New Year 2018 and Astrology Forecast December 31- January 6

This week we transition from 2017 into 2018. We begin the year with a bang as there is a Full Moon on January 1 and Uranus goes Direct on the 2nd.   And as Uranus goes Direct, there is the relatively rare occurrence of all planets in Direct motion.

Yes 2017 is ending. And what a year 2017 was for the United States and world.

It was the first year of the new Trump administration in the USA.  This of course created intense ripples all across the globe, as the USA has a great influence in the world.

The tone being set by Trump is replicated in other parts of the world, as nationalism is creating a serious counter to a growing globalism.

There is a separation, one nation from another, that is an outgrowth of nationalism

In the 1930’s nationalism created conditions that led to severe world conflicts, that led to World War II.

And now you can see again animosity building in nations who are defining their enemy lists.

Iran, North Korea, and Muslims in general are developing in the cross-hairs of the Trump USA world viewpoint.

Israel has become a staunch ally of the Trump administration, especially so as Trump declared Jerusalem the exclusive capital of Israel.

That declaration automatically erased the USA as a mediator between Israel and Palestine.  It also automatically pushed Iran and much of the Muslim world into serious opposition to the USA and Israel.

Battle lines are being drawn as the USA under Trump is wanting to eliminate regimes they cannot have influence over within their idea of world order.

Rome, so to speak, wants more power, and Caligula (Trump) desires greater dominance in the world.

You and I are already being programmed to see Iran and North Korea as enemies with monsters as their leaders (remember Iraq/Saddam and Libya/Gaddafi?).  We are being groomed to be blindly patriotic prior to the coming confrontations.

2018 intensity begins early this year.

Winter 2018 Eclipse Season begins on January 15 at the Capricorn New Moon, to be followed by  two eclipses: A Lunar Eclipse Full Moon in Aquarius/Leo on January 31 and a Solar Eclipse New Moon in Aquarius on February 15.

These eclipses are directly opposite the signs and degrees of the eclipses last August, and as such will counter those energies as well as provide a continuance of what happened during that time.

North Korea, Syria, Charlottesville were in the world spotlight then. Trump’s growing influence over world affairs was becoming more and more obvious.

And this new Eclipse Season, which will end in early March, will not only bring back the issues of North Korea, the Middle East, and culture wars in the USA; it will also show us some strong backlash against the Trump administration.

Will that mean impeachment proceedings begin or begin to look more immanent?  I will look more closely at all this in a 2018 Forecast Video and a 2018 Podcast, which will hopefully begin a series of “radio shows” this new year.

2018 will show the Trump agenda growing, while at the same time there is a growing anti-Trump movement.

And many people will focus their energies on their own consciousness and belief systems, while at the same time wanting to co-create the New World and Age.

Those people will see truth more deeply beyond the programming, and will experience the connections by hooking into the powerful frequencies of Love that will be growing in our energy fields and souls. Magic, meaning, synchronicity, and the Universe’s signs and symbols will be available to those who are awakening beyond the brick walls of the old paradigm.

From that place new communities are building,  communities devoted to Age of Aquarius values.  Fear and hatred do not rule that new age. Truth and Love do.

So this week, the first week of 2018 begins with a Full Moon in Capricorn/Cancer at 9:25 PM EST on New Year’s Day, combined with the energies of Uranus which changes to Direct motion on January 2. And of course all planets Direct in motion.

So there will be feelings of new beginnings, greater than the usual feeling of new year beginnings.

But I do not mean New Year alcohol inspired mania. I mean feelings of breaking out and breaking through, of liberation from what holds you back.  And for many this means true desires to be free of the old ways, old patterns, stuck lives, and old paradigm.

Use this Full Moon and especially Uranus to see outside the boxes, and to see the changes you can make this year.

This New Year’s Day Full Moon has the Sun in Capricorn opposite the Moon in Cancer.

So your accomplishment world outlook and your personal world in-look will be counter to one another.  Can you now balance your work and career with family and home?  Which one needs more of your attention now?

The one that needs more attention will create events to force you to focus on it.  But remember that Uranus is strong now too, so you can go outside the usual boxes in order to find new ways to be.

You do not need to be victim to the  old family patterns or old inner stuck thinking  or feeling.

And you can now begin to liberate your self from work or career that keeps you imprisoned in old ways. Start making plans for how you will lead a life more attuned to your authentic self and a more meaningful life.

