We moved into a new zone last week, after the New Moon in Aquarius and Mars going retrograde.  Our lives are on pause/rewind now while Mars is retrograde, with issues being processed on levels sometimes deeper than we know.   It sometimes may feel like you are going backwards, as if gains you have made are being lost.  You are not going backward, this back and forth movement is part of the process. But if you try to move forcefully forward while Mars is retrograde, you will be stopped as it is not time yet.  You need more time to wait and see before you are ready.

Of course life goes on as normal in many ways too, but in other ways so much is shifting and changing.  The status quo is ripping apart. It is being held together on life support systems.

The changing of ages has us in a transition, but the semblance of security that the old world has given us is breaking apart.  That old world can no longer hold us, as it has little love and truth and soul in it anymore.  It is an empty structure, devoid of life substance.  It seeks to perpetuate its existence with smoke and mirrors and artificial prop ups.

Its world is filled with fast food takeouts and greasy burgers, nasty comments and only materialistic pursuits.  If you try to hold on you will go down with the ship.

So your system is now trying to help you to shed its toxins. Your body, soul and mind are releasing those toxins.   I know the zone you are in now may not feel very stable or secure sometimes, may not feel safe.  So you must reach deep for faith in life, faith in the Universe (God/Goddess), faith in your deeper soul.   Their process is often rather mysterious, not as left brain logical as that old world we are leaving behind.

Yes we must trust in the process now, have faith everything is moving just as should.  On the surface perhaps things sometimes look rather bleak, but looks can be deceiving.  When events seem to show us everything is falling apart, on a deeper level it is all coming together.

Look at what is falling apart in your life as your old world.  It needs to fall apart in order to make room for a new and healthier authentic you.  Your deeper soul is fighting for a sane, authentic, and healthy life, one aligned with the Universe and its progress into an Aquarian Age.

That Aquarian Age consciousness is bubbling deep inside, waiting to more fully enter our individual lives and world.  As old ways die, sometimes very painfully, we make room for new birth.

In the greater world, those old ways are dying hard. That perfect storm of economic and military chaos is slowly forming.  That old economy and military power has provided a sense of security here in the USA and western world.   Though it has often used greed and power abuse to gain and maintain its strength, it nevertheless has given its citizens a paradigm to live by that feels safe and secure.

But now we are on the verge of upheaval.

I alerted everyone to look for what would be happening with Iran as Mars goes retrograde, Mars being the god of war.  That day the European Union decided to put sanctions on Iranian oil and banks,not  starting until July, in order to give the European economies time to adjust to not having Iranian oil. The USA has already put similar sanctions on Iran.    China, India, Russia and others refuse to do the same, and are separating themselves from western countries.

In return Iran has threatened to close the Strait of Hormuz, where most of the world’s oil travels through. Iran this week has also threatened to stop oil shipments to Europe soon, before Europe plans to stop them in July. This would make the European people suffer high costs of oil.  War drums are beating over oil again.

That perfect storm we wrote about is beginning to form. While Mars stays retrograde, more will develop around Iran.  Israel this week also contributed to the Mars retrograde dialogue by stating that Iran is about to move to a place where they cannot be stopped from developing nuclear weapons. What they mean by this is that they (Israel) will soon need to stop the Iranian threat by attacking Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Mars goes back direct on April 14.  Movement forward will begin then. Until then realize that much will be “up in the air“. After that is a new and powerful eclipse season while Venus, planet of love and relationship, will then go retrograde also.  Matters of the heart will be on pause/rewind, processing and getting ready for new ways to relate.

This week the Moon is waxing toward the climax of a Full Moon in Leo next week on February 7.   This week also brings Neptune moving into Pisces on Friday February 3, where it will stay until 2025.

Neptune loves to be in Pisces, where it is at home. Neptune is the God of the Sea and Pisces is the ocean.    The movement is toward the mystical depths of soul, where poetry, metaphor, symbols and synchronicity are the language.    Logic can only be used as a tool to assist the liquid soul formlessness of Neptune in Pisces.

This is such  strong movement for deeper realities, the deep realities that give meaning to our material lives.  This is process, not goal orientation, and if you want to be in tune with this important shift in our collective consciousness, listen to your inner voice inside.  If you have been wanting to practice new forms of meditation, it is a good time now to begin.

If you want to dive deep into the mysteries lying beneath our waking state, go for it.   The spiritual world wants to have more of an influence on our lives now, and its values of unity, empathy, and compassion are ready to join our voyage into the Aquarian Age.   Peace is what we are moving toward as a human family, even as war brews on the surface of our reality.   Remember that as all seems to falling apart, on deeper levels it is all coming together.

The tides shift this Monday January 23, as there is a New Moon in Aquarius and Mars goes Retrograde. Additionally many will be celebrating that day the Chinese New Year of the Dragon.

This will feel like a turning point, one where you will sense on the one hand new beginnings, and on the other hand a pause in time.

The New Moon in Aquarius is a welcome new moon for many as it breaks us out of the flat seriousness of Capricorn.  Capricorn is ruled by Saturn and much of January is Capricorn time.  During that time we get more in touch with what we need to do, what we are obligated to do, and what we need to discipline ourselves to do. Capricorn also tends to push us into acceptance of what must be.

On Friday January 20 the Sun moved into Aquarius, and on Monday when the Moon joins the Sun there in Aquarius there is the New Moon in Aquarius. It is at 2:39 AM on the east coast of the USA.  Aquarius is ruled by Uranus, and Uranus is about breaking out of boxes and doing things differently.

