it light social interaction, more mental agility in relating, a desire for more talking and communicating, and generally also more flirting and light teasing.

That should lighten the focused intensity this week that will also be present at the usually profound Full Moon experience on Sunday April 29. It is a Scorpio Full Moon which is also called the Wesak Full Moon, often related to the birth of Buddha and Buddha light rays coming through our human experience.

Contact Deborah Tallarico at for more info on joining the online global ceremony at the Spiritual Renaissance Center for that Wesak Full Moon.

We will write more about that Scorpio Wesak Full Moon next week.

Always keep in mind that the transformation we are experiencing, as challenging as that  is sometimes, is bringing us into the consciousness and ways of the Age of Aquarius.

This New Chapter we have entered is an important vehicle in time that is moving us more strongly into the new dimensions and frequencies of that New Age.

Spirituality and the Aquarian Age, plus Astrology Forecast for May 9-15

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , on May 8, 2009 by spiritualtherapy

By Leo Knighton Tallarico

As we leave the Pisces Age for the Aquarian Age, we individually and collectively move through a great change in our viewpoints about religion and spirituality.

Meaningfully, the Pisces Age began around the time (within a few centuries) that Christ was said to be born.  2160 years is the length of an Age, and so we are on the cusp of the Aquarian Age.  Personally I believe the Aquarian Age begins at the Jupiter/Saturn conjunction at 0+ degrees of Aquarius in December of 2020.  This in the greater span of time is extremely close to the Mayan calculation of a new Age beginning on Decemebr 20 2012.

Of course it is not that important to get an exact time for these things, as no miraculous or horrible event will likely happen at that specific time.  The changing of Ages is a gradual process of changing paradigms and lifestyles and consciousness over time.

What Christ became to humanity explains some of the meaning of the Pisces Age, most specifically about the spirituality and religion of the age.  Prior to the birth of Christ and the subsequent Christian religion, most practiced spirituality was pagan in nature.   Of course there were glimpses of the One God religions in Judaism and others, but the many Gods and Goddesses, and nature worship prevailed.

Christianity arose during the Pisces Age as did Islam after the coming of Mohammed in the 7th century.   These two religions, born from the seeds of Judaism, grew enormously during the Pisces Age.  Keep in mind that organized religion, for all practical purposes, was a new phenomenon born in the Pisces Age.

These two organized religions account for the vast majority of members of religion on the Earth.  And religion in the Pisces Age has had a dominating effect on our lives and our psyches and consciousness.   Like patriotism to a nation,  organized religion has had the effect of greatly influencing people’s minds, hearts and souls.

And devotion to a religion or nation has blocked many of the natural channels to the voice inside, found in meditation by some, that tells us what is real, true, and aligned with Soul  and Spirit.  It has robbed many of the channel to their own free mindedness.

In fact the modern world, with all its ingrained institutions and their programming of our minds and hearts, has robbed many of direct free and natural access to Mind, Spirit, Soul, Universe,  and “God”.

Don’t get me wrong,, these Religions and Nations and their institutions have served a purpose in our human lives, in alignment with the Pisces Age we are rapidly leaving.

We have learned to organize, and bring together people in unified causes.  We have learned to devote ourselves, in common cause, to something greater than ourselves.    We broke away from pagan rites like sacrificing virgins or animals in death.   We learned to live by rules and morals that have protected us from each other and our more savage instincts.   We have created, from the rules of religion and society, more civility.

But our laws and rules and morals have in many aspects, through time, become empty, without the spirit and soul within which they were originally intended.

The Aquarian Age, like Aquarius, is about moving outside the stale and confining boxes of obsolete and confining reality.  It is about individual connections to greater webs of truth.   Humans are responsible for their own world, not Kings and Queens or governments or religions or Gods.

In order to live in a sustainable world, we need to take back our own minds and hearts and souls so we can create and build a New Age and Paradigm for living.

This new paradigm, as it is integrated inside ourselves, helps open the channels that have closed down in our psyches and bodies, releases the wounds and obstacles, heals the past, and brings us through powerful transformations.

We then can honor our abilities to connect directly with the Universe and all its many facets of spirit and soul.   The saviors are inside of us, love and compassion is inside of us, truth and justice resides within.  The kingdom is within, as the Christ taught.

As we move into this Aquarian Age we take with us the lessons of our spiritual masters and religion, but we give empowerment to “we the people” as individuals responsible for our Earth and our human community and our own spirituality.

Astrology Forecast for week of May 9-May 15

We begin the week facing a recently Retrograde Mercury and a Full Moon in Taurus/Scorpio.    Mercury went retrograde early on Thursday the 7th and the Full Moon is just after midnight, at 12:01 AM on Saturday morning the 9th as our forecast begins.  The days surrounding these events will be the most intense and can be quite difficult.  Some will feel overwhelmed and fearful. I hope that by Monday or Tuesday things will calm down and the rest of the week will be much more mild.

This Taurus/Scorpio Full Moon (Sun in Taurus, Moon in Scorpio) is the Wesak Full Moon, an annual event at this time of year, which is said to connect to Buddha.    It is usually a strong full moon, whose intensity is felt often times in a powerful way.   Shifts in consciousness occur.  Feeling calm like the Buddha (Taurus) in the midst of intensity (Scorpio) is the test. And since both Taurus and Scorpio are fixed signs, we know how stubborn people can be during this full moon.  Power struggles often occur.  It can also be a good time for healing emotional ills between people, though sometimes through a blow-up, catharsis and then empathy for other’s position.

On Mother’s day the moon will move into spirited Sagittarius, and for some emotional issues will wait to come out that day .  On Monday the moon will stay in Sagittarius.

The next couple of days will be more sobering and slow as the moon is in serious Saturn-ruled Capricorn.  Best to get down to business and hard work and discipline.

We are now at a waning moon cycle, time to bring energies into more Yin alignment, slowing down.

Soon however Jupiter, Chiron, Neptune and Uranus will be making inspirational aspect to one another.  We will talk more about that next time.

Stay tuned next week Saturday and every Saturday for the next forecast entry here.