Since this is Sun in Capricorn time of year, making a plan to make the needed changes is a good way to proceed.

Later this week, Mars in Scorpio will make conjunction with Jupiter in Scorpio.  Though exact next Saturday January 6, you may experience that very intense energy a few days  before and after the actual conjunction.

There is much passion in this conjunction, and of course passion can be used positively and negatively.  If you find passion for living your life, that is positive; but some will instead get into big eruptions of emotion.

And even then perhaps that is needed to express what you have been holding in, which will hopefully clear the air between people.  Or perhaps your passion will help you to empower your self in ways that are necessary to your growth and evolution.

And in the world, events with conflict eruptions become more likely.

In your personal life and with your emotions,  stay aware of this volatile energy below the surface.   You may then be more able to sidestep ugly blowups that will only be destructive.

So this first week of 2018 will initiate us into the new year.  If you stay aligned with your Higher Self leading your way, that will set the tone for this new year.

And yes Mercury is firmly direct now, giving us more potential clarity and less breakdowns of machinery and technology.

And with all planets now Direct, there is less need to reflect and ponder, or to make excuse for staying stuck.

till next week

Creating Reality and Astrology Forecast January 8-14.

Posted in Uncategorized, Weekly WorldView and Astrology forecast with tags , , , , , , , , , , on January 7, 2017 by spiritualtherapy

By Leo Knighton Tallarico

Many people are feeling relieved as Mercury goes Direct on Sunday January 8 at 4:43 AM EST.  January 8 is a transition day for Mercury as it has been retrograde, then it is stationary, then it goes direct.

Sunday or even -Saturday through Monday- could be a time when things may be somewhat confusing, and communication could be more difficult than usual.

For some, clarity and direction unfold rather quickly after Mercury has gone direct; but for others a week or so is needed before all the fog lifts.

During Mercury Retrograde this time- did you experience any rewind into times and people from your past?  Did it happen just in dreams or thoughts, or did people from the past actually surface back into your life.

What is the significance of their appearing now in your life?  Have they helped you to put into meaningful context experiences or relationships that are happening now?

You can now feel more confident making important decisions or communicating something important to others.

This week there is also a Full Moon in Cancer on Thursday January 12 at 6:34 AM EST.

And it could be a rather meaningful time as Venus conjuncts Neptune in Pisces that same day, Mercury moves from Sagittarius to Capricorn, and most importantly a Cardinal Grand Cross is formed with the Full Moon.

The Full Moon in Cancer means that the Sun is directly opposite the Moon from Capricorn.  This happens at 22+ degrees of Cancer and Capricorn.

With Jupiter in Libra at 22+ degrees and Uranus in Aries at 20+ degrees, there is a Cardinal Grand Cross formed with the Full Moon in Capricorn/Cancer.

And Pluto gets involved too as it is 17+ degrees of Capricorn conjunct the Sun.  So five planets, two of them (Uranus and Pluto) being powerful transformational planets, make a strong Cardinal Grand Cross.

So for the days surrounding this Full Moon, it should be eventful and intense.

We will be pulled in 4 different directions, and it may feel impossible to intellectually make sense of issues or balance them.

Cancer pulls us into feelings, family, nurturance, and personal life.  Capricorn pulls us into having structure, discipline, boundaries.  And it also pulls us into accomplishment and career.

Uranus in Aries gets us to wake up to our needs for freedom, breaking out of stuck places, and honoring our individual authentic self.

And Jupiter in Libra inspires us to find balance, grace and beauty, while being more sensitive to relationship and the needs of others.

And Pluto gives everything the possibility of transformation through very intense and passionate interchange and expression.

Venus conjunct Neptune in Pisces turns the light of romanticizing on, while it fosters our needs to find escape from difficult situations or feelings.  It also will help us to surrender to the Universe and go with the flow.

And that is the best thing to do around this Full Moon as it is a complicated time period.

With Mercury only just getting back Direct, please question the previous truths and be discriminating of what is real and what is fake News.

With Mercury just moving back into Capricorn, there will be some help in finding bottom line reality.

Out in the world now, it is getting more and more difficult to determine what is true and what is not true.

People are spinning the truth to further their own agendas, while also with internet and social media there is a sometimes overwhelming amount of information and opinion that contradicts other information and opinion.