So if you felt confined or restricted during Capricorn time of year, you will appreciate the relative freedom that Aquarius brings. Capricorn is not bad, as every sign has its purpose.  Many people like Capricorn because it helps them to feel grounded and anchored and getting down to business.

But many others feel their creativity and freedom suffer at that time. Now at Aquarius time of year you can open up more, especially your free mind. Aquarius facillitates an open and inventive mind, social networking, and socially conscious causes.   Aquarius also shows us the way to the value of the true individual and individual freedom and liberty.

Aquarius believes in equality and seeks to limit the importance of egos and privilege and dominance.   It believes in the strength of individuality and individual responsibility for the well being of the community and world.

Aquarius is very mental and detached, however, and so can sometimes be without much feeling.  It does of course have strong mental principles it seeks to live by, but sometimes lacks the emotional expression.   Aquarius also can sometimes, as a fixed sign, be rather rigid about its beliefs.

So this week begins to bring us out of the doldrums and wake us up to get going.  But Monday also brings us Mars Retrograde.

Mars is a planet of will and desire, of forcefulness and action. When it goes retrograde, we pause to decide what we truly want or desire.  We may also pause to reflect on what we are doing and where we are going.  Have we been truly picking what we really want in life?  Have we been moving in the right direction?  Are we doing what we really want and what is truly aligned for us, or are we doing what we should do or what we have been programmed to do?

While Mars is retrograde, from January 23 to Friday April 13, we may need to reevaluate what we have chosen for our lives.   Others may be reflecting on power and competition issues, or on anger issues, all issues associated with Mars.

Perhaps you have anger issues or issues about getting your way all the time. Or conversely perhaps you have drawn to yourself people who seek to dominate or have bad tempers or are rather selfish.

During the retrograde time period events may motivate you to look more deeply at these issues and make changes.    Mars Retrograde may be a good time to either share your power, or to learn to empower your self more.

Those on a spiritual path often believe that for the seek of peace one must repress one’s personal needs or suppress one’s personal power.

In reality, it is impossible for you to truly bring your best wishes for the world without your power. And if you want to be empowered you need to be in touch with your personal needs.

Nature gave you personal needs for a reason. To satisfy those needs is essential to surviving and thriving.  If you disempower your self you lose your ability to self actualize and contribute to your world.  Unselfishness and self sacrifice taken to a self defeating place is UNNATURAL.

Use this Mars retrograde time to empower your self. I do not mean to use or dominate others, but to get in touch with your natural wants and desires and your ability to use your will to manifest.

Of course it is essential to use your will in alignment with the Universe. If you are truly selfish or greedy or power hungry, you are out of alignment. But if you feel you want to live comfortably and happy in this world, you will need to fulfill your needs.

So Mars goes back direct on April 13 and returns to where it began at 23 degrees of Virgo on June 19.  After April 13 you can move more fully forward, and after June 19 you will have come full circle with whatever issues came up for you at the Mars Retrograde.

Since Mars in is Virgo for the whole retrograde period, it will also be a time to get in touch with bringing more order to your life, fixing and healing what needs to fixed and healed. Also, with Mars being in Virgo be careful not to get too obsessed or worried about any of the issues that come up for you during Mars Retrograde.

In the greater world the republicans are in the process of selecting who will be their nominee for President to run against President Obama.  Also do not be too surprised to see a viable third party candidate running for President. Ron Paul is a likely third party candidate, and would throw the election up for grabs.

As I wrote about in our last forecast, the coming eclipse season could bring the Perfect Storm of explosive events in the world.  Watch the Mars Retrograde movement early this coming week for potential clues of what may be coming soon.

Winter has finally hit, with a snow storm a couple days ago and a deep freeze on the way.  We are in the deep of Winter.

The Moon is waning now and moving down into its last Quarter phase, getting us prepared for a New Moon in Aquarius on January 23.

That will be a turning point day as Mars also goes Retrograde that day and the Chinese New Year of the Dragon begins.

But this week is low energy, winding down, making completions, cleaning up, preparing.    After the 23rd you can rev up your life engines again.

In the greater world a perfect storm is in the early stages of formation.  This perfect storm is the explosion that will shake up the Old World paradigm and reality.

Those of us on a spiritual soul journey into a new paradigm, a New Earth, an Aquarian Age, have been getting rewired into a new consciousness aligned with this World.

We have been facing spiritual crises that are meant to help us release the programming of the society of that Old World paradigm.   We have faced deep fears, let go of old beliefs and attitudes, endured physical health challenges, as we are being prepared for the storm ahead.

Each of us must be mentally and spiritually ready for the challenges ahead. The Old World is about to bring us events that will tend to evoke great fear.

The deep personal challenges we have each faced let us know that transformation into Unity consciousness is not an easy process. There are shadows and demons of separation consciousness to be faced and released on the path into Aquarian Age consciousness.

Many people are going to freak out because of the storms that are coming. The messages from the old world will be of fear, and hatred of those who are different.   They will tend to motivate you into a survival of the fittest mentality.   They will stoke you into nationalism and patriotism that will separate you from your fellow Earth citizen.   Enemies will be created by media and government, lies will be told to get you to choose sides.

But you have been cleansing, healing, and transforming your consciousness and life over the years. You know we are all One, that we have been getting prepared to create a New Earth, an Aquarian Age.

