Mercury is now Direct but Mars is still Retrograde until June 29.
Thinking and perceiving should be getting clearer, decisions should be easier to make; but it is not time yet to fully move forward into this new phase of your life.
Nevertheless, by the end of this week there will be more spirited energy to woork with, increased mental activiity and a growing need to connect with others and to communicate.
But first we deal with the last quarter of the lunar cycle, starting Sunday the 29th of May. With the Moon being in Pisces that day, the pull will be inward and yin-ward, processing all that has happened over the last weeks.
Last quarters of lunar cycles are for processing, going inward and preparing for new beginnings at the New Moon.
The next New Moon will be in Gemini on Saturday June 4.
Before that efforts to get moving faster forward could be thwarted or held back.
Also this week the Sun will be making aspect to Saturn and Neptune, This will touch off an important aspect this year: Saturn square Neptune. The next exact aspect between them will be on June 17.
Saturn and Neptune have a cycle between them that lasts over 100 years. The most recent cycle began as they were conjunct each other (in the same place in the zodiac) in the late 1980s and early ’90s.
Saturn is law and order, rules and regulations, boundaries and limits. Neptune is surrender and allowing, openness and trust, no boundaries or limits. At its zenith Saturn is right wing fascism. At its zenith Neptune is anarchy.
While Saturn says no under all circumstances, Neptune is open to everyone and everything.
In our country this Saturn square Neptune aspect has been manifesting as thougts of building a wall to keep out immigrants versus letting everyone in.
In Europe it translates into open borders for immigrants from the Middle East versus strict nationalism keeping all but natives out..
In the late ’80s and early ’90s, at the last conjunction between Saturn and Neptune, the Soviet Union was breaking down and South Africa was breaking down apartheid’s oppression over black people.
So though they fought for old rules and ways, eventually the boundaries were broken down in each instance.
It happened relatively gracefully in each instance. Sometimes, however, Neptune can be quite chaotic and even anarchic if it does not see “progressive”results. Saturn can be quite oppressive and fascistic if rules and boundaries are being broken.
The Neptune/Saturn square is triggered this week, as the Sun makes aspect to both Neptune and Saturn.
Watch for the above themes to be playing out.
Saturn is also structure, laws and institutions. Neptune circumvents structures as water moves around, through and under rocks and solid structures. Neptune is mythologically “god of the ocean” and signifies water.
As Neptune and Saturn do their “square” dance with one another, there may be large protests or even riots. This aspect is intensely in effect all this year.
At its worst there can be martial law (Saturn) or complete anarchy (Neptune).
What Russia is doing in many of its old Baltic states- like Ukraine- may be in part to bring back the remnants of the old Soviet Union.
Some countries now are symbolic of Saturn/Neptune as their boundaries are more unclear: Iraq, Syria, and LIbya.
As we change ages old borders and rules and paradigms are meant to transform. Our world is already looking and feeling differently and will continue ot do so. By the 2020’s we will not recognize our world now in the same way. Personal lives are changing radically also.
In your own life what structures are coming undone in your life? What old rules you used to live by don’t feel right anymore? Are you too permisive or too strict with your children, mate, family, or friends? Do you have “open borders” ot yoru heart or is your heart closed?
On June 4 at 11 PM there is a New Moon in Gemini. This should give some much needed energy to those who have felt shut down or depressed lately. The mind especially will be energized and teaching and learning are encouraged over the next month. Gemini also is more social than its predecessor Taurus. It is quite the communicator and talker and can deliver information like a pure journalist (which is hard to find nowadays).
This New Moon in Gemini means it is time to move forward, but watch your step on anything important as Mars (planet of action and forward movement) is still Retrograde. Your big steps forward into new and important places waits till July and beyond. The New Era is held in abeyance.
This New Era is leading to the Age of Aquarius. There is nothing to stop this wave of change.
Nevertheless, we humans do have input on how this will all turn out. Do we fight to the death (literally) to keep the old ways or do we open ourselves up to deep healing and transformation.
President Obama was the first American president to ever visit Hiroshima Japan where we dropped an atomic bomb, killing almost 100,000 people the vast majority innocent civilians. A few days later we dropped another atomic bomb on Nagasaki, killing another 100,000 people.
To his credit President Obama went there to pay respects ot those who suffered and died as a result of our tragic bombing. An apology would have been better.
But these weapons of mass destruction represent our collective human hatreds and unconscious desires to destroy our selves and our world.
We can hope and pray that our collective consciousness evolves enough to let in the light and love of the Age Of Aquarius.
Till next week,
I am officially changing the webinar dates from beginning June 4 to beginning August 6 then continuing on August 13, and 20. Here is what the webinar will continue to be:
We will be discussing the deep layers of consciousness needed during this important time in human evolution. The class will provide a wider perspective and deeper insight.