And now with the transition between an Obama Presidential administration and a new Trump Presidential administration; there will be a huge difference of opinion on what is best for the United States and the world and our own personal lives.

Already the Trump newly forming administration, which mainly represents red state culture, is trashing what President Obama has accomplished and stood for.  Many programs like Obamacare are in danger of being eliminated.

And many people with blue state cultural leanings are afraid and demonizing what Trump might bring to our world and country.

And we the people are being thrust into one side or the other of the split between parties and cultures.

In my mind it is best to stay out of the hatred and fear, stay out of making this a war- even of words.

Find your center, trust the Universe and your connection to your own sovereign mind, soul and body.

Do not be swayed by “peer pressure” or what you “should be” doing, saying or believing in.

Find your own truth and THE truth and stand up for what YOU believe in.

Stay as healthy as you can, and do your best to not be pulled into personal mental and emotional hells.

Trust the Process, and do not get hooked into the fear of what could or should happen.

Believe in your self and the circular cycles of the Universe.

No human made system, structure, paradigm, or agendas are greater than the Truth and Love that is represented by the Universe.

Humans are not the greatest and most powerful entity in this Universe.  It is true narcissism and megalomania to believe that.

We are grains of sand in the vastness of the Universe, and the only real danger is that some our current breed will be the dinosaurs of the future.

Donald Trump cannot control your life or destiny, only contribute to making it less comfortable and pleasing.

You, with your relationship to your own soul and the Universe, create your reality.

Will you join me in creating the Age of Aquarius?

Love,

Leo

Waving Goodbye to 2015 and Astrology Forecast December 27-January 2

Posted in Weekly WorldView and Astrology forecast with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , on December 26, 2015 by spiritualtherapy

By Leo Knighton Tallarico

Next week on January 2,  I will do a forecast for 2016,  including the Presidential primaries and election.

For this coming week, which includes the last week of 2015 and the first day of 2016, there is not much planetary action.

We will still feel the effects of the Cancer Full Moon the weekend of December 26/27.  Then we move through the waning half of the lunar cycle that began at the Sagittarius New Moon on December 11.

At the New Moon in Capricorn on January 9, that lunar cycle willl end as the new one begins.

But for this week the Moon’s light begins to slowly fade away as the year 2015 fades away too.

Interesingly, the rare occurence of all the planets being Direct is now in effect since Uranus went Direct on December 25.

We have a very short window of all Direct planets, as Mercury goes Retrograde on January 5 and Jupiter goes Retrograde on January 7.

We have a mere 11 days of all Direct planets.

So you can use this time to get really clear about your self and your life.  You can feel more confident in your ability to transform and change your self and your life in a positive manner.

This all bodes well for this transition time between years.

But we are also in the waning half of the lunar cycle, at the end of the year, and many taking time off from work.

So the slowdown precludes much action forward being taken, but with the Sun in Capricorn now, we can get really clear about what intentions and resolutions we want to make for the New Year 2016.

You can know more than usual for this time of year, as the planets are all direct,  what course is right for you and how you can get there.

Venus moves out of deeply instinctual Scorpio and into Sagittarius on Wednesday December 30. So your heart can help you to find more inspiration from others through conversation, books, movies, etc.

You can also begin (Venus stays in Sagittarius until January 23.) to expand your relationship efforts to repair and heal.

It should be somewhat easier, while Venus is in Sagittarius, to see the bigger picture of relationship, and to be motivated to make relationship improvements.

2014 and 2015 have been especially powerful transformational years.

Our world is going through great growing pains,  and most people find it difficult to see where we are all going.

It seems so apparent to me that the old conventional world is breaking apart, especially so as people seem tired of the old ways that are no longer working for them.

Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders both represent a breaking down of old ways.  Trump has little respect for the American political system and little tolerance for, in his opinion, politically correct ways of being.  And Sanders wants to greatly transform the economic system into one more equitable for all peoples.

Bruce/Caitlyn Jenner is a potent symbol of old gender roles and identities being more blurred than ever. This phenomenon is happening all over America.  More and more people are questioning and experimenting with sexual orientations.

So called minorities in America will be the majority of peoples in 20-30 years, totally transforming our country.  Europe also is becoming more multicultural, and other countries like Iran and Saudi Arabia are beginning to open the doors for liberation for females.

Global Climate Change is being taken more seriously in our world which will change how we live our lives, build our homes and drive our vehicles.