There is a war coming that is part of this perfect storm.  The Powers of the Old World are getting ready for a showdown with Iran.  War preparations are already beginning.  A False Flag incident is possible soon, one that is staged to look like a Pearl Harbor. Or perhaps more simply Israel will attack Iran.

This showdown with Iran has the potential to begin the dominoes falling into a war that will encompass much of the world.

The European economic crisis, which will become an American economic crisis, will form at a similar time period to the war cries with Iran, to help form this perfect storm.

Some people believe we can stop this all from happening with our prayers and positive visualizations. Perhaps Divine Intervention can be evoked to help us move into an Aquarian Age in a more graceful manner.

But it is also quite possible, as many prophecies have foretold, that these events are meant to be in order to bring about the transformation into a New World and New Earth.

But keep in mind that we are all on this Earth at just the right time. We are meant to be here now. We have incarnated at this time to be of assistance to our world in crisis.   The inner work and healing we have gone through over the years is in preparation for this crisis.

Many of you reading this will be leading the way into new consciousness and helping to create this New World.

The timing of this is difficult to ascertain.  The eclipse season this Spring 2012 is a likely time for the storm, but I believe the early dark winds of this storm will blow in sooner than that.  Watch for signs of the brewing storm near the coming New Moon in Aquarius as Mars goes Retrograde on January 23.  During the Mars Retrograde period there will likely be second thoughts on engaging in war, even as preparations are being made. Keep in mind that Mars is the archetypal god of war, and while it is retrograde we reflect on Mars issues.

Mars will go back direct on April 14.  Mercury will also be retrograde from March 12- April 4, so much contemplation and reflection will be in order then. Then sometime afterwards it is time to act and move forward.  Perhaps minds will be changed.

In May and June there are two powerful Eclipses. In June is the first pass of the revolutionary and evolutionary Uranus square Pluto.  This is the time period most likely when the Perfect Storm occurs, if it indeed will happen. The timing is not cut in stone.   Events will happen surrounding the May/June planetary intensities, but exact dates are almost impossible to ascertain.

There is nothing to worry and fret about, as all will unfold just as it meant to unfold.  You have been preparing, whether you are conscious of that fact or not. The shifts you have been experiencing are part of the process to put you just where you need to be.

We all know that life is not just about raising families, buying a home, making money, and consuming and buying. Life is a meaningful and sacred soul journey.  We are here on Earth as spiritual beings, reincarnating in order to return to our soul home of Unity consciousness.

No, all humans will not be entering Aquarian Age consciousness during this time of intense transition, but enough will to be able to create our new world.

This week, January 15-21, there is a waning last quarter Moon beginning early Monday morning. Then on Thursday there is a serious feeling in the air as the Sun squares Saturn. And on Friday the Sun moves into Aquarius, three days before the Moon joins the Sun in Aquarius to form a New Moon in Aquarius on January 23.

Aquarius time of year is a time for concentration on social networking, group activity, and social consciousness. It is also a time to break out of limiting boxes of consciousness, and to see things in inventive and creative ways. Aquarius tends toward distinct individuality, even if others may see it as weird and strange.  Aquarius is about rebellion against how one is supposed to be, and it is anti ego.  Aquarius hates tyranny and appreciates equality and freedom.  Aquarius walks the thin line between genius and crazy and loves to travel the network of mind and intellect.

We are firmly in winter now, though you would hardly know it up here in the northern regions of the USA.    It has been mostly mid autumn weather, with only a couple of snow dustings so far, no extreme cold or big snows.

It has felt like winter, however, inside the soul.   It has been a slow process of climbing out from the dark realms of the last eclipse season.  That eclipse season kind of felt like a rewiring of the body and spirit, perhaps getting ready for the immense changes of 2012.

We are each transforming our consciousness and lives to be alignment with the waves of evolutionary movement into an Aquarian Age.  Darker forces inside ourselves or in the world and Universe try to bring us backwards into fear and meaninglessness.

So it is important to keep the focus on the frequency of reality that shows us we are in the embrace of a a loving Universe, one that supports our meaningful and sacred soul journey.   This is an important time in the ourstory of humanity.

We are in transition between ages, with an old age trying to pull us back into a paradigm that believes in separation and teaches us that the dots of life and the Universe do not connect with one another.

This new paradigm shows us unmistakedly that there is Unity, not a unity of all in the same uniform; but a Diversity in Unity.

We each have been created in a distinct individualized unique manner.   The Unity of an Aquarian Age is not one that is about us all being the same.  It is about authentic individualized entities respecting their own and others’ differences, yet knowing we are all connected in larger community. This is Aquarius.

So do not be upset with your self when you get temporarily taken back to old fears, to old hurts and wounds that make you feel life, people, God, and the Universe cannot be trusted.    It is part of the growth process evolutionarily.

We sometimes need to return to those dark places inside so we can be more humbled, embrace our vulnerable human self, and reconnect with our compassion for those who suffer and feel alone and alienated.

2012 will be a roller coaster ride of transformation, helping us to open our hearts and minds to the possibilities.    It will a time when reality shifts in big ways, and when we see with new eyes.  It is important this year to keep an open mind about what is real and what is not.  We have been programmed by society and family to see reality in certain ways.   At one time society believed the world was flat, and those who believed differently were not accepted.

The electronic/computer age was science fiction not too long ago.   And perhaps before too long we will have new information about the origins of humanity, about our connections to star systems and alien life.

True transformation is breaking out of what you have programmed to believe, that which holds you back from Truth.  It is necessary to find your free mind, heart and soul in order to break the chains of the past that hold you.

