Goodbye 2012 and Astrology Forecast December 29- January 5

Next week we will look at 2013.  This week we say goodbye to 2012.

I am sure for some 2012 did not live up to their expectations.   Especially because of the end of the Mayan Calendar and so much hype and misinformation about that event, many people either expected apocalyptic events- or events that would sweep us into a new dimension of consciousness or a golden age.

The process of transformation is slower than that.   It is true that an old age is dying and horrible events, like what happened in Newtown Connecticut, are part of that process. And yes we are changing our consciousness to align ourselves with an Aquarian Age.

Those who believed an apocalypse was coming were in touch with the inevitable destruction of an old world, its beliefs, institutions and paradigm.  Those who believed a much better world would arrive at the end of 2012 were in touch with the fact that we are leaving an old Pisces Age and in transition to a an Aquarian Age. But we are not there yet.

We need to be more patient as there is much more healing and transformation for our world and for our personal lives on the way.

And yes the speed and intensity of change began to pick up in 2012.  And 2013 will bring a huge spike of change again, even bigger than in 2012.

The old paradigm is barely working anymore.The conditioning and programming we have received to keep us entrenched in the old ways has been breaking down, and people are more and more looking outside their old boxes of consciousness and perception in order to find new and better ways to be and live.

But the Universe is not going to drop a New Age into our laps.  Each of us needs to make the consciousness shifts, change our belief systems, and transform the way we lead our lives.    No matter what planetary alignments come our way, we each need make choices at our personal crossroads, choices that show we trust our authentic natures and trust the Universe.

If at a deep level we cannot shake the fears and negativities that the old world teaches us are true, then no matter what grand openings the Universe provides us with, we will stay stuck.

After John Kennedy was assassinated, we were at a crossroads as a nation.  We could have seen only the pit of darkness, and begin to decay as a nation.  Civil Rights for blacks had been picking up steam during Kennedy’s time as president as Martin Luther King was becoming a beacon of light.

After JFK’s death the ’60s revolution brought us to fight more fiercely for Civil Rights for blacks and women.  We began to challenge the paranoia around communism, and fought to end the Viet Nam war as a result.   We used the transformational crossroads at Kennedy’s death to bring us into a New World, one run more by love and truth and fairness.

After the tragedy of 9-11, we were at another transformational crossroads. But this time we did not choose a high road to travel on. Instead we began to be at war with Muslim peoples, invading Afghanistan, and a few years later Iraq, a country which had nothing to do with 9-11.  We began to take human rights away with Homeland Security and began torture chambers at Guantanamo.   We let fear force us into making protecting security more important than higher Universal principles.

So you can see that countries and people both make decisions and those decisions show the way to what we create.

So in your personal life, the same applies. If you face a difficult event like a divorce or loss of job for instance, it is up to you what attitude you will develop. Of course at first one may get very negative and hopeless. But hopefully, in time one looks to see why the event happened, put meaning to it, and eventually know that it is part of your sacred soul journey.

So do not look for the Universe to provide you with a better world. It is up to you and it is up to us, to use the changes to help us to better align with the frequencies of the Aquarian Age.

Some will devolve and decay, while others will hear the trumpet call of the Aquarian Age and evolve into its golden rays.

Each time there is an Eclipse Season (next one spring of 2013) or an important planetary alignment (Uranus square Pluto 2012-2015), we get our lives and/or consciousness shook up.  What comes to us is not under our control. But how we react, we do have some control over.  We have the ability to choose love and truth and the higher principles of the Aquarian Age, or we can choose to become cynical and fearful.  Our beliefs then produce the reality of our lives.

We are creating our karma, and our world and the world we live in, and the people around us will be affected by our choices.

So yes the end of the Mayan Calendar brought us to another crossroads, as we each chose the direction to move toward. Do you believe we are moving toward greater evolution, toward an Aquarian Age? Do you believe we can become a unified human family, living in Diversity in Unity? Do you believe we are in a major transformation that will help us release old destructive ways and help us to heal our relationship with the Earth and each other?

Do you believe our Universe is a meaningful one, a place of wholeness and connection of all the opposites, like light and dark and male and female, and yin and yang?

If so, then each time there is shakeup of our world and your personal world, use it to release your fears and turn more toward the light of an Aquarian Age.

There is no grand moment when everything ends or when something wonderful has totally begun. Stay present in the process, and move through this transition with as much grace as you can.

This week ahead brings us to the end of Gregorian Calendar 2012. And no one has predicted that calendar’s ending.  2012 brought us a big wave of transformation.

New Year’s Eve, if you are out and about, could be more lively and  maybe even more crazy than usual, with the Moon in Leo and Mars in Aquarius sextile Uranus.

The rest of the week should be energetically tame, with the dark cloud of Saturn/Pluto overhead. That aspect promises to speed up the downfall of institutions that are in decay.

Whichever way the Fiscal Cliff challenge turns, remember we are still looking at a shaky economy and a dysfunctional government. It is all part of the process of ending an old paradigm and age and opening the portals to an Aquarian Age.

Mercury Direct and Astrology Forecast August 5-12

This week Mercury goes back direct, and it does seem like an awfully long time that it has been retrograde.  It will have been retrograde almost 25 days when it finally goes back direct overnight August 7/8 this week Tuesday/Wednesday.  Each time Mercury is retrograde it can spend from 20-25 days there. It enters a new retrograde period approximately every 16 weeks.

So this Mercury Retrograde period was a relatively long stretch.  After August 8 the “airwaves” will be getting more clear,  therefore direction and mental clarity will be lifted from the fog.  Slowly over the next few days after Mercury goes back direct you will “see” and perceive more clearly, human communication and electronic communication will get better. If you feel you have been in a Twilight Zone of changing perspectives and perceptions, after Mercury goes back direct issues will be more clear and you will begin to know what actions to take and what direction to move into.

This was an especially important Mercury Retrograde period as it followed some powerfully transformational aspects this spring and early summer, most notably the eclipses, Venus Retrograde, Venus Passage, and Uranus square Pluto.

After the shakeups of that period, Mercury Retrograde followed to give us pause to reflect on what we really want to do with our lives, and for many especially relationships.