The internet and computer revolution is putting out newer gadgets and electronic equipment that will further transform our lives.

The Middle East shows us great transformation of national, cultural, and religious paradigms- as Iraq, Syria, Libya, Yemen, and Islamic State are shifting national identities and cultural realities.

China and Russia are flexing their national and cultural muscles greatly, and further threaten the old power structures and paradigm.

Though some of these changes may be extremely difficult to see in a positive light, they are all part of the deep and vast changes we are moving through as we transition between ages and paradigms.

Just as in personal transformation, sometimes one’s outlook during the transformational process is dark, foreboding, and painful.

As one wakes up to new ways of seeing and acting, and as one releases the old ways of being; one then moves toward more light at the end of the tunnel in the transformational process.

So do your best not to fret too much or to get too much into fear or cynicism.

Much of the ugly stuff we are seeing now is temporary, as we cleanse our human condition in preparation for greater healing and an Age of Aquarius.

I saw a documentary recently about Viking invasions of England 1300 years ago.  There were brutal and ruthless rapes, beheadings, stolen lands, and killings. There were no modern conveniences and little true freedom and individual choices.  The Christian Crusades were also quite filled with horror.

Civilization in many ways has improved greatly since then.  Actually, on the contrary, it is arguable that in many ways we have become too civilized, too emotionless, too immersed in personal mental and electronic bubbles.

We are now at a true turning point in human affairs.  And as such we are hopefully questioning most everything, so we keep that which is right for our new world, let go of that which is no longer aligned, and create our new world together.

Nothing can hold back the tides of change that have been moving through our world.  But we have choice as to the quality of that change as we re-imagine, re-think, and steer our hearts in new directions.

Till next week’s Forecast for 2016,

The Light of Hope and Astrology Forecast December 20-26

Posted in Weekly WorldView and Astrology forecast with tags , , , , , on December 19, 2015 by spiritualtherapy

By Leo Knighton Tallarico

This week we move through the Winter Solstice followed by a Full Moon in Cancer.

The Winter Solstice is on December 21 at 11:41 PM EST.   At that time, like in every other year, the Sun simultaneously goes into Capricorn.

At the Winter Solstice we experience the most dark minutes of a day here in the Northern Hemisphere of planet Earth.

But it is a turning point, because beginning at the Winter Solstice there will be a growing amount of light every day until the Summer Solstice.

The Summer Solstice is exactly the opposite experience, light reaches its zenith, and then afterwards every day will have increasingly dark minutes until Winter Solstice.

So cultures have always seen that at the darkest day of the year, hope comes alive knowing the Spring Equinox is only a few months away.

Spring Equinox is when light catches up to dark in equality, but afterwards light is more supreme every day until Summer Solstice.

And stories of the birth of Christ are part of this time of hope for a better future.

Christ’s supposed birth date on December 25 is celebrated only a few days after the Solstice, but it is doubtful he was born then.  March is a more likely time for his birth.

But Christianity used the general time period of nature and pagan ritual of Winter Solstice to celebrate the return of light at the Christmas holiday.

Regardless of what you believe in this regard, the Winter Solstice is a great time to meditate or be a part of ceremony and ritual.

Nature is letting us know that we are entering Winter, with its colder and darker time period- yet we know the hope of spring is “in the air”.

Many people do get depressed on the days leading up to the Solstice  and sometimes even afterwards. The Holidays can be difficult for some.

But if you can let your self naturally feel the “down” energy leading up to the Solstice, you can then get connected to the shift to the beginnings of more light and “up” energy at the time of the Winter Solstice.

Remember that planetary movements and cycles are Nature speaking to our souls.  If we stay in tune with Nature we lead a more “organic” life.

Ironically, however, the Winter Solstice is the beginning of a month that has the Sun in Capricorn.

Capricorn does not honor nature so much,  and instead feels that we need boundaries, rules, and often strict guidelines to protect us from nature’s wildness.

Capricorn metaphorically builds dams to protect us from water out of control; builds special structures to protect us from earthquakes or hurricanes; and of course builds us homes to protect us from many of nature’s ways, like wild animals or extreme temperatures.

Capricorn’s “ruling” planet is Saturn.  Saturn is gravity, time, limits, obligations, rules, commandments, and successful achievements.

Arguably, no matter how much natural talent one has, one needs to have discipline, to organize and plan.  This is a Capricorn’s way of harnessing nature so it works for you, not out of control and then against your plans for achievement and success in the world.