As you find that liberation, you find your Authentic Self and your Soul Path, and you know your journey is sacred and meaningful. You are meant to be a part of the evolutionary wave into an Aquarian Age.   Your example will light the way for others to follow.

So when the doubts bring you into darker places in your heart, it is important to nurture your body and soul.  You nurture your body and soul by feeding it what is healthy.  You talk to people who are also on a soul’s journey, not to people who do not believe.  You read books or listen to cds that keep you on the path. You receive counseling or healings from people who know the dots of the Universe are connected in meaningful ways. You stay away, as much as possible from people, even and especially sometimes family, who remind and rewind you to the person you used to be.   They will only know you in the old role.

You will not be able to convince them of a reality they do not believe exists.  Of course you still love them, but your conversations and frequency of interaction may need to change.

This Week there is a Full Moon in Capricorn/Cancer.    It is overnight Sunday into Monday, at 2:31 AM January 9th here on the east coast USA.

The Sun is in Capricorn and represents our orientation to the outer world, our wordly duties, our professional lives, our organization and discipline, our accomplishments and what we have learned on our worldly journey.

The Moon in Cancer represents our personal life, our inner orientation and values, our feelings and soul.  It is about nurturance and protection and safety from the world.

So now at this Full Moon, it is time to find right relationship between your innner and outer realities, between your personal and professional life.   Have you been too focussed on doing what you need to do and get done and ignoring your inner world and personal feelings? Or have you been overprotective and procrastinating about what you need to accomplish or face up to?

Are you too concerned with family and children and ignoring your worldly ambitions, or have you been working too much and ignoring your family and children?

It is time to do your best to find the balance.

The next big shift will be after January 23, as on that day there is New Moon in Aquarius and the Chinese New Year of the Dragon. Also that day Mars, our planet of action, will, and desire goes Retrograde. It will get us to reflect on those issues in our life, and ponder if we are on the right track.

2012:   I remember back in August 1987 when I was first made aware of the Mayan Calendar and Jose Arguelles and the end date of 2012. It was the time of the Harmonic Convergence.  I was living in the San Francisco area, practicing as a professional astrologer and counselor, and often reflecting on the coming Aquarian Age.

So of course I made the correllation between the Mayan calendar and its ending of an old world in December 2012, and the transition between a Pisces Age and an Aquarian Age.

I was also aware at the time of Biblical predictions from Revelations of the end of the world and the Christ and the anti-Christ.

And 10 years later, while living in Santa Fe, New Mexico, I was educated in Hopi prophecy, which predicted a fast approaching end of an old age and the beginning of a New Age of respect for the Earth and unity between peoples of different races and ethnicities.  But this unity would come only after many natural disasters and world war.

It was apparent and still is, that there must be something really big happening in our world at this time, as so many different sources and cultures all believed we were entering a powerful and profound time on the Earth, when the world as we knew it was going to transform into a whole new world and age.

So ever since those New Age awakening years of mine, I have concentrated much of my work to this transition time here on the Earth, this time of changing our consciousness and lives in attunement with the approaching Aquarian Age.

And over the last few years, more and more people are becoming aware that the old paradigm for living on the Earth, one which believes in a survival of the fittest, dog eat dog mentality, is destroying our human family and our Earth and its creatures.  Many have been changing their consciousness and lives in alignment with the Universe, as it opens up the gates to a New World and Age.  They are finding the connections, not the separations anymore. They know their soul, mind, heart and body are all working together. They know all of humanity is of One Family. They know our Earth is our sacred home, and needs to be loved and cared for as all homes need to be.

Those on the path into a New World consciousness also know that those who hold power in the old world will not let go without help from the changes that come from nature and the Universe.   These great changes shake up our old reality, help us release the fears and toxins, and open us up to healthier ways of being and living.

Many have us were severely challenged in 2011, especially around the Eclipse seasons in June/July and November/December.  Many of our worst fears and old patterns came up to haunt us.    We needed to recommit to our journey into a New World consciousness of meaning, wholeness, connectedness, and love.   We have needed to more fully know that we are going through our challenges in order to be cleansed of old toxic programming, so we may more fully embrace that we are each on a sacred soul journey that is helping us to evolve our consciousness in alignment with the Aquarian Age we moving into.

Many of us have struggled in 2011 to let go of fear and doom thinking, let go of our old tapes inside our heads that wants us to believe we live in a world that does not support us and is not safe or loving.   We are letting go of the notion that life is not a good place to be, that it will always give us suffering and pain.

Some have endured bodily challenges that have frightened them.     Keep in mind that our bodies are also being shifted in order to be better prepared for the shift of ages.   We are being taken out of old habits that keep our bodies toxic and heavy.  The challenges in our bodies are meant to help us change our ways to more healthy ones and to change the vibrations in our souls and bodies. It is best not to go into fear and doom thinking that mainstream medicine encourages.  Some bodily disturbances now will stay only temporarily, so do not hang onto them with your fear.

Expect 2012 to bring more challenges and changes, as we move more fully forward into an Aquarian Age.  There will many surprises that shake up the status quo of the greater world in 2012.    War with Iran will create a Middle East war that will threaten world war. The economy in Europe will further deflate, which will affect all of the world, especially western civilization.   Climate Change will continue to bring weird weather patterns and natural disasters.    And it is quite possible that extraterrestrial life will make stronger appearances that cannot be denied.