Now following Mercury Retrograde we will see more clearly in anticipation of more change coming this late summer and autumn.

Uranus and Pluto will make their second pass of squaring each other in mid September, then in November we have two more eclipses that will proceed the December 2012 Mayan Calendar ending.   Uranus and Pluto when conjunct each other in 1965-66 brought on the ’60s/’70s revolution.  Now as they make square from 2012-2015 the next huge wave of revolution and evolution explode into our consciousness and world.

Just before this next eclipse period in November,  the next Mercury Retrograde period will begin on November 6, which is ELECTION DAY here in America to decide who will be President of the United States for the next four years.

Obviously Mercury does not often change direction right on a Presidential Election Day, but interestingly the last time it did was in November 2000, the night Al Gore and George Bush ran against each other. That night Mercury was changing from Retrograde to Direct. This year it will be changing from Direct to Retrograde that day.

When Mercury is changing directions is when one’s mind is shifting from one way to another.  On Election Night in 2000, the TV news anchors went back and forth from predicting Gore, then Bush, then Gore,etc.  Weeks later the issue was settled and Bush became president.

And now Mercury will be changing directions again on Presidential Election Day, November 6 2012, when apparently it will be Obama versus Romney. That election will be a real turning point time period, especially so as Uranus square Pluto has just begun to transform our world, the eclipses will closely follow the election, and the Mayan Calendar will end soon after.

Will it be a close election again? Will it be confusing again, like in 2000, about who wins? Will many people not know who to vote for or even if they will vote at all on Election Day?

I have begun to study the charts of Romney and Obama and so far see that each of them carry the criteria I use to predict who will win. I need to go deeper and will choose over the next few weeks. One of the main criteria I use is which candidate has natal planets connected to the coming important planetary aspects that form during the 4 years he or she is president.  And how do these natal placements connect with the USA natal chart of July 4 1776?

I made accurate prediction of McCain and Obama to be nominees long before they were doing well in polls last election, and predicted Obama would win the election using these criteria. This time both men have important connections to future aspects and USA placements.  I will further analyze in coming weeks in my future forecasts.

November 13, 2012 will be the first of two eclipses. This one will be a Solar Eclipse New Moon at almost 22 degrees of Scorpio.  Syria, which is in a fierce civil war now, was born into its current Assad era on November 13, 1970. That was the birth of the current Syria, which is now breaking apart. That eclipse this November will be extremely important in what will happen to that country.

That eclipse also makes important aspect to the Israel and Iran natal charts.  There is an extremely good chance something major will happen with these countries surrounding this date. We will examine more closely as we get closer to that date.  A second eclipse will occur on November 28, a Lunar Eclipse Full Moon in Sagittarius/Gemini.

But this week ahead is relatively tame compared to the events later this year.  We will feel the cool fresh breezes of Mercury going back direct again overnight Tuesday into Wednesday.  Clarity and direction will begin to form. We will be in the waning half of the lunar cyle, moving yin-ward before the next New Moon, which is not until August 17, which will be in Leo.

So enjoy the “down time” now and Mercury going back direct.

This is an exciting time to be alive,as we are entering a new consciousness and Age.  There was accelerated blast of transformational energy into that new age back in the ’60s and ’70s.   And now we have entered another such blast forward, which may turn out to be even more powerful than the ’60s.  The way we see ourselves and our world is changing. The way we see relationship and family is changing.  We are understanding on a deeper level that there are many ways to be and many ways to live one’s life.

The boundaries of judgments we have been taught by our society and many families toward people who are “different” are dissolving.  We are all one human family in many shades and textures, many different ways of living.

We have also been taught that soul and spirit are Sunday or Friday or Saturday times of worship or about being moral. The old paradigm sees us as mainly seeking material goals, and spirit can give comfort on that journey.

We are learning in a New Age that we are spiritual beings who need our material bodies and material world to serve spirit.  We are guided by the Universe and our deeper soul wisdom to find purpose and direction.  We need our physical world, money, and resources in order to fulfill our Soul’s purposes.

This attitude and belief will better serve us to build a world of unity, to heal our souls and bodies and Earth.   We know we are here on Earth for a reason, not just to go to jobs for money alone or to raise families merely to continue  family traditions.

We learn we are on sacred soul journeys, and that everything is meaningful, with passages and chapters and seasons of life.  Our souls enter bodies at birth and are on journeys to learn and experience, to heal past karma, to eventually return to the consciousness of Love and Truth in Marriage, yin and yang as one, light and dark in unity.

The coming challenges are meant to help us release the old wounds and toxins, the patterns that keep us separate from our authentic selves,  one another, the diverse human community, our sacred Earth and Universe.

Entering a New Life Chapter and Astrology Forecast June 17-23.

This is a very important “turning point” week ahead.   It is time for a New Chapter of our life stories to soon begin.

A powerful spring 2012 Eclipse Season with a Venus Passage is passing.  The first eclipse was a New Moon Solar Eclipse on May 20.  That began a lunar cycle, which included a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse on June 4 and a Venus passage on June5/6, that ends on June 19 this week at 11:02 AM EDT with a New Moon in Gemini.

That Eclipse Season shook up our collective consciousness and lives, took us out of our usual balance,  and left us in a new zone, one for many not totally  defined yet.

But this coming week, we will know more, and ready or not begin the voyage forward into that new life chapter.

The New Moon in Gemini on June 19 is a stronger New Moon than the usual new moon because on that same day Mars comes full circle from its recent retrograde period.  That is because on June 19 it finally goes back to the spot it began retrograde on January 24, 2012,at 23+ degrees of Virgo. Mars, the planet of action, force, and movement forward completes the cycle and has us all ready to begin anew.

Closely following the New Moon and Mars completion is the annual seasonal change of Summer Solstice on June 20 at 7:09 PM EDT.

On June 24 is the first of seven passes of revolutionary and evolutionary Uranus square Pluto.

On June 25 is the hand of time Saturn going back Direct again, setting our stop watches to begin again.

And on June 27 Venus goes back Direct also, being retrograde since May 15. Relationships issues are ready to move forward again.

So the Eclipses and Venus Passage shook us up out of our old habits and status quo positions;  this next 10 days or so we make transition toward the New Chapter in our life.  Afterwards:  All Systems are Go.

