More Volcanoes, More Uranus in Aries changes, and Astrology Forecast for May 30-June 5

The power of the Earth has spoken again.  Since Uranus entered Aries Thursday, for a mostly 8 year stay, 2 volcanoes have erupted- in Guatemala and  in Ecuador.

In Guatemala, the Pacaya volcano began spewing lava, rocks and debris on Thursday, the day of the Uranus entry, killing at least two people and injuring more than 50 others.

In Ecuador, the  Tungurahua volcano has forced the evacuation of seven villages and shut the airport and schools in Guayaquil, the country’s largest city.

These volcanoes follow close behind the Iceland volcano eruption this spring, which closed many European airports for extended periods of time.   Taken together with the powerful earthquakes that have occurred this year, most notably the devastating one in Haiti, we are collectively experiencing more natural disasters than usual.

As we have spoken of many times before in this blog, this spring and summer 2010 are meant to bring much transformational change to our earthbound human family.   And now with Uranus recently moved into Aries and soon to be joined by Jupiter in Aries on June 8; the changes accelerate.

And then this summer, energies intensify even more as there is a Lunar Eclipse Grand Cross on June 26; followed by a Solar Eclipse on July 11; and a Cardinal T-Square in late July/early August with Mars, Saturn, Jupiter and Uranus.

Natural upheavals will not be the only upheavals we experience.   Like the horrific  BP oil spill and our current economic downfall, other “man-made” disasters await us.

We are at human judgement day, so to speak, as we change ages from a Pisces Age to an Aquarian Age.   As with all age changes or any kind of powerful transitions, there can be enormous birth pains.   And while the new age is in the birth canal, we all as a human family make intention for our new age.

What do we release from the last age that does not serve our evolution as a species or our citizenship in our Earth community?   What do we bring with us?   The awaiting challenges will force us to look deeper at who we are, where we have come from, and where we want to go.

Do we want to continue our paradigm of dog-eat-dog survival of the meanest and greediest?  Do we want to continue to see ourselves as separate from one another, as often times enemies who destroy one another?  Do we want to continue a world of privilege for some and poverty and suffering for others?

Do we want to continue to destroy our Earth and its creatures in order to satisfy our selfish desires?  Do we want to continue a predator/prey mentality within our human family that destroys many souls and lives of both the predator and prey?

Do we want to continue to allow our privileged members of society to use others for their own gain? As such can we continue to give privilege to priests and other clergy who molest and destroy the lives and trust and hearts of innocent children?

The Universe will bring us new challenges, which will assist us in releasing old ways that no longer serve our human and Earth community.  These challenges will come in the form of more more economic upheaval, which will give us more creative ability to create a better, more fair and just financial system.

We will deal with more man-made karmic disasters like the recent oil spill, which can motivate us to create better environmental structures and controls, and new alternative energy sources.

We will deal soon with threats of new wars that have the potential to be world wars. These threats may take us to know the fear of nuclear warfare.  Will we then as a result make a true commitment to rid our world of weapons of mass destruction as well as rid our world of the need to destroy others who we compete with or do not understand?

Are we ready to embrace the knowledge that we are all ONE FAMILY on a precious and beautiful Earth, in an awesome and complex Uni-verse?

As you personally embrace this ONENESS, this diversity in unity, as you embrace your authentic and sacred self in this greater community; you then can expect more magic and synchronicity, more feelings of love, more knowing of truth.  You will be more motivated to do your part in contributing to the New Aquarian Age upon us.

Astrology Forecast for May 30-June 5

Saturn, also known as Chronos, signifies time and the limitations time presents us with. On Sunday May 30 Saturn goes direct. It has been retrograde since January 13.  When it goes direct, it is as if Time marches forward again.

There can be a sense then of getting one’s life together or doing what you need to do.  There can be a feeling of increased responsibility, or for some an event occurs that feels somewhat fated or meant to be.   But overall there is sense of not being able to run away from something. It is time to get started with what one may have been putting off or procrastinating about.

Saturn direct can also feel very grounding, and give us order and structure to our lives now.  We are letting go of things that time tells us are ready to end, and we are ready to march forward into something new.   IT IS TIME.