To counter this time of Sun in Capricorn, on Christmas Day December 25 at 6:12 AM EST, the Moon will be in Cancer exactly opposite the Sun in Capricorn. That forms a Full Moon, as all full moons have the Sun exactly and directly opposite the Moon.

So now the controls, rules, obligations, discipline and focus on achievement represented by the Sun in Capricorn meets its match with the Moon in Cancer.

The Moon’s “favorite” sign is Cancer, as the Moon’s more gentle rays find comfort in the nurturance of Cancer.

Moon in Cancer represents soul and inner values. Moon in Cancer trusts nature and human feelingss even if those feelings break open into expressions without boundaries and rules.

Capricorn puts up strict boundaries for the sake of answering to the demands of the outer world with its limits and rules.

Cancer is open to anything that is organic and natural and cares more about the “inner child’s” needs than anything else.

It will put up with moods and emotional volatility and change, no matter what as it wants to support and protect the soul from outer demands or frustrations.

So Cancer wants to nurture and protect all that is vulnerable and innocent: children, elderly, disabled, etc.

Capricorn wants to protect also, but it wants to portect  against anything or anyone that would take it off the track of its orientation for achievement and its desire to build, organize and plan.

Capricorn is structure and form, and Cancer is the soul’s energy and feelings.

So at this Full Moon in Capricorn/ Cancer do your best to balance the more allowing and permissive side of you (Cancer) with the more strict and demanding side of yourself (Capricorn).

Too much Capricorn brings us a flat line world of rules and commandments without soul and feeling and empathy.

Too much Cancer is overly protective and pernissive with feelings and moods that are not controlled.

It is a good time at this Full Moon to balance your concentration on personal inner directed family matters (Cancer) with your more professional career and outer directed matters (Capricorn).

Interestingly this year there is Uranus changing directions from Retrograde to Direct on the day of the Full Moon.

This unusual occurrence may promise a more “outside the box” Christmas Day or a time of breaking away from old family patterns. or a feeling of rebellion or wanting to be different.

We are coming to the end of a very powerfully transformational year, in fact two years 2014 and 2015.

When we look back on these two years we will even more clearly see how important they have been.

Globally we have entered a whole new era.   And 2016 and 2017 will give us the fallout from the events of those two years.

America has really changed and transformed. It is adjusting to the new threats and to its growing role as a more equal member of the world community.

It is struggling to come back to its better principles and ideals instead of a higher priority on money and might.

There is a strong tide of change rolling in, and an equally strong energy to try to hold back the tide of that change.

The political arena is where much of this will play out as there is a presidential election late in 2016.

But there are many others now who know that the conventional political route is a dead end for positive change and evolution.

They go through their transformation and evolution in other ways.  Now with social media and internet connecting us to so much beyond the old ways, and with many others wanting to live a more simple and natural life- we have much to hang onto besides the corruption and flat line energies of the political, governmental, global corporate, and militaristic old world.

The next couple of weeks we will present to you a forecast for 2016.

Enjoy the solstice and holiday time this week as best you can.

Till next week,

Leo

Ready or Not and Astrology Forecast December 13- 19

Posted in Weekly WorldView and Astrology forecast with tags , , , , , , , , , , on December 12, 2015 by spiritualtherapy

By Leo Knighton Tallarico

On and around Friday December 11 we received energies that assist us in getting out of stuck places and patterns.

Mars opposed Uranus and then there was New Moon in Sagittarius.

It is a signal that it is time to move forward.  We can begin to move beyond having to concentrate on intensive processing of emotions and thoughts, digging deeper to face our demons and shadows, and feeling stuck and unable to move forward.

It is time to more fully enter a new chapter of our lives here on Planet Earth.

We have been in this new chapter for awhile already, but now we can begin to stop mulling over what we imagine we did wrong,  stop feeling we are the victim to someone or something, and stop going over the same tapes in our minds that keep us trapped.

It is time to embrace the free spirit in us, and to allow the Universe and our Higher Selves to inspire our souls and help guide us.

It is time to let go of the excuses that have held us back, and to more fully take responsibility for our lives and the world we live in.

Indeed so many of us have been traumatized by our childhoods and earlier experiences, and challenged by the wounds we have endured and the karma we have received.

But there are times such as now when we can throw off the chains that have bound us and start to trust our deeper souls and the Universe.