In the greater world we can see this shift as we look at the Greek election this weekend; the Egyptian Elections this weekend; the likely last step in the Iranian talks on June 19/20; and a Syrian crisis coming to a head.

The Greek elections will show us much about where the global economy is going, as Greek citizens’ votes will decide if the recent European bailouts will hold or not.  Greece, of course is historically a very important country in western civilization roots. The European and Global Economies will be greatly affected.

The Egyptian elections will show us much about what really broke open with the Arab Spring in 2011 and how much influence Islamists will have in the Egyptian Government. The future of Israel hangs in the balance.

In Moscow will be the talks between Iran and World Powers trying to convince Iran to give up its Nuclear programs. If there is not much progress this time, war drums will certainly get very loud.

So the future direction of our World System is very much at a stake during this coming period.  A New World Chapter is about to ensue.   More clarity about the potential forms of world transformation into an Aquarian Age will show itself.  How graceful and how painful the transition is in the balance.

Watch the news very closely during the next 10 days for other stories that will show us important movements in our human story on Earth as we move into an Aquarian Age.  In coming weeks we will also look at the coming Presidential Election and the charts of the Presidential candidates.

And in your own life, what new chapter are you moving into?  What have you been letting go?  What chapter is now ending?  Have there been recent deaths or departures of loved ones or pets?  What period of your life did they represent?

What has been changing in your relationships recently?  Are you ready to move out of old ways and patterns that are not right for you anymore? Will the relationship end or is it instead ready to transform? Is your relationship ready to move forward.  Are you moving in together or getting married soon?

Are you ready for new education or schooling?   Is your career and job life ready for a new chapter? Are you spiritually ready to progress to a new level?  In some way each of us is now ready or getting ready to move forward into a New Chapter of our lives, and so is the World and Universe.

This coming chapter will be a most important and profound chapter, as soon our collective world will go through much change and transformation, much more than most are imagining.  2012 will be a very crucial year for beginning vast changes in our world and all our lives.

But it is only the beginning, not the end. The next several years, especially so with the Uranus square Pluto aspect of 2012-2015, will show us deep transformation of our world.  Remember that the conjunction of Uranus and Pluto in 1965-66 brought great revolutionary energies of the ’60s.

And in 2014 Uranus and Pluto square each other while in close aspect to the USA natal Sun at 13+ degrees of Cancer. The time leading up to this aspect and afterwards promise deep and vast change for us in the USA. Our very way of life and our place in the Global Community will be greatly transformed.  This is a hugely important aspect for America, and as it impacts our Sun it promises to change our collective sense of identity and purpose.

We so need now to return to our founding principles of liberty, justice, fairness and equality, and self determination for all peoples. We will need to release our identity as Superpower and being better than other countries and peoples.

The Aquarian Age demands “all are created equal” with certain inalienable rights like “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness”. This precludes our desires to take over other countries and mold them into being how we want them to be, to serve our interests.

The balance of world power will change and soon.

In your own life, let go of that which keeps you programmed by society or family into being what you should be instead of actualizing your Authentic Soul Self, aligned with the Universe and its movement into an Aquarian Age.

The Universe will support these efforts, as long as they are accomplished in balance with your practical life demands. If you feel you are clear with a new purpose in your life, remember that the movement forward is a process of letting go of the past and moving forward to your new life.  It does not happen all at once.

Always look for the signs and synchronicities and wait for the Universe to give you “Go” signals. It is not just about your personal will. You are in relationship with the Universe and need to know your steps are aligned.

This is an important transition time for all of us.  Stay grounded and connected these next several days and be ready to move forward.

2012 and Astrology Forecast for January 1- January 7

2012:   I remember back in August 1987 when I was first made aware of the Mayan Calendar and Jose Arguelles and the end date of 2012. It was the time of the Harmonic Convergence.  I was living in the San Francisco area, practicing as a professional astrologer and counselor, and often reflecting on the coming Aquarian Age.

So of course I made the correllation between the Mayan calendar and its ending of an old world in December 2012, and the transition between a Pisces Age and an Aquarian Age.

I was also aware at the time of Biblical predictions from Revelations of the end of the world and the Christ and the anti-Christ.

And 10 years later, while living in Santa Fe, New Mexico, I was educated in Hopi prophecy, which predicted a fast approaching end of an old age and the beginning of a New Age of respect for the Earth and unity between peoples of different races and ethnicities.  But this unity would come only after many natural disasters and world war.

It was apparent and still is, that there must be something really big happening in our world at this time, as so many different sources and cultures all believed we were entering a powerful and profound time on the Earth, when the world as we knew it was going to transform into a whole new world and age.

So ever since those New Age awakening years of mine, I have concentrated much of my work to this transition time here on the Earth, this time of changing our consciousness and lives in attunement with the approaching Aquarian Age.

And over the last few years, more and more people are becoming aware that the old paradigm for living on the Earth, one which believes in a survival of the fittest, dog eat dog mentality, is destroying our human family and our Earth and its creatures.  Many have been changing their consciousness and lives in alignment with the Universe, as it opens up the gates to a New World and Age.  They are finding the connections, not the separations anymore. They know their soul, mind, heart and body are all working together. They know all of humanity is of One Family. They know our Earth is our sacred home, and needs to be loved and cared for as all homes need to be.

Those on the path into a New World consciousness also know that those who hold power in the old world will not let go without help from the changes that come from nature and the Universe.   These great changes shake up our old reality, help us release the fears and toxins, and open us up to healthier ways of being and living.

Many have us were severely challenged in 2011, especially around the Eclipse seasons in June/July and November/December.  Many of our worst fears and old patterns came up to haunt us.    We needed to recommit to our journey into a New World consciousness of meaning, wholeness, connectedness, and love.   We have needed to more fully know that we are going through our challenges in order to be cleansed of old toxic programming, so we may more fully embrace that we are each on a sacred soul journey that is helping us to evolve our consciousness in alignment with the Aquarian Age we moving into.

Many of us have struggled in 2011 to let go of fear and doom thinking, let go of our old tapes inside our heads that wants us to believe we live in a world that does not support us and is not safe or loving.   We are letting go of the notion that life is not a good place to be, that it will always give us suffering and pain.