The next day on Monday Neptune changes directions also, but is going from direct to retrograde. Neptune in the air helps us lay back and open up to that which is greater than our selves. It can be a turning more to the Universe or God or Goddess, more to our own inner worlds and dreams.

Together, Saturn and Neptune frequencies now bring us a slow down energetically, a time to ponder and plan.  Others will find this combination a time to feel obligation or guilt, before they are ready to move forward with their lives.

And move faster-forward we are bound to do soon. Jupiter goes into Aries on June 6 and joins Uranus in Aries on June.

These movements are bringing us to new beginnings, to breaking outside our usual boxes of of life, to break down old patterns that no longer serve our growth and progress. It is a time to embrace our independence and strength, to fight for what we believe in, to expand our horizons.

Many more world and personal changes are coming our way.  We can, as a result,  break the chains that bind us now, and liberate our hearts, souls and minds from old conditioning and programming and dysfunctional patterns of behavior.

See you next week

Uranus in Aries and Astrology Forecast for May 23-May 30.

Energies of change are circulating much faster through our psyches and lives.    This passing week we witnessed political earthquakes of change.   There has been an uncommon amount of upsets in politics lately.   There is a growing trend to vote in fresh new people to elected office.  This new trend began on November 4 2008 when Barack Obama was elected president of the United States.

The election happened on the day of the first pass of Uranus opposite Saturn.    Saturn is tradition, status quo, and conservative.  John McCain clearly represented this planetary energy.    Uranus is the Aquarian planet and represents breaking “outside the box” with radical change.     Obama, our first presidential candidate with African American heritage, represented this Uranian planetary energy.  The 5 passes of Uranus/Saturn end this summer.

As in the Presidential election, the movement is to be liberated from the old ways that have lost their “lifeblood”, and to bring in fresh new ways.  The recent elections have kept up this theme, although not usually toward the side of the democrats.

Republican Scott Brown was elected Senator of Massachusetts, filling the seat left open by the death of long time senator Ted Kennedy, a member of the American royal family of Kennedy. This was a huge upset, and has been followed this past week by the upset primary win of libertarian leaning Rand Paul, Ron Paul’s son in Kentucky; and the upset loss of Arlen Spector, long time senator of Pennsylvania.

The rise of the Tea Party movement in America is part of this shift.  Though many of the Tea Party members are motivated largely by hate and narrow mindedness,   this “party” is part of the transformation of American politics now.  American citizens apparently are wanting big change outside the traditional political boxes.  They are tired of business as usual.  In my estimation, there is revolutionary energy growing toward giving the power of our country to the people, which was the vision of the founders of this country.

And as is being seen in Thailand, with the riots of the people there against their corrupt government, this revolution of the people is against the heavy constraints of  old world wide economic and military structures that benefit the few, not the vast majority of peoples of the world.

And people are also getting more fed up with many other old ways that do not serve the people, do not serve our environment, our sacred Earth and its creatures.  The recent oil spill is a horrible disaster.    It cannot be allowed to happen again.   We have known for many, many years that we need alternative sources of energy.  And yet we continue to be reliant on foreign oil, which keeps putting us into new wars and killing more people.   And we continue to drill for oil off our shores, which created this recent disaster, and will create more if we do not decide to STOP DRILLING.

The ending of old ways and the creation of new ways is also shown in other astrological aspects coming now.   Keep in mind all these aspects have greater influence than they normally would because we are on the cusp of an Aquarian Age and near the Mayan Calendar New World date of 2012.

This coming week shows us Uranus moving into Aries. It has not been in Aries since 1927-1935, a time of changing fortunes in the American economy as the Depression broke the bubble of roaring ’20s euphoria. This was also a time of other great and revolutionary changes in the USA and world.

At the beginning of Uranus in Aries in 1927-1928, as we are now about to experience, there were many new ideas that were manifested.   Remember that Uranus is radical change, and Aries is the first breath of springtime, a sign of new beginnings. Uranus works well in Aries to bring big change.  New ideas instituted in 1927-28 included the first talking movie, the Jazz Singer; Lindbergh with the first solo flight across the Atlantic; penicillin discovered; and even bubble gum invented.