Many believe that alien life is wanting to help us to awaken to the crisis that our human family and Earth are going though, so we can be more proactive in creating a healthier world aligned with the energies of the Age of Aquarius.

2012 will be a ferocious year of change, and astrologically speaking the signpost for this transformational change will be Uranus square Pluto, which makes its first pass in June 2012, during an eclipse season. Expect spring and summer 2012 to shift us all in big ways.  When Uranus and Pluto made their last major connection in 1965-66, it brought in the ’60s revolution.

It is best now to get into healthy habits that will support your commitment to keep a meaningful and wholistic consciousness. Meditation, healthy eating, communing with like minded people, going to healers and counselors, etc will give you a strong foundation that will weather the coming storms.

This is real! Our world as we know it is ending.  A New World is being born. The Arab Spring and Occupy Wall Street are the beginning shoots of growth into liberation from the old world and its controls over our hearts and souls.   Be a part of the new and you will find your authentic self and a renewed sense of purpose.   The old messages that there is something wrong with you will be more fully released.  You were made just right and all you need to do is let your self blossom into Self actualization.

The week ahead, January 1 2012 to January 7 2012, is a waxing moon phase moving toward a Full Moon on January 9.

We have passed the darkest day of the year at the Winter Solstice, and moved past the Capricorn New Moon last week. And though we are now moving toward more light every day, there still is a lot of darkness. So do not beat your self up if you are sometimes feeling down now.

With the Sun still in Capricorn, it is a good time not so much to act, but to make long term plans.    And then after making those plans, one can begin to implement the plan through discipline and organization.     Through making these commitments, which can be aligned with New Year’s resolutions, one can better handle the nagging feeling that one is not doing what needs to be done. Capricorn time of year is a good time to put one’s life in order.

Today at the New Moon in Capricorn, we are moving out beyond the Eclipse Season.  And it was quite an intense and challenging time for many as Mercury was also Retrograde for most of the Eclipse Season.

Though the time was difficult for some, it did also feel like an initiation into a new cycle of life.

If you were out of balance in some area of your life, the shifts helped to take you out of your old habits.   Sometimes habits are addictions, and they keep us away from our deeper soul, from living in the moment.    As we live more from our deeper soul and live more in the moment, we live creatively and alive.

Important planetary passages, as was this recent Eclipse period, shake up our consciousness and lives and help us to let go of programming, old habits and ways that keep us from more authentic living.

As we release the old, we heal from the hurts of our past and transform our beliefs, attitudes, and lives.    We are then more ready to embrace the coming changes.   These intiations that we move through during important astrological transitions, help us to more fully embrace our changing world in a way that is aligned with nature and the Universe.

It is our collective mission, as we transition into an Aquarian Age, to heal our human family from its separations, to honor our Earth and its creatures, and to live in health and wholeness in our bodies, souls, and minds.   If we keep our focus on this mission, we will be ready for whatever the Universe brings our way.

2012 is a big year of change, bigger than the changes of 2011.   We are each being prepared, by the wisdom of the Universe, to serve our purpose and function in the New World developing.

So today at 1:06 PM EST there is a New Moon in Capricorn. It is a somewhat complicated Capricorn New Moon, in that it is widely conjunct Pluto and closely square Uranus. Uranus and Pluto are both transformational planets, so the usual steady and sober Capricorn will encounter more radical energies.

That means that there could be more shifting tides during this lunar cycle, which lasts from today December 24 until January 23 at the Aquarius New Moon, which also brings in the Chinese New Year of the Dragon.

There should not be the degree of intensity and challenge of the Eclipse Season, but nevertheless there will be shifting in accordance with what you experienced during the Eclipse Season.    If something shifted or changed for you during the Eclipse Season, there will be events that result from those changes for the month ahead.

Since Uranus is so close to being in square to the New Moon in Capricorn, there may be some new breakthroughs also.

Jupiter changes directions from Retrograde to Direct on Christmas Day December 25.  It is at the very beginning degree of Taurus.  Christmas Day should feel very positive and uplifting, yet not out of control.  There should be a recognition now that all has settled into a more comfortable place.

As Jupiter goes direct, all the planets are direct now, which is unusual.  This will end in late January as Mars goes retrograde then.

For now however all systems are go, all energies of the Universe are moving in forward gear.  It is a good time to think about the future and about the year ahead, which we will do next week.

We have moved through two powerful and meaningful eclipses while Mercury was retrograde.  The intensity has lessened and we have turned a corner, but we are still in the Eclipse Season for a little while longer, until perhaps the New Moon in Capricorn on Christmas Eve December 24.

For now as we slowly release the pressures and emotions from that frequency that held our attention, we move down into the Winter Solstice this week.

Running around frantically shopping and partying is not in alignment with the coming  Solstice.  It is true that until the Winter Solstice we are still in Sun in Sagittarius time, so there is fire energy at our disposal.  But we are moving toward a solemn and sacred turning point of the year this week: The Winter Solstice.  It synchronizes appropriately with the true meanings of Christmas, which is deeply soulful, yet promising hope for our human family.

The Winter Solstice is a time of greatest darkness of the year, but is the turning point for a return to the light.    There are more dark minutes of the day at the Winter Solstice, but after its passing each day is lighter until the Summer Solstice, which has the most light in a day.

So if you are feeling sadness or grief or being drawn down emotionally, you are in alignment with the yin movement now.

It is wise now to find time to be alone, to find your inner compass, to contemplate, to reflect.    Running around and being manic is all too often what people do at this time of the year, and it pushes us out of the sacred space necessary now.