Some have endured bodily challenges that have frightened them.     Keep in mind that our bodies are also being shifted in order to be better prepared for the shift of ages.   We are being taken out of old habits that keep our bodies toxic and heavy.  The challenges in our bodies are meant to help us change our ways to more healthy ones and to change the vibrations in our souls and bodies. It is best not to go into fear and doom thinking that mainstream medicine encourages.  Some bodily disturbances now will stay only temporarily, so do not hang onto them with your fear.

Expect 2012 to bring more challenges and changes, as we move more fully forward into an Aquarian Age.  There will many surprises that shake up the status quo of the greater world in 2012.    War with Iran will create a Middle East war that will threaten world war. The economy in Europe will further deflate, which will affect all of the world, especially western civilization.   Climate Change will continue to bring weird weather patterns and natural disasters.    And it is quite possible that extraterrestrial life will make stronger appearances that cannot be denied.

Many believe that alien life is wanting to help us to awaken to the crisis that our human family and Earth are going though, so we can be more proactive in creating a healthier world aligned with the energies of the Age of Aquarius.

2012 will be a ferocious year of change, and astrologically speaking the signpost for this transformational change will be Uranus square Pluto, which makes its first pass in June 2012, during an eclipse season. Expect spring and summer 2012 to shift us all in big ways.  When Uranus and Pluto made their last major connection in 1965-66, it brought in the ’60s revolution.

It is best now to get into healthy habits that will support your commitment to keep a meaningful and wholistic consciousness. Meditation, healthy eating, communing with like minded people, going to healers and counselors, etc will give you a strong foundation that will weather the coming storms.

This is real! Our world as we know it is ending.  A New World is being born. The Arab Spring and Occupy Wall Street are the beginning shoots of growth into liberation from the old world and its controls over our hearts and souls.   Be a part of the new and you will find your authentic self and a renewed sense of purpose.   The old messages that there is something wrong with you will be more fully released.  You were made just right and all you need to do is let your self blossom into Self actualization.

The week ahead, January 1 2012 to January 7 2012, is a waxing moon phase moving toward a Full Moon on January 9.

We have passed the darkest day of the year at the Winter Solstice, and moved past the Capricorn New Moon last week. And though we are now moving toward more light every day, there still is a lot of darkness. So do not beat your self up if you are sometimes feeling down now.

With the Sun still in Capricorn, it is a good time not so much to act, but to make long term plans.    And then after making those plans, one can begin to implement the plan through discipline and organization.     Through making these commitments, which can be aligned with New Year’s resolutions, one can better handle the nagging feeling that one is not doing what needs to be done. Capricorn time of year is a good time to put one’s life in order.

Unity Consciousness and Astrology Forecast for July 25-31

There has been a slight break from the great intensity of the recent eclipses, most especially the powerful Lunar Eclipse Grand Cross on June 26.  That eclipse Grand Cross on June 26 included planets mostly in the early degrees of cardinal signs Aries, Cancer, and Capricorn.   The intensity was strong up to that eclipse and continued until the Solar Eclipse on July 11.  Much energy was released then. Now intensity is building again and world and personal events will increase in activity.    

 Things are heating up again, as there is a formation of a t-square of cardinal planets, again in the early degrees of cardinal signs.  It is bringing the shifting tides in again. 

This coming week, Jupiter squares Pluto and Saturn opposes Uranus , all within the early degrees of Aries, Libra, and Capricorn.  August should be a challenging month ahead, especially so in world events.

Bigger Picture

What is going on in the bigger picture is that we are leaving an old and tired age and its paradigm and entering a New Age and paradigm.   Achieving more unity consciousness is so important to this process of changing ages. 

And that is so difficult to do sometmes as we experience such horrible world events like 2 wars in Afghanistan, more wars brewing in Korea and in the Middle East with Iran, a horrible oil spill in the gulf region of the USA and another one that erupted in China last week.   These spills are sending us all a very important message to change our ways, as natural life is being destroyed and our balance of nature is so severely upset. We also have a weak economy, and it is not to get strong until it transforms into a new and more equitable system.

We see a two party political system where the two parties are constantly at war with one another, bought out by special interests and mega corporations and not working for the common good anymore.

Many people have been feeling more helpless to do anything about these problems, and instead often feel hopeless and disillusioned and cynical about the hopes for the future of the world.

To cope people more and more are turning to addictions, to popping pills to escape depression and anxiety, drinking more, getting lost on the internet or working and rushing around all the time.

What then suffers is our connection to our inner world, our soul and spiritual connections.

Some are afraid that we face a doomsday scenario in 2012.

There is no end soon of the world difficulties coming our way, and as a result we will be severely challenged to be in Unity Consciousness, a prerequisite for healthy living in an Aquarian Age.    We will continue to see difficult world events and they are likely to get more challenging over the next few years.

We are in transition between worlds and Ages. Mayan prophecy points to 2011-2012 as turning points from one world consciousness to another- from a world of separation to a world of unity.   Astrology cycles tell us we are leaving a Pisces Age, begun over 2000 years ago, and we are now on the cusp of an Aquarian Age, an age of equality, liberation, and most importantly Diversity in Unity.

Ther is an old “dog-eat-dog”  world of “Being better than or having more than” that needs to die.  In that world paradigm we have been taught that we cannot trust one another, cannot trust ourselves, cannot trust the Universe/God/Goddess.  We have been taught to put our attention and energy into our own survival or the survival of our family or to the loyalty of a flag or our religion against the interests of others from differnt families, or nations, or religions or races. These teachings are all counter to true Unity consciousness.

Let’s look back to the beginnings of the Pisces Age over 2000 years ago.  Christ was born and Rome was our first Empire. Buddha was born on the cusp of that age, just a few hundred years before Christ, and Mohammed was born on the later part of the cusp, just a few hundred years after Christ.

These three spiritual masters were the soul of the three most powerful religions over the 2000 years of the Pisces Age.  These, in the beginning, spiritually based religions were a powerful balance for the materialism of the empires of the world.

But slowly over the years much of these religions that still speak the name of their prophets or masters have lost their soul, lost the true messages of love, peace, compassion and truth.  They have forgotten about turning the other cheek or loving thy enemies, or caring for the most vulnerable and lost members of the world.   Unbelievably many speak of doing battle against one another.