As we are in the throes of Age shifting, we can expect bigger new beginings now.  New information about our human origins is on the way.     The old creationism versus evolution discussion is still alive, but will become obsolete as new information is discovered.   We have human roots in the “heavens”, from the “stars”, and will learn more as time goes by during the Uranus in Aries years, 2010-2018.  These years will deliver us into the Aquarian Age.  Much change is afoot, and our overall Paradigm will change drastically.

Uranus moves into Aries this week Thursday May 27, on the same day as the full Moon in Gemini/Sagittarius.   Pay close attention to world events that day to get a “feel” for what is coming during the time of Uranus in Aries, 2010-2018.     Watch what is developing in your own life that day to get in touch with what new trends may be developing for you.

This Full Moon in Gemini/Sagittarius will be at 7:07 PM EDT and 4:07 PM PDT on May 27. This Sagittarius Full Moon is usually very lively and animated.     It is not too difficult to get carried away in conversations around this full Moon.    Some have to watch from being overly excited at this Full Moon.  Look for meaning in all you do now, and realize everything happens for a reason. This attitude can help you find more faith in life.

Jupiter makes opposition to Saturn this week also.  This marks the half way point of the 20 year Jupiter/Saturn cycle, which began at their conjunction in Taurus in 2000.  Jupiter/Saturn cycles always promise a “changing of the guard” in our culture. George Bush was elected the year of the conjunction and his presidency significantly changed our American and world culture.   We are now experiencing, with the aforementioned political shifts, a new “changing of the guard”.   More cultural changes are on the way.

After Jupiter moves past this pass of Jupiter opposite Saturn, it moves into Aries on June 5, and then will intensify Uranus in Aries when it makes conjunction with Uranus in Aries on June 8.    We will talk more about this in the next few weeks, but it promises to add more spark to the coming changes and new beginnings.

In your personal life, get ready for new beginnings.    This will be especially true if you are born in the early days of Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn. This corresponds to late March, late June, late September, and late December.   For those people big change will occur over the next few years.   Of course you could have other planets in early Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn, and could be born at any time of year to then be part of these  big changes.

The approaching Lunar Eclipse Grand Cross in Cancer/Capricorn also affects all the early degrees of Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn.

For all of us it is a time to expect more changes in the world, including a transformation of our economic system, more natural and man-made disasters.   War cries will get stronger this year also.  Be most aware of what is transpiring in the Middle East and in Korea.

Though we can expect our Old World to go through deep and sometimes horrible pain, there are also many wonderful and beautiful events on our collective horizon.  This process is reflective of the labor pains leading us to a new birth into an Aquarian Age.

Let go of your attachment to the old ways, to the old structures of your personal world.  Do not hold on too tigthly to anything.  Be flexible.   And know that the release of the old will bring you much liberation and freedom, an opening of your heart and soul again.

You do not need that job that oppresses you and makes you feel your life is in servitude to something that holds no meaning for you.  You will be better off to get out of that relationship that has kept your heart in chains because of poor communication, little emotional connection, and lack of mutual respect. You do not need to stay in a home or living situation that is miserable for you.  Keeping what is merely familiar to you will not make you happy.   You do not want to look back at your life when you get very old, and regret a life wasted.

Open your wings and get ready to fly.

See you next Saturday

Waves of Change and Astrology Forecast for May 16- May 22

Posted in Weekly WorldView and Astrology forecast with tags , , , , , on May 15, 2010 by spiritualtherapy

By Leo Knighton Tallarico

The airwaves are clearing now that Mercury is back direct again.  Whatever felt foggy and scrambled, is clearly aligning again. We are in the waxing phase of the moon also, after the New Moon in Taurus last Wednesday, just after Mercury went direct.  There is movement forward, but being Taurus, the speed is slow and deliberative.

We are preparing for a most powerful wave of change coming, surrounding the Lunar Eclipse Full Moon Grand Cross on June 26 and the Solar Eclipse New Moon on July 11.   We are now merely “tippy toeing” into these strong new waves.   After the New Moon in Gemini on June 12, the waves will surround us and sweep us into new adventures. By late Autumn 2010 we will be in new lands, having been transfromed by momentous events in the months prior.

This coming Monday May 17, Mars makes a meaningful passage.  It will return, at that time, to the same position it held back in December 2009, when it went retrograde. It went back direct on March 10, and will have come full  circle at 19+ degrees of Leo this Monday.    Mars retrograde is a time when we need to reflect on what we really want and where we want to go forward with our lives.