Of course we need to prepare for Holiday meals and family get-togethers, but if we can stay present with the natural tone of this time of year, we will appreciate the season.   Gratitude is more natural as we face the darkness, as we recognize that life can sometimes be diffcult or painful. We appreciate more than ever the people who we love and who love us.

The actual Winter Solstice is this coming Thursday December 22 at 12:30 AM here on the east coast USA. In the rest of this country the solstice is on Wednesday December 21.

The Winter Solstice brings the Sun into Capricorn for the coming month.    Cancer is the opposite of Capricorn and happens for the first month of summer. It brings with it the abundance of nature and Sun and light. Capricorn teaches us that we must do what we have to do, even if it is not in the flow of nature.   The resolutions of New Year happen during Capricorn time of year, and it is then we often decide to do things we do not feel like doing. We instead choose to do things we need to do or should do.  We know we need to discipline ourselves more and that it is time to “get it together”

Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, which is like Father Time. Time is what gives us limits.  It tells us we need to do things before we run out of time. It tells us we age and that we only have so much time. So Capricorn can definitely feel like a “downer”, but if used properly brings us accomplishment and success. It helps us to plan and organize, and build.   Though it can feel confining to free spirits, abiding by its lessons can bring a feeeling of groundedness and security.

We are getting closer now to ending 2011.  In the greater world there was liberating change with the Arab Spring,  the OWS movement, and Wikileaks.  There were the painful challenges of the Earthquake in Japan with its nuclear reactor tragedy, and the continued suffering for so many with a weakened economy.

2012 will bring us even more greater change.  Its highlight astrologically will be the square of Uranus and Pluto, which will last for a few years.  Their first exact pass will be during the next Eclipse Season in May/June 2012. That promises to be a time of enormous change.

The last time Uranus and Pluto made an important aspect with one another was in 1965/66 when they were c0njunct in Virgo.  This conjunction brought in the ’60s era.    It was a time of Revolution and consciousness Evolution.  Life as knew it would never be the same.    Our old paradigm for living was thrown into upheaval and we were flooded with waves of new consciousness and ways of living for humanity on the Earth.  People began to sing about the Dawning of the Age of Aquarius.

And now 46 years later, as we meet Uranus and Pluto again, we are closer than ever to realizing the Age of Aquarius, in my estimation opening up at the end of 2020. The amount of change we now need to release the old paradigm and age is enormous.  The degree of new waves of consciousness coming in is greater than ever. 2012 promises to be a roller coaster ride of transformation and healing.   And the world as we know it, will be getting dimmer and dimmer in our rear view mirrors.

For now, however, allow yourself to be present for the passage of the Winter Solstice and the holidays.

Today, at the Lunar Eclipse Full Moon and Uranus Direct, we shift our gears and open up to more fully embrace the changes. Mercury Goes Direct this week Tuesday to also help us to move forward.

The last few weeks we have been experiencing the Eclipse Season while Mercury has been retrograde.  It is good to keep in mind that we are also experiencing the days getting darker and darker on the way to a Winter Solstice on December 21/22.

It has been a very intense period, when we have been shaken out of our usual comfort zones, and challenged to let go and trust the process of nature and the Universe.

It is so easy in the modern world to go on cruise control with our lives, to live in habits, and to ignore the fact that there is deep mystery of life that has much influence over us.

At these times of great planetary shifting, we are made to be aware of the fact that there are powerful forces of the Universe influencing our consciousness and lives.

Life is not meant to be just a casual journey through material experience.   We have souls and those souls are connected to the Great Mystery.

We come here to Earth for a reason, not just to have the American dream of material comfort.

Our souls reveal to us that there is Oneness, that all is connected, that we are connected to one another, to nature, and to the Universe.

Our material bodies, which do separate us one from another, have a tendency in our current human paradigm, to assist us in ignoring the fact we have souls.

We are taught only to trust and believe in that which we can see and touch.  The inner spiritual dimension is not truly honored and is considered by many to be “wu-wu” or foolish and to be ridiculed.   We  are taught to approach all our issues or challenges in linear, “scientific” terms only.

If we have an illness, we see it in very linear terms, trying to fix it like fixing a car.

But our souls teach us wholeness and oneness, that our spirits, minds, soulls and bodies are connected, and that they are constantly interacting with one another.

To try to fix what is wrong with your body without healing your soul or soothing your mind or looking for the messages from nature and the Universe does not  truly heal the situation.  Instead it makes you reliant on mainstream thought and medicine from the old world we are leavng behind.

Religion from the old world does talk of souls, but mainly in the context of being moral or good so you can go to heaven not hell.

Soul in the new world is not about judgement, but about connection to the Universe and its principles, messages, cycles, and energies.

As you move through these challenging times now, concentrate on releasing your grip to the old world and its fear, guilt, rules, and judgements that imprison your soul in its programming.

Open instead to your inner wisdom, to the guidance of the Universe as seen through signs and symbols and sychronicities.

All that is happening to you is meant to assist your soul’s journey to more light and truth and love.  Pain is in ratio to how much you resist the movement forward into a new world.

So now at the turning of the wheels of the Universe during this eclipse season, let go of the false security of an old world that is dying, an old paradigm for living on the Earth that is dying. Open to the beauty that is You in your Authentic Self, connected to all other authentic selves- on the way to an Aquarian Age.

You can see all the freedom and liberation movements happening all over the world, including now here in the United States with OWS and in Russia the last few days also.