And as a result of this religious decay, society has as a result lost its soul, it true spirutality. And we have lost the spiritual strenght that balances the power of Caesar, of the empire of Might makes Right.

That empire and its society has been trying to convince us we live in a random world without real sacredness or meaning, a world where everything and everyone is separate, each of us on our own, fighting to survive ina meaningless world.

This belief then breeds fear and mistrust, in one another, of the world and the Universe. 

That world view must and will die,  as did the idea of a flat world.

An Aquarian Age is being born in its ashes.

But we must take with us into this Aquarian Age, the best and the essence of the Pisces Age: the love and compassion that the spiritual masters brought with them.

The battle between society’s cynicism and religion’s sacrificing self denial will end, however.

There is no self denial or self sacrifice in Aquarius.  It is about the strength of the individual, the authentic, distinct individual, truating in their own natural inclinations, in unity and community with all others and with everything .

This new individual does not need masters or saviors or intermediaries to God.  This new individual knows his or her own connection to spirit, and from that connection takes responsibility, as a free world citizen for thier specific function and role in the community and Universe.

No more original sin and needing to be saved. No more devils and demons.  No more enemies to make war against.

We instead go to the kingdom within and find integration and wholeness there.  We go inside our souls to find balance and unity between our own light and dark, our own male and female, jsut like the Yin/Yang symbol.   WE are whole and unified- in Unity consciousness.  This is the foundation for making unity in the world, for making Diversity in Unity in the world of the Aquarian Age.

We must be ready now for the coming challenges that a transition between ages brings with it.  As Rome burns:

We do not need to cower in the dark, weakly holdiing hands with one another in fear.

Instead we hold hands in healthy community, each of us in our own strong, individualized, authentic beautiful selves as the Universe made us, connected together on our sacred meaningful souls journeys into a New Aquarian Age.

The coming challenges are meant to help us release our dysfunctional attachment to an old model of reality and its fears, and to transform our hearts, minds and lives to our own care, free and open, and to the care of one another- not under the control of society or nation.

We move into this Aquarian Age, with hope in our hearts, unified in our souls, knowing we are all one family, on the Earth, unified together with all in this wondrous Universe.

Mars Going Direct, and Astrology Forecast for March 7-13

If your life has been lacking movement,  and you don’t know what to do, you are not alone.    Big changes are coming this spring and summer,  but for many right now life seems stalled.  It is a calm before the storms.

 So making plans and knowing what to do next may be challenging.  Remember it is Pisces time of year, the last month of winter before new beginnings in spring. Energetically, spring equinox is arguably equivalent to a true New Year.   And to add to the feeling of life being stale or stalled right now, remember that Mars is still retrograde, though turning direct this week. More on that later in this blog.

And life in the bigger picture may look foggy now.   What direction is the economy really going in?

“Experts” are saying we have turned a corner and things are beginning to get better.  Is that what you are feeling in your life? I believe, knowing the astrological aspects and how they impact the USA chart, that deeper transformation of the economic system will be needed before things truly get much better.

 And the big picture also tells us even bigger change is coming.   We are changing Ages.  2012 is so close now.  And astrological aspects for 2010 portend strong shifting tides of change for all of us.

Already many have been thrown off balance by a weird winter.  Is it climate change, global warming, or just a plain old weird winter that happens sometimes?  And what about these huge and destructive earthquakes so close together, most especially the ones in Haiti and Chile.  Is this shaking a metaphor for the foundations of our old world crumbling?

 So many of the American people are not trusting our government, big corporations, or either politcal party anymore.   Are we therefore moving more strongly back to our roots as a nation, which is about power to the people, not special interests? Or are we instead in some serious decay as a nation? 

And look at how countries like China, India, Brazil, and Iran are becoming more powerful countries.  The USA and Europe will soon no longer dominate the world. 

 The amount of resistance the USA and Eurpope have to this sweeping world change will determine how large the battles between nations will become.  More resistance to the burgeoning multi polar world equals more trouble for the world.

And technologically we keep growing by such leaps and bounds, for better and for worse.    I have been using Skype lately to talk to people who appear on my computer screen as we are talking to one another.     Technology, in this case, is bringing us closer to one another.  Who would have guessed, 20 years ago, that we would be having these “in person” conversations on our computers.    And the wonder I felt while watching Avatar in IMAX 3-D gave me an amazing experience.   And of course “googling” for all sorts of information is such an improvement over having to use so many reference books at the library to get that same information.

But technology has also gotten us, in many ways, so detached from our emotions and each other- at deeper and more intimate levels.  We text or email instead of talking or being in person.     Are we leaving behind our feelings as we enter our a New Age?

The biggest picture tells us our world is changing so fast and we sometimes do not know what to do or where to go.  Where will the good jobs be 20 years from now?  This confusion can make it hard to know what to take in college or what jobs to apply for or career to choose.

These changing times feel similar, in some ways, to how it felt in the late ’60s and ’70s.     The world was then changing so unbelievably fast.  The sexual revolution and the mind expanding drugs were taking us rapidly off our normal balance and paradigm for living. The Viet Nam war and the draft were making it difficult to know what directions to take in life.   People were going to college or going to Canada just to avoid that unjust war.  Others had to give up their careers or loved ones to have to go to war, against their will. 

 Old gender roles were being transformed, civil rights for black people were shaking up the status quo.

And overall there was a growing mistrust of ”the system” we were living in here in America.   We were tired of the corruption, the materialism, the lies and deception by the people in power, the killing of innocent people in war, the injustices, the lack of love and caring in the prevailing world order.  

And now  those same problems are staring us in the face again.  But now so many have become much more cynical, with less hope for true and deep change.

But CHANGE WILL COME. 

And in the smaller picture of our coming week ahead, March 7- March 13:

It is Pisces tme of year until the spring equinox on March 20, when the Sun goes into Aries.   Pisces brings the washing away of the ghosts of the past year, a cleansing and healing.  One needs at this time of year to let go of ego controls and instead to yield to a power greater than ego, the power of the Universe.  This letting go in itself is healing, as stress is alleviated through surrender.  One can then go with the Pisces flow, Pisces being the flow of the ocean of water and the ocean of space, where one floats beyond the pull of gravity.  Use this Pisces time of year to get ready for the thrust forward in spring by releasing that which is ready to die in your life.