Of course there will still be times when you will face your demons again, when you will need to feel your trauma again; but you can now begin to stop letting those issues Control your heart, mind and life.

What is running your show, so to speak?  Is it love or fear?

Now is the time, as the Sagittarius New Moon has just been experienced, to let the fire of spirit lift you forward in your life.

It has felt like a long time since the Eclipses of September.   We now are in a whole new realm of experience.

The global powers that be are trying to manage grave new terror threats, a weakening global economy, and a Middle East and world that is so susceptible now to some spark of miscalculation that would light a fire of world war.

President Obama, whatever you otherwise feel about the job he has done, has been holding back the tide of overwhelming forces of potential global disaster.

He opened up doorways to better relations with Iran and Cuba; he has resisted the temptation to demonize Islamic peoples; and he has tried to detach from his emotions in order to listen to his “better angels” inside.

Of course he is largely controlled by big Corporate interests and a decaying global  paradigm, as all presidents would be now.

But he at least is walking a thin line that has opened some consciousness and light into the new world and age.

There is the light of Diversity in Unity beginning to shine through his making relationship with Cuba, Iran, and Islam.  And his administration has helped open doors for greater rights for LGBT peoples.

And he has given credence to obvious abuse of African Americans as seen in Ferguson and elsewhere.

And he has taken part passionately in the recent global conference on Climate Change.  That conference has just come up with a plan to deal with Climate Change, a most postive world development.

The Uranus/Pluto square has been aspecting the natal Sun/Saturn of the USA from its birth on July 4 1776.  It has been doing so ever since the Cardinal Grand Cross in April 2014.

The Sun in a person’s or any entity’s of country’s natal chart represents one’s central self and identity, one’s ego, but also one’s higher purpose.

Pluto and Uranus are two powerful transformational planets.   As they make aspect to the USA natal Sun they are trying to get the USA prepared for a Diversity in Unity Age of Aquarius.

As such the USA is needing to let go of its ego of Superpower.  It is hopefully in the process letting go a paradigm that gives license to impose its way of being on others.

President Obama’s time in office has shown some light as we have said before into a transformed USA ego and sense of purpose.

But at the same time there is a collective desire to cling to the old ego.

Is not Donald Trump a reflection of that narcissistic ego?

Can we as a nation rise beyond that ego, and reintegrate the better values from our founding principles.

All men are created equal with certain inalienable rights like life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.  But now those principles need to be applied to all peoples all over the Earth.

All people are created equal; diverse peoples living together in unity; and freedom to pursue one’s individual or country’s destiny are principles of the Age of Aquarius.

BTW the USA natal chart shows a Moon in Aquarius. The Moon is one’s inner soul and inner values.

If we can return to the core of our values we can be a benefit to humanity, not to dominate but to work in equality with all others.

The Earth and USA have also now more fully entered this new chapter of human life on Planet Earth, on the road to an Age of Aquarius in the 2020’s.

For all of us it is now “ready or not here it comes”.

There is no  more turning back and no more sitting on fences, no more hand wringing with fear.

We have each chosen which fork in the road we are taking, even if that choice is buried within- beyond our conscious knowing.

This coming week has no really strong aspects pushing or pulling us in any direction.

Nevertheless, we are on an “upward slope’ on the way to the Full Moon in Cancer on Christmas Day.  And we are at the same time on a “downward slope” on the way toward the Winter Solstice on December 21/22 (depending on what time zone you are in).

Processing on our lives and emotions and spiritual path will continue even though we are now taking the ride through this new chapter of life.

But that processing will have strong intention now of finding solution, fostering positive transformation, and continuing to awaken or stay awake to the truth and love all around.

Even if you feel some depression with the darkening days, winter coming on, or the state of our world; it is wise to find a way to see the glass of life as half full now, so you do not slip back into old stories and get swallowed up in fear or rage.

We are inexorably moving into the Age of Aquarius, even if events may seem frightening and foreboding.

Till next week,

Leo

Mutual Respect and Astrology Forecast January 11-17

Posted in Weekly WorldView and Astrology forecast with tags , , , , , , , , , on January 10, 2015 by spiritualtherapy

By Leo Knighton Tallarico

Last week’s tragedy in Paris happened in the wake of a powerful Full Moon in Cancer that formed a T-Square with transformational planets Uranus and Pluto.