There is no stopping this movement forward into an Aquarian Age. It is as destined as the changing of seasons in the year. This a seasonal change of the Universe, from a Pisces Age begun over 2000 years ago to the cusp of an Aquarian Age we are now on.

Yes there will be much chaos and trouble in the greater world coming, but do your best to not hook into the dramas of fear, hatred, demonizing of enemies, and general mistrust of others and the world.  There will be explosive changes coming our way in 2012, but we each need to remind ourselves we have been born at this time for a reason.

Ask your self why you are here now at such an important time on the Earth. What is your role?  It can simply mean you are here to raise conscious children for a new world, or to spead more postive and loving energy to others. It can mean that you, as you evolve and transform your life into the Aquarian Age, are becoming a cell in the body of the collective of souls who are creating this new world.

This coming week, we begin to slowly move out of the Eclipse season, as we passed the last eclipse today December 10.   And finally Mercury goes direct this Tuesday evening.   Clarity gets stronger, the confusion lifts, the strange zone many of us have been in begins to pass.

But it will not be time to spread your wings and fly as we are moving into darker and darker days leading up to the Winter Solstice on December 22 at 12:30 AM on the east coast. It is at 9:30 PM on the west coast of the USA.

At this time of year, as the darkness settles in, we appreciate the blessings and people we do have in our lives, and we reach out our hearts to those who are suffering, alone, or are losing hope.  We know they are a part of each one of us, as each of us has felt despair or pain.

Yet as we leave the eclipses and Mercury Rerograde behind,  the intensity subsides and we begin to settle into and integrate the changes that have come our way.

We are in the holiday season now, and many people are able to still appreciate the deeper meaning of this season, beyond the commercial rate race.

We are now in the middle of a twilight zone, begun November 24/25, when Mercury went retrograde and a Solar Eclipse New Moon in Sagittarius occurred.  On December 10 there will be a Lunar Eclipse Full Moon in Sagittarius, and on December 13 Mercury goes back direct.

This time period, from November 24-December 13 is the time we stay in this twilight zone.    The haze should begin to clear after that. Then as we pass through the Winter Solstice on December 21 and a New Moon in Capricorn on December 24,  we should be on the other side of the insecurity.

Sorting through information  to find solution and answers can be difficult now.  The approaching Lunar Eclipse is in information and communication carrying Gemini.  Messenger of the Gods Mercury is the ruling planet of Gemini.  It is now in often confusing retrograde.  So this is why information and communication issues are up in our face, and why there is fogginess about it all.

Sagittarius, where the Solar Eclipse occurred and where the Sun opposes the Moon for the Lunar Eclipse Full Moon in Gemini, is about finding understanding, answers, and solutions.

But the natural way of sorting through information to find solutions is confused by Mercury Retrograde, and the issues are intensified because we are in an Eclipse Season.  Eclipse times also tend to cause breakdowns and possible breakthroughs also.

So all is a mess now for many people and worse a nightmare for some.

It is best now to not jump to any conclusions too fast. Using information in a strictly left brain logical way is not best now either.  One is best combining one’s linear mind with more right brain intuitive thought also.  Keep a spiritual perspective and do not get too caught up in negative thinking, which is often masked as “getting real”.  Realistic means looking for your truth, not what is conventionally true. Old ways of thinking often come up during Merccury Retrograde.

Remember that we are being moved by Universal cycles into new consciousness and lives, and OLD RULES do not apply anymore.

That does not mean you use non conventional or spiritual thinking as an excuse to avoid truth and escape reality. It means you will not allow your self to deny what you KNOW inside your self to be true. Of course now it may be difficult to know this truth, but keep firm about not allowing negative fear based thinking to rule you.

Your free mind and heart must be trusted more and more now as we move out of an old paradigm and age.    It is true it is not always good to move too fast, as you can get overwhelmed and feel quite insecure. But these powerful aspects challenge us to see the light of truth, not the doom of truth.

The Universe brings us situations that assist us to move in more healthy and whole directions, but the process is not always easy.

These times of challenging planetary waves are meant to help us to let go of the old ways and patterns and beliefs that no longer serve us. They are meant to help us to trust ourselves and our Universe more, and to come into our authentic selves and a more meaningful and purposeful life.

Let go of the negative programming that has kept you in fear of living your life alive and satisfied.   During these eclipse seasons the challenges to stay on our path sometimes get strong, but we are getting these challenges in order to firm our resolve.    The residuals you hold of negative thinking can be let go of now, so also let go of giving your power away to friends or partners or authority figures or conventional wisdom.

Instead search your heart and soul and mind for what is true.  And in that process you trust your own inner wisdom and empower yourself.

This does not mean you have to go it alone.  You can listen to people whose wisdom resonates with your sense of truth, whose wisdom you can sense is for the purpose of truly supporting you and your journey.

Family and old friends often try to keep a person in old boxes and want to see them in a familiar light. This does not mean they are bad people. It only means they have insecurities of their own which preclude their ability to be clear and healthy and to truly see YOU.

You do not necessarily need to let them go, but you will not be able to change them either.  The important issue to examine is if you can be with them and still be in your truth and power.

If not you will need to consider seeing them less often, or at the least keeping the conversation on safe ground.

So this week we are moving toward the Total Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius/Gemini next Saturday December 10 at 9:36 AM EST.   On that same day Uranus will permeating the frequencies of our psyches as it goes direct that same day.

There is great opportunity as we approach next weekend for breakthroughs, for new inventive and original ways of seeing and thinking.    Keep an open mind and heart so the Universe can provide you with the viewpoint you need.