But before spring equinox we experience new beginnings through Mars going direct after having been retrograde since mid December 2009.   It has been difficult for many during this Mars retrograde period, to  know what one truly wants and where one is going in one’s life.  Mars goes direct this Wednesday March 10.

Do not expect that miraculously you will all of a sudden know exactly what you want and where you want to go with your life.  Nevertheless, Mars Direct will signify a shift in consciousness and a feelinbg of movement forward.  You will feel the ignition of your life car being turned on.  Matters of desire and direction will begin to clear up.  You will feel like moving forward again.  But remember it is still winter and there is more inner reflection and healing to do. 

Then comes te Spring Equinox. And then comes a most active and eventful spring and early summer season!

Out with the Old and Corrupted, and Astrology Forecast for January 24-30

It is becoming abundantly clear that real and deep transformational change here in America will not happen without powerful and drastic measures and events.   I had hoped back in November 2008, when we elected Barack Obama, that the change from one age to another could happen with some grace.

I have known for quite awhile that America and the world would be going through huge waves of change.   The corruptions, dysfunctions, greed, power abuses, and Americans’ apathy would all need to be cleaned up and released in order for us to live in a healthier, more functional, caring, fair and just America and world. The changing of Ages into an Aquarian Age and through the Mayan 2012 demand this will happen.

And Barack Obama’s candidacy raised our hopes that he would lead us into reclaiming our country back to “we the people”.    He raised our hopes that we would get back our decency and higher principles, so that we would make real change and could have more hope for our future.

And though there has been some return of the light of hope since moving beyond the horrific and disillusioning years of George Bush, nevertheless in most ways “same-old, same old”  ways still prevail.

We are still in Iraq and sending more troops into Afghanistan.    We have created an economic stimulus plan that has not helped the people, but instead has helped big banks get more profits and give more millions to their executives.    The stock market has gone up, but no more jobs are being created nor has the ability to get loans gone up.  We may be on the verge of a new Health Reform plan for Americans, but that plan will keep the power of the insurance and pharmaceutical companies as powerful as ever.

And now this week, something almost unbelievable happened in the Supreme Court of the USA.  They are now allowing corporations to spend as much money as they want on  political elections. ” We the people” have our power even more diluted. The corporations and interest groups already buy out our representatives.  Now with this new ruling  their agendas and wealth will  have more and more influence over our country.

Though a repubican dominated Supreme Court cast this vote, it is not only republicans who are bought our by corporations and special interests.  Both democratic and republican representatives have been bought out by corporations.  The system is corrupt and interest groups and corporations, with their money and wealth, are controlling our country, both sides of the aisle.  They are both part of the Military/Industrial complex that President Eisenhower, a republican, warned us about just before leaving office.    He said that that complex would eventually take away our people power and republic if our awareness went to sleep.  It is encouraging that President Obama has spoken out against the Supreme Cout vote, which is against our democracy.

 Is it too late to do something to change the direction our country is moving in?  Well, it IS too late to rely on our two party system of  republicans and democrats to change it.  Have you noticed how many candidates are winning now, as did Senator Brown from Massachusetts, with a message of being outside the system.    But come on, few of these republicans or democrats are truly outside the control of the two party, corporate controlled political system.  

Big transformational change of our system and its instituitons is coming over the next few years, and 2010 will speed up this process forward.  But how can each of us be proactive in this process?

Should we write to our congress people and demand change?  That likely will not do any good anymore.  The two party system no longer represents “we the people.”

The change is coming and likely events will shake up our world enough for us to begin to see new and inventive, outside the box, truly tranformational change.

We will also need to vote for other parties, like the Greens and Libertarians.  We will also likely get to the point, especially if things get more oppressive and controlled,where we need to use civil disobedience, as did Dr. King and Ghandi. 

The aspects over the next several years speak to the restructuring of our world.  Pluto is now in Capricorn, which suggests transformation of our systems, structures and institutions.  Pluto will stay in Capricorn for 13 more years.

And more immediately we experience Saturn square Pluto, which lasts from last autumn 2009 to Autumn of 2010.    In fact there is an exact Saturn square Pluto aspect on Sunday January 31.   During this year long period very powerful events which change our world and its structures.

The last major transit of Saturn/Pluto was in 2001/2002, when they were in opposition to one another.  In fact one of the passes happened in August 2001, just before the 9-11 tragedy.

Our world is in for major change over the next several years, through a big wave of change in 2010, through the Mayan 2012, through an entrance into the Aquarian Age, as I estimate December 2020, when Jupiter and Saturn conjunct at 1 degree of Aquarius.

On a personal level, use the Saturn square Pluto aspect this week to release old patterns and beliefs that no longer fit who you have been growing into.

If a current relationship or friendship keeps making you feel bad about your self, perhaps it is time for that relationship to change its pattern or for you to be out of the relationship.   

 Saturn/Pluto is about endings, goodbyes, moving on from old times of your life.   It is difficult to say goodbye sometimes if something or someone new has not appeared yet.  But sometimes we must focus on our goodbye, and perhaps the grief that comes with that ending.

This week also brings a Full Moon in Aquarius/Leo on January 29/30.  It happens on the 29th at 10:18 PM on the west coast USA, and on the 30th at 1:18 AM on the east coast.

Do you do what is best in a socially conscious way (Aquarius), or do you do what makes your heart sing or makes you happy (Leo)?  

This Full Moon is the first major lunation since the beginnings that happened at the Solar Eclipse New Moon on the 15th.  Look back on the eclipse and what was going on for you then, and see now where it has evolved to.

Waiting in Limbo, and Astrology World View- January 2-8, 2010

As we  walk through the first days of 2010, many people are feeling kind of lost, not knowing what direction to move in, not feeling very motivated.    What a way to begin the New Year 2010,  as most people like to make resolutions and vision their dreams for the year ahead at the New Year.   What is happening?

Mercury is retrograde, which often does feel disconcerting, confusing, and brings us back to old memories and old times.  But what is going on now is more than that. 