Now I believe the intensity level will subside for awhile, at least until around the New Moon in Aquarius on January 20- followed by Mercury Retrograde on January 21.

But then in March when Uranus exactly squares Pluto again- for the last time after 6 previous exact squares- a powerhouse of planetary aspects will begin.

The world as we know it is in the process of monumental transformation into a New Age of Aquarius.

So much needs to shift so we may eventually live in a world of more equality and fairness, one where Diversity within Unity is the standard of the world.  Love and Truth, the pillars that hold up the Universe, will need to be the pillars that hold up our human culture on Earth too.

Abusive power; greed; cover-ups and lies; corruption; and violence will need to be cleansed from our human consciousness in order for the New Age to be birthed and to flourish.

Right now there is a growing conflict between the values and traditions of the Western World and a rising tide of Fundamentalist Islam.

The western values of freedom and freedom of speech have been violently challenged this past week in Paris.

I as a western living American place a very high value on freedom and freedom of speech.  And I also believe the killing of those cartoonists and others of Charlie Hebdo is horribly wrong and there is no excuse for it.

But I also believe that with freedom comes responsibility and sensitivity toward others’ sacred beliefs.

As a spiritual person, I am not fan of most organized religion of any brand; but at the same time I respect that others do have strong religious beliefs.  In a world of Diversity within Unity it is imperative that we respect others’ ways of life as long as the Golden Rule is used.

That means that as long as someone else’s beliefs or way of life does not directly hurt anyone else it is OK.

Is it being responsible and sensitive to demean and humiliate a God some cherish and love?  Did you see the cartoons that Charlie Hebdo made of Mohammed?  They humiliated him and also showed no sensitivity to the fact that Muslims believe that Mohammed’s image should not be shown or drawn, etc.

I also believe that humor needs to be free to be irreverent, to poke fun, to show the Emperor with no clothes. Being spiritually or politically correct holds back the truth that humor gives us.

But those cartoons of Mohammed were filled with hate and sought to humiliate.  Mean spiritedness is not the same as pointed sarcasm.

I know many of you are thinking “yea but who is to draw the line and how does one draw the line?”

If it is about what another culture finds sacred,  as sacred as Islam finds Mohammed, then we should respect that.

Are Christians OK with Jesus being shown as depraved or perverted and him being humiliated?

Well perhaps here in America where freedom of speech is also a sacred value, perhaps one can get away with it?   But if the other culture does not have that same cherishing of freedom of speech, is it not responsible and sensitive of us to put limits on our expression, especially if those expressions are filled with venom?

Again let me reiterate there that there is no excuse for the killings. Those people did not deserve to die for those cartoons.

But if we are going to build a New World, one where we respect the differences in a world of Diversity within Unity; then all people will need to respect the cherished values of other cultures.

To get to that New World, all cultures and peoples will need to leave behind the idea that their way of living is superior and that all others should believe and live the same way!

So now you can see the work to be done, and there may be more and more ugly situations that erupt until we start waking up to what is needed.

If you start hating Muslims and their way of life and judging them, it will be no different than the judging of blacks or gays or hispanics, or transgenders, etc.

Please do not buy into what is developing, now in both Conservative and Liberal cultures (see Bill Maher).   If we from all sides further demonize Muslim culture we are contributing to what is brewing so strongly now:  world war.

So this coming week brings us a 4th quarter Moon in Libra Tuesday the 13th.  After that the waning moon brings more downward movement to our consciousness.  Low key is the watch phrase, and as Mars goes into Pisces on Monday January 12, that reality gets stronger.

Mars will stay in Pisces until February 19, so forceful and straight-forward activity turns to a more circuitous process. Mars in Pisces brings yang Mars into yin Pisces.

It is time to let the flow of life, as it unfolds, determine what you will do. Overly aggressive movements may find much frustration in fulfilling an agenda or reaching a goal now.

The 14th/15th may add to that theme as Mars squares stop sign Saturn.  Be patient and all will turn out better.

All in all this is a good week ahead to process one’s thoughts and feelings, to heal, to work things out.  But it is not a great time to rush forward, to take on big projects, to have important new beginnings. Be careful not to let yourself get too negative or depressed.

See you next week,

Leo

Dancing with the Full Moon and Astrology Forecast January 4-10

There is a Full Moon in Capricorn/Cancer Sunday January 4 at 11:53 PM EST.

It will likely be a strong and transformational lunation, as both Uranus and Pluto are connected to it.