Now, after Monday, we move more solidly forward again on our soul’s path.  Storms may be ahead as we enter the eclipse zone soon, but we are more clearly directed and prepared.  The coming twists and turns will not take us off our path, but instead will assist us to transform old patterns and thoughts to be more in alignment with the world we are moving into.

And make no mistake about it, we are entering a new era, a new age here on Planet Earth for the human family.  And there is much cleaning up of old ways ahead for us.

We live in a greater culture that is split between wordly affairs and spiritual affairs. Many get their spirituality only on Sundays.   They play the nasty games of life the rest of the time in order to survive, as they see it.

Survival of the fittest, dog eat dog, greed is good, lifestyles are part of the old paradigm. The other part of the old paradigm is that we need to be good, unselfish, and sacrificing.

Though it is true that everyone naturally cares about their own welfare, that does not mean we need to beat others into submission in order for us to have good lives.

But we also do not need to sacifice our own needs either.

This split in ourselves and our culture is in part because we have been programmed to believe there is something wrong with us.  We are handicapped by beliefs in original sin.

As we move into this New Aquarian Age, it is imperative that we take away the judgments on ourselves for being naturally human.  But naturally human does not mean greedy and hateful, does not mean selfish and uncaring of the needs of others.

It also does not mean we need to not care about ourselves, to only see good in everyone, to not care about our own needs and desires, to make money bad, to not allow for our own anger and rage sometimes.

Each side of the split feeds on the other side.  The person who does not honor their own power and needs, draws to themselves the person who abuses power and only cares about themselves.

So use these shifting tides of change to enter a new season for your life, a better world.  This new world is about wholeness and oneness.

As you heal and transform and bring your self in wholeness, you become like the Yin Yang symbol, opposites held in the circle of oneness.  This wholeness is the New Human for the Aquarian Age. No more war between male and female, between countries and cultures.

Heated disagreements- yes, as we each have our ways, our own desires and wants. But we take our sacred authentic selves into relationship, into community- working out our disagreements for the good of all- to the best of our abilities.

If we recognize the light AND the dark in each one of us, we let go of the enemies and eventually come together as ONE.

Lunar Eclipse Full Moon Grand Cross

This eclipse will bring world events along with it.  Since this Grand Cross is mainly filled with Cardinal sign planets, we can expect the crucial parts of life to be affected.   We are being brought into the beginnings of New Seasons of our lives.  In the greater culture watch for shifts in the economy, the Middle East, North Korea, and Natural Disasters.  Watch for rebellions and revolutions, for liberation from oppression.

Energies will intensify leading up  to the eclipses, then energies will be released afterward. Sometimes events occur during the time of increasing intensity before the astrological events, and sometimes they occur after the aspects as energies release. And in this case there will be another eclipse two weeks later on July 11, a Solar Eclipse New Moon. That second eclipse will release more energies and propel us forward into new zones.  Events affiliated with these eclipses can occur through the autumn season.

In personal lives, keep your concentration on staying on your Path.    Keep centered and eat and be healthy.   Look for the synchronicities and signs, remember all is connected and meaningful.   Do not be seduced by emotions of panic or despair or uncontrolled fear.  All will happen much more gracefully if you do not go down into those emotional and spiritual pits for very long.

Changes are natural like the changing of seasons here on our beautiful Earth.  See your life as sacred and know the changes are ultimately for the best for your soul’s growth on its evolutionary path.

See you next week

Straddling the Worlds and Astrology Forecast for May 9-May 15

Posted in Weekly WorldView and Astrology forecast with tags , , , , , , , on May 8, 2010 by spiritualtherapy

by Leo Knighton Tallarico

Spring 2010 is bringing in many big changes, as we expected and predicted.   The Iceland volcano eruption is still spewing enough ash to shut down airports in Spain and Portugal this weekend.    Of course when it first erupted in mid April many more countries had interrrupted flights from the eruption.   Not long afterward an oil spill in the gulf near New Orleans has caused massive damage to wildlife and the ocean and severely disrupted fishing and other business.   And this week the stock market severely plunged lower and gives warning that the much ballyhooed economic recovery is an illusion.