Well Mars is also retrograde, which happens once every two years.  Last time was in early 2007.     And yes when Mars goes retrograde we do feel like we are unsure of what we really want, and where we are going with our lives.  I have been through a fair number of Mars retrogrades in my life, however, and the feeling of being  lost this Mars retrograde period is deeper and stronger.  

Many of my clients, family and friends are feeling this way.  It seems to many that their lives are not so secure, are up for grabs, changing, shifting to something new, something we do not understand yet.

Of course we also just passed through the first of two eclipses in a row on New Year’s Eve Day, a Lunar Eclipse Full Moon in Capricorn/Cancer.   That eclipse suggests shifting tides around security issues.  The second eclipse will be on January 15. It is a Solar Eclipse New Moon.

But in the Big Picture, beyond all these strong current aspects, is the fact that we are entering a very powerful year of change in 2010.     And we are less than 3 years away from the time the Mayan Calendar declares as the end of an old world and the beginning of a New World, December 21, 2012.  And in my estimation we are about 10 years away from a doorway into the Aquarian Age, when Jupiter and Saturn conjunct at 0+ degrees of Aquarius.

As we keep this bigger picture of entrance into a New Age in mind, we know that it means we will be experiencing much deep transformational change over the next several years.  Just as our housing market and economy have shifted over the last couple years, much more of what we have come to expect as normal will be shifting into new realities.   And these changes will be much greater than those over the last couple of years.

And so Mercury Retrograde, Mars Retrograde, and the Eclipses are more effective than usual because they are in the context of the acceleration we are experiencing moving into an Aquarian Age.

The feeling of being unclear about our lives and future is in large part because so much of life and our world will be changing.   This is known and felt at a deep level of our being.  So much of what we currently are used to in our lives may therefore seem stale or insecure, as we are getting ready to move into a big  new phase of our lives.    Are we in the right job?  In the right relationship?  In the correct home or living situation?  These are questions that make it difficult to know how to vision our year ahead or future, or to be motivated to act.

For some the New Moon Solar Eclipse in Capricorn on January 15 will tend to push them forward in their lives. For some this may happen as they choose a new project or venture for their lives.   For others some event will move into their lives that feels almost fated and will push them in certain directions.    

 These choices or events will not make everything crystal clear yet for most, however, because Mars will still be Retrograde.  Mercury, however, goes direct the same day as the Solar Eclipse New Moon on January 15; and in conjunction with the New Moon we are more directed.

America and our greater world will go through much change in 2010.   

 The Middle East will become more dangerous in 2010 and war is likely to erupt beyond what is happening in Iraq and Afghanistan.   The turmoil in the Middle East will shift the balance of power in the world.  We are moving toward more equality in the Aquarian Age, and Superpowers and Empires do not fit anymore.   America and the western world have been dominating the world paradigm of dog-eat-dog “survival of the fittest” mentality.    Much of the coming transformation is meant to put an end to this mentality, so we can save our world and the human family from horror and possible extinction.

We all will be helped, through coming personal and world events, to know all is connected as ONE.   Diversity and individuality will be respected in the New Age, but in unity; as in an orchestra, when all individual instruments play in concert with one another to play unified music.  

All races, genders, sexual orientations, religions, nations, and peoples are cells in the greater human body.    We are each a cell in the body of the greater Universe, meant to function in individual authenticity, yet all connected together in Universal community.

We are so far from knowing this reality, as we tend to demonize those who are different, make enemy of those we cannot  understand.

The coming shifts and changes will challenge us to let go of these old beliefs and attitudes and to learn to open our hearts and minds to a bigger picture of unity and connection.  Some, however, will choose more fear and separation, and will lose these approaching opportunities to expand consciousness and evolve.

As change moves into your life know it is all meaningful and part of your sacred soul life  journey.  Spring and summer of 2010 will be especially intense with change, as there is a cardinal Grand Cross Lunar Ecipse Full Moon in late June that is quite powerful.  This aspect will be the center of many very important astrological events in spring and summer of 2010.

Be clear.  These changes will challenge us to transform, to find greater meaning, to connect with our deeper souls, with each other, the Earth, and the Universe.  Our human family is in grave need for deep healing, so we can come together in unity to heal our Earth, which we have dominated and abused.     Perhaps brothers and sisters in the greater Universe will assist us or challenge us to grow.

The recent Norway UFO incident shows us we are getting closer to an event of monumental importance and revelation:  The mass appearance of beings from beyond.

For now, be as patient as you can.  It is OK now to be without clear direction.  Learn to just BE now.   Change is coming soon.

Astrology Forecast for November 29- December 5

Perspectives from the Sky report will be more brief than usual because of the holiday weekend.

As we have talked about before,  2010 will be a big year for change and transformation in the World and in our personal lives.   Jupiter, Saturn, and Uranus will be in transition between mutable signs (Virgo, Pisces) and cardinal signs (Libra, Aries).   Since Pluto already is in a cardinal sign (Capricorn), that means that 4 of the 5 outer planets will be in or moving into cardinal signs.

The outer planets Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto show us by their transits what change from a bigger picture is coming into our lives.    The cardinal signs Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn represent the beginnings of seasons: Aries-spring; Cancer-summer; Libra-Autumn; Capricorn-winter.  As such they represent new beginnings in our collective lives, and for many their personal lives also.

This transition between mutable and cardinal signs represents the kind of energetic change, except on a bigger scale, that happens on the cusp of new seasons.   Weather and energies fluctuate more than usual as we go through seasonal transition.

Symbolically this combination of mutable and cardinal signs is a good metaphor for the bigger shift that is occuring between an old Pisces Age and a new Aquarian Age.   Also 2010 is only 2 years away from the Mayan December 21, 2012 prediction of a New Age.  So we are on the cusp of Ages, of a New Season for the world.   

2010 will challenge us to let go and release old ways of thinking and living, and to let in and embrace new ways to live and think.   Events will occur in the greater world and in our personal lives to prod us into making the needed changes.   

 There is an especially important Lunar Eclipse Grand Cross in late June that reveals an important crossroads/turning point for us all from old world to new world.   Many other important aspects happen all through 2010.    As those events get closer we will write about them more.