The Moon will be closely in opposition to Pluto and square to Uranus in Aries.  The Sun will be closely conjunct to Pluto and square to Uranus.

This forms a cardinal T-square, a very strong configuration of planets.

I know many of you are sensitive to the energy of full moons.

And usually a Full Moon in Capricorn/Cancer is rather stable, even if sometimes emotional or mysterious.

This year’s Capricorn/ Cancer Full Moon, as it contains Uranus and Pluto, may also bring with it greater intensity and a shakeup of your usual default behavior patterns.  It may require more letting go of the past and how it used to be, and more accepting of how new roads will need to be travelled.

Cancer can be emotional, especially around family or parenting issues.  And Capricorn is more stoic and reserved.  Cancer is the permissive archetypal “Mother”, allowing unconditionally of what happens organically. Capricorn is the taskmaster “Father”, creating boundaries and rules and expectations.

You may be dealing with parenting or family issues or memories over the next few days.   Balancing home and job could be important, as well as balancing personal needs with obligations out in the world.

There could be a dilemma between deciding “how much does one nurture another or oneself”, versus “how much does one need more discipline and meeting of demands.”

Energetic intensity will subside a few days after this Full Moon.  Then we will be in the waning half of the lunar cycle that was initiated at the Winter Solstice on December 21 2014 with  New Moon in Capricorn.  That lunar cycle goes until January 20 at the New Moon in Aquarius.

So after this Full Moon in Cancer- until the New Moon in Aquarius on January 20- there will not be much in the way of high spirits.  The intensity level will turn down and so then it is either time to contemplate and reflect and/or come down into reality and do what needs to be done.

Be careful not to dip too much into the pit of depression, self pity, or self loathing during that time period.  There may be a need to process and find resolution, but there is no need to self destruct.

There may also be a sensed need to “clean things up”, and perhaps a greater acceptance of endings and new chapters of one’s life.

Keep in mind we are preparing ourselves for a very powerful late winter and spring.  But no matter how much you need to see the truth and be real, keeping your mind seeing a half full glass of life instead of a half empty one is very important for mental health.

This week there will be three planets in Aquarius: Mars, Venus, and Mercury.   So there will be some movement out of Capricorn resolutions, commandments and conventional rules; and instead movement into “doing one’s own thing”, and accepting the differences between people.

There may also be- by the end of this week- a need to get in touch with one’s social consciousness, but there may not be much motivation to put this consciousness into action until after the New Moon in Aquarius on January 20.

Late in 2014 Saturn moved out of Scorpio, where it had stayed for 2+ years, and then moved into Sagittarius in December 2014.  It will dip back into the late degrees of Scorpio for awhile again later this year, but then enter back into Sagittarius in mid September. It will stay there until late 2017.

As a result of this movement by Saturn into Sagittarius, the mutable signs of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces will feel more of need to “get it together”- for themselves and their lives.

Fixed signs Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius should feel a release of pressure and responsibility.

In the greater world we are getting used to a very changing world. And in 2015 there will likely be even greater change.  It is also likely this year that the global economy will suffer greatly, including here in the USA.

This is all meant to be a part of the transformation of our world out of the Age of Pisces and into the Age of Aquarius.

This changing of ages brings a movement toward more equality and sharing, a rebalancing of power.

Old paradigms and institutions that hold up those old ways will begin to lose their power over the people.

But of course there will be a countermovement to desperately hold control and dominance.

That will cause more revolutionary movement and a faster evolutionary track of consciousness.

There are new frequencies and beams of new light pulsing and wanting to enter our collective consciousness and personal lives.

They will meet with much resistance, which will create greater turmoil in our world and in many personal lives.

If we each can get out of our own way, can release ego controls and open up to spirit; then we will experience more awakenings, more synchronicity and magic, and a greater sense of connection with the Universe, our human family, and our authentic and healthy soul potential.

Meditation and spiritual practices are essential.  Going to healers and spiritual guides will be quite useful on our journeys this year.  Eating and moving more in tune with our bodies’ needs is important also.

You can find your natural place in this New Age, your function in the greater human community.  You do not need to save the world or others, as that consciousness was more attuned to the Pisces Age, begun around the time of the Christ.

Now it is more important in an Age of Aquarius to actualize your true individuality and in the process find your place and contribution within the greater whole.

See you next week,

Leo