The changes have only just begun this spring.  Many more are on the way, and these changes will continue through the summer also.  The Lunar Eclipse Grand Cross on June 26 promises shifting tides of change, and leads into a Solar Eclipse on July 11 that will bring more transformation to our human condition and world.

In the big picture we are between worlds, between ages.   Many look at this through the lens of astrology, as we know we are changing from a Pisces Age to an Aquarian Age. Others recognize the Mayan prophecies, of worlds changing in 2012.  Still others have studied Hopi prophecies or Biblical prophecies, which also speak to vast Earth and human changes now.

Do you not find it interesting that so many different cultures and viewpoints all point to the same direction?  And now  this transformational change is intensifying.    What can we do to facilitate this change?

Many have been trying to straddle two worlds, keeping safe within the structure and paradigm of an old world; and progressively moving forward into a new world.   But the pull from both directions is geting stronger and stronger.

An old world fights desperately to perpetuate its existence, to survive as its structures are threatened.  Its sense of well-being, as can be partly seen through its economy or its predictable weather conditions, is being eroded.

A new world has new ideas for survival and community.  This new world brings with it desires to open up connections to heart and soul, to one another and the Universe. It seeks to break away from old conditioning and from old  rules and paradigms, and to open the mind to new ways of being and living.

It is getting more and more difficult to straddle two worlds, to sit on the fence between them.   Challenges that come our way are meant to help us to let go of old beliefs and patterns that keep us attached to the old world.    Fear can be such an enormous demon, blocking our passage forward.  It tells us not speak up against people who are abusive to us.   It makes us wary of change and has us holding onto people, jobs, and other situations that are bad for us, and impede our natural evolution.

It is essential now to be flexible and open to change.   I know how hard it is to let go of what has given one a sense of security. ” Tried and true” ways may no longer work anymore.  Traditional ways may be felt more and more to be stale and lifeless.    The old rules for living are leaving us, and the speed of change into new ways is accelerating.

Hard line conservative people will continue to speak louder and louder as they see their old world going away.  They will be desperate to hold onto what has been familiar to them and in some cases what has givin them privilege.  Many are now speaking through Sarah Palin.  Others will want to repress our freedoms in the name of security.

These hardliners will become dinosaurs soon.  There is a new wolrd being born that they cannot survive within.

The New World brings more accepted diversity in ONENESS to our human condition.  For instance our gay brothers and sisters are will more and more be leaving the shadows of our culture, especially the dark corners of our antiquated religions.  They become one of the many colors of our world’s cultural rainbow, out in the open for all to see.

Hatred, demonizing and war cries against other countries and peoples will end also as we enter an Aquarian Age of equality and sharing.

Do not fear the voices of the old world that seek to keep same-old alive.  Open your heart and mind to new voices, new frequencies.

The world changes and personal changes this spring and summer challenge us to stay on our soul path forward to more authentic lives in alignment to nature and the Universe.  Sometimes we may feel fear and our egos trying to take over and wanting to be in control.   But if we keep listening to deeper soul’s wisdom and the helpers and friends we meet on our path, we will be fine.

We will make choices that keep us connected, and keep us on the path to an Aquarian Age consciousness and life.

Week of May 9- May 15

Early this week we clean up old business and finish reviewing and reflecting about our lives.  We are in the last quarter of the lunar cycle until late Thursday night May 13 at the New Moon in Taurus.  And we finish up Mercury Retrograde on Tuesday night May 11, as Mercury goes back direct again.

So expect shifting energies this week.   There will be a feeling of issues clearing up and direction getting more clear.

Mercury has been retrograde since April 18.  Many people have their minds change during that time.  They thought they were going in a certain direction, and then events or inner reflection pushed them to think differently.  And some made big changes or big decisions as a result.  Others have tried to wait before jumping to conclusion.

Now soon the air clears and we know what to do, and are more clear about where we are headed. Mercury goes direct on Tuesday May 11 at 6:27 PM EDT.

And soon thereafter there is more energy to actually move forward as there is a New Moon in Taurus on Thursday May 13 at 9:04 PM EDT.  Issues concerning comfort and security, money and home come to the forefront.  This is a good month ahead to enjoy nature, stay grounded in your body, and to get more practical with your life.

See you next week,