An eclipse on New year’s Eve 2019/2010 will set a tone for the coming year.   Another eclipse on January 15 will shake up our world.

This week, November 29-December 5 will bring into our lives some lively aspects 

The Moon is in Taurus on Sunday the 29th and Monday the 30th.  Keeping a lid on feelings and emotions should be easy.    Movement should be slow and methodical, practical and grounded.

Uranus changes from retrograde to Direct on Tuesday the 1st of December.  Energies will be shifting from earthy body awareness to more electrical mental energies.    You could start feeling this shift as early as Sunday or Monday, which would disrupt the tranquility of Moon in Taurus.  Many, however, may not feel this shft until Tuesday when it does actually go direct.

As the Moon on Tuesday moves into Gemini, a mental air sign, it will combine with Uranus to give you a  boost for a couple days.  For some it may feel almost like caffeine.

It is time to let in new inspirations and information and ideas to help you to gain vision for your life, as the Full Moon in Sagittarius/Gemini blows in on Tuesday also.  The Full Moon is at 11:30 PM on Tuesday the 1st on the west coast USA, and is at 2:30 AM Wednesday the 2nd on the East Coast.

This is a very energized Full Moon, especailly good for talking or any kind of communication. If you have felt slow or depressed lately, this combination of a lively Gemini Full Moon and Uranus going Direct will awaken your mind and spirit.

The aura of these aspects could last until Thursday or Friday.  Nevertheless, the Moon will be in Cancer most of Thursday and Friday and part of Saturday, which should help many to find some comfort during the storm of mental activity.

In the greater world, this week of full Moon and Uranus direct will show a shifting of energies, a changing of direction.  There may be breakdowns of old stuck energies and breakthroughs into new territory.   Rebellious and revolutionary movements may pick up confidence now.

What does 2012 the Movie have to do with 2012? And Astrology Forecast for November 22-28

Saw the movie 2012, though I knew it would be a Hollywood ripoff of an important subject for these transformational times.    Did anyone who saw the movie really believe that we will face that level of catastrophe in 2012?

I mean the whole world and all humans were dying horribly tragic deaths.  The Earth’s core had over heated, the poles shifted, the Earth was cracking open everywhere, huge Tsunamis were drowning the world. Only those who were going on the Arks would be saved.

Nevertheless there was at least one thing about the movie that rang true:  The privileged and wealthy were the ones who would get to be saved on the Arks.   And some people were able to buy their way onto the Arks.

There was a hopeful moment for humanity when the privileged people on one of the Arks, before takeoff, decided to open the gates of the Ark and let the lowly common folk in.  It was like the people in the castle letting the rabble cross the bridge of the moat to get inside the castle.

How truly important December 21 2012 becomes remains to be seen.  The Mayans said an old world and reality would end then as a New World was being born.  That old Age began in 3113 BC when large human cities first opened up to civilization.  How much change is coming our way before 2012, when Mayan elders say we enter a  new age of global and Universal unity, when telepathy will be our new way of communication?

Whatever will truly happen is unknown now, but there is no doubt in my mind, however, that the next several years will bring huge and intense transformational waves of change to the world.

Those tsunami waves from the movie were actualy great metaphors for the change coming.  The waves of change will be huge.  The world as we know it will be very different over the next several years.  I personally guage the end of 2020 as the biggest ”landmark” of our voyage into a New World. I believe it is the symbolic gateway into an Aquarian Age. 

This does not mean earth shaking events will happen only then.  What it does mean is that much change will happen between now and then.    And how it looks then will be so much different than now.   

Between now and then there will be a great schism between old ways and new ways, like the Earth splitting.  People will no longer be able to straddle worlds.  Some will go down with the old world, others will have the courage to spread their wings and fly with new ways.

At the deepest of levels we are deciding whether we believe all is connected or not.  Are we each a distinct individual, yet part of a greater whole, working together to contribute to the greater community? Or are we each alone, separate from one another, lacking trust in the Universe, ourselves and each other?

Our greater culture now teaches us we are mainly separate.  Even our religions often pit us against other religions, telling us our faith is better.   They also teach us to not trust ourselves by selling us on our original sin.  

Our nations don’t trust other nations and their peoples, even though we all inhabit this Earth together. 

We are one family, whether we admit it or not.   Of course now we are a hugely dysfunctional family.

So the schism between the old world and new will break open over the next several years.    Wars will occur, economies will continue to suffer.  Before long enough people will join those already there who know we are all one, connected in heart, mind and soul; connected in the One body of the Earth.

This is our Aquarian Age, when a critical mass of people will show the way into our unity.   2012 will likely bring the battles between the two worlds to a climax.   Afterwards we rebuild in the image of an Aquarian Age of liberty for all peoples, equality and sharing in a diverse multicultural world.  In 2020 we will have arrived enough for it all to be quite noticeable.  2009 will be a distant memory. 

In the coming year 2010 change will accelerate greatly.  Put on your seatbelt for that ride.   We will talk more about that in the coming weeks.

Astrology Forecast for November 22-28

The Sun moved into Sagittarius on Saturday night here in the USA>  It will stay there as always unti the winter solstice on December 21.

Sagittarius is the sign of expansion, of rising spirits.  Sag likes to do things in big ways, stretching our aims.   Sagittarius likes to see the best, to feel inspiration, to find meaning in all of life.   It relies on intuiion and spends a lot of time in the higher mind, always searching for greater understanding, for solutions.   Holiday season is a perfect time for Sag, who like celebration and the spiritual and spirited.   It is important for Sagittarius to make faith an important part of their life, as their life never works well without it.

There is a second quarter moon in Pisces on Tuesday.    Second quarter moons represent turning points in the lunar cycle.  The New Moon in Scorpio last Monday began a new cycle.  Now we are challenged to stay on course.   The Pisces Moon suggests we need to add our feelings and compassion to whatever we do now.   The Moon stays in Pisces Wednesday and through most of Thursday, Thanksgiving Day.  Should be a mostly mellow day.

Friday the Moon goes into action oriented Aries, so today and tomorrw Saturday. with the moon still in Aries, are good days to get moving and get things done.  Some will partake in an orgy of consumerism on Black Friday.