In the greater world, events tend to bring many people into fear.  The Powers that Were still carry much weight in our world.  But they are slowly losing their firm grip over people’s minds, hearts, and lives.

As we each claim our inherent right to freedom and self determination, we make clear intention to join with others who know the Earth and world belong to “God’s children”, all of us, not to those who are greedy and power hungry.

It has been told that Christ said that the meek shall inherit the Earth. Meek does not mean week and powerless. It means that we do not seek to dominate and control.  We seek instead to connect and make relationship, to heal and transform the human community on Earth to be one of love and compassion and service.

It is the foundation we need to usher in the Aquarian Age.

We have entered a new reality zone- since Mercury went retrograde Thursday and there was a Solar Eclipse New Moon in Sagittarius Friday.  Free your mind and soul from old patterns and obstructions, and be open to finding new solutions and understandings.  It is time for new beginnings and new inspirations, time to let go of old fears and have more faith in your self and life.  But be careful not to jump or impulsively leap into anything.

Mercury Retrograde gives the feeling that things seem different or unusual or even weird.  That is because the mental plane (Mercury) is changing perception by going retrograde.  We kind of rewind, which helps us to stop and be more reflective.  Mercury Retrograde shifts the mind from what it thought to be true, and helps it to see a situation from a new angle.

In the process of rewinding, we go back to the past sometimes and re-member.   People we have not seen or thought of for awhile come back to our thoughts and feelings, and sometimes actually “in the flesh” come back into our lives to visit.

Since we have just passed through a New Moon in fiery Sagittarius, there is impetus to take a leap forward in our lives or at least in our consciousness.   Since this New Moon is a Solar Eclipse, the potential energy to move forward is many times greater than a usual New Moon.

You may later look back on this time period, this lunar cycle, which lasts until December 24, as a time when things in your life shifted in a big way.   It may be looked at as a time when there was a letting go of beliefs or patterns or people or things and a big breakthrough into new territory.

Let the lunar cycle play out before jumping to any conclusions or making any big moves, if you can help it, as remember that the Solar Eclipse is in sometimes impulsive Sagittarius and that Mercury is Retrograde.

Begin the process of the shifting tides of attitudes and consciousness, let things and people be released if it is time, but do your best to keep options open for as long as you can. Remember that Mercury goes back Direct on December 13 and the current Lunar Cycle, begun at the Solar Eclipse New Moon, ends at the next New Moon on December 24.

So let the process unfold and try not to get too goal directed.   The answers will come when it is time, not when you try to use your left brain logic and analysis to force the river to move.

Thursday/Friday, November 30/December 1 there is a turning point in this Eclipse Lunar cycle, as there is a second quarter Moon in Pisces opposite Mars, while Venus is conjunct Pluto.  There is a distinct possibility of conflict, which will challenge your desire to move in a certain direction. Again, do not do anything impulsively.    Keep on track and wait for the air to clear between December 13 and 24th.

There is Major turning point before that, as things will shake up in a most major way surrounding the date of the Total Lunar Eclipse Full Moon on December 10.   This eclipse is quite powerful and synchronizes with Uranus going Direct the same day.

Chaos will likely be strong then, and events will happen in a more unpredictable manner.   Some will be overwhelmed with conflicting information that is difficult to sort through.    We will talk more about that Lunar Eclipse as we get closer to the date.

The signs most affected by these current eclipses are Sagittarius and Gemini, and secondarily Virgo and Pisces.  If you know your astrology natal chart, take note that any planets you have in mutable signs Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces will be affected, especially if they are between 0 and 4 degreess of 11 through 15 degrees of those signs.  Your life will change in more major ways if that is the case.

In the greater world the Military/Economic system that is run by the USA and Western powers is deflating in order to eventually be in more equal relationship with the rest of the world.  There is nothing that can stop this movement as it is aligned with an Aquarian Age.

There will most likely be much force applied to stop this inexorable movement.  Bandaids are being applied to the sides of the sinking Titanic Economy.   It will through time transform in a big way, but only after the old paradigm has more obviously died in the eyes of those in power.

The military part of this power is also unraveling, and will get worse in Afghanistan/Pakistan,  and in the Middle East.  The USA and western powers are losing influence in these parts of the world, parts of the world where they have no right to be.   When Iran is attacked, which will happen by the summer of 2012, most of the world will be involved in the conflict, which will change the power structure of the world forever.

With each major planetary event, like eclipses, the old world is challenged to release its ways and allow for a more healthy, loving, just world culture.  With each eclipse season, as we are in now, each of us has doors opened into more healthy ways to live on Earth with one another.

The overall movement is to honor the individuality and authenticity of every person and entity, and to find one’s function and purpose in the whole of the human family and Universe. This means contribution to the world community, while we are being true to our authentic self.

Finding our way in life by mainly contributing to monetary profit motives leaves people empty and unfulfilled.

In the Aquarian Age, our purpose is not to make corporations profitable or to keep religious commandments or to please our national interests or to play the role our families demand of us.   We find our purpose by finding our true self as we were created, connecting and aligning with the energies, cycles and seasons of the Universe, and then finding our way to serve our human community on Earth.

Again remember during this eclipse season: life is sacred and meaningful, and sometimes as time passes we must release that which has its time to go.  And though it may sometimes be difficult, a sacred and meaningful life also requires us to embrace the new, our new phases and seasons of our life that at first are not so comfortable.
