Weekly Worldview and Astrology Forecast for February 7-13

We move further forward into 2010, a year of much transformation for the human community on Planet Earth.  The spring and summer especially will shake up the status quo and consensus reality, and bring us forward into Aquarian waves of change.

Since the year began it has been intense, and many can now feel the deep rumblings of change to come.   We started the year with 2 eclipses, a lunar eclipse full moon in Capricorn/Cancer on New Year’s Eve, giving us a powerful signature for the year ahead; then a Solar Eclipse New Moon in Capricorn on January 15.

These eclipses were surrounded in time by a Saturn/Pluto square, a most powerful combination.   The first pass of the square occurred on November 15 2009 and the second on January 31 2010.  A third pass erupts into our world in August this year.  We mentioned in last week’s blog that dramatic events often synchronize with this Saturn/Pluto connection.   Both World Wars in the 20th century and the 9-11 attacks in 2001 happened during “hard” aspect between these planets.

Many more important aspects suggesting great change also occur in 2010, like Jupiter opposite Saturn, Uranus opposite Saturn, Jupiter conjunct Uranus, and the beginning waves of Uranus square Pluto.  There also is a very powerful lunar Eclipse Full Moon Grand Cross in cardinal signs in late June of this year.    These aspects help you to let go of old patterns and beliefs, situations and people that no longer fit who you are and who you are becoming.

In turn you expand your consciousness, incorporate new and healthy beliefs, attitudes and life styles.  You see the connections and synchronicities more and more, you open your mind and heart to new possiblites and progress in your life and consciousness.  The old paradigm and age are dying, old ways of living and doing business are dying.   Dog eat dog social Darwinism angrilybegins to leave our world, so we can come together in one human family to heal our human condition and planet Earth.

So there is much change coming, which we will discuss in greater depth as we get closer to the spring and summer events.

For now we each need to concentrate internally on our own life and soul path, especially so because Mars is retrograde.   Mars went retrograde on December 20 2009 and will go back direct on March 10 2010.

Mars is a planet of action, of  forward movement of life energy.  But when it is retrograde we often feel as if we do not know where we are going in some areas of our life.  Mars also is about “want” or desire.   When Mars is retrograde we often do not know what we really want or desire.   Our sense of life direction can be clouded.    Do we want to stay in our job, will we lose our job, do we want to change careers?      Do we want to move forward with a certain relationship or not?  Do we want to stay in our current home or not?   Do we want to go to school or not?

During Mars retrograde time periods we often find our selves in situations where we are at turning points in our lives.    We are needing to make decisions soon, or we are in situations where we must dig deeper to know where we are going and what we truly want for our lives.

Around March 10, when Mars goes back direct again, the ignition will be started up again for our lives.     You may not have everything all figured out quite yet, but you will feel more restless to get moving again.  Sometime just before or soon after you will have a better idea of where you are going with your life.

But for now, with Mars still retrograde, do not worry too much if you do not know your way yet.  Don’t ”push the river” and try too hard to find answers. They will come to you at the right time.   All cannot be figured out in our heads. Much of life unfolds at the right time,  more gracefully than we expect.  This does not mean we should be passive.  Of course we need to be proactive with our lives, but our striving can be aligned with the greater flow of the Universe and nature, not in domination of it.

We also are in the last quarter Moon phase almost all  this week.  The last quarter began last Friday the 5th in Scorpio.    We are in this waning Moon phase until the New Moon on Saturday February 13 at 9:51 PM EST.    This passing lunar cycle began during the intensity of the Solar Eclipse New Moon in Capricorn on January 15.

During this waning phase it is time to wind down our energies from the issues begun at that last new moon eclipse, and prepare for a  new beginning at that next New Moon in Aquarius next Saturday.

The New Moon in Aquarius suggests for the month ahead we get more involved in group activities, internet activities,  socially conscious endeavors, and thinking outside the usual boxes.

See you next week

Saturn and Pluto- World Transformation, and Astrology Forecast January 31-February 6

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , on January 30, 2010 by spiritualtherapy

by Leo Knighton Tallarico

The most dominant astrological aspect in our collective psyches now is Saturn square Pluto, whose second pass is happening Sunday the 31st of January.   The first pass was on November 15, 2009, and the last pass will be in August 2010.  Therefore from October 2009 through September 2010 this aspect will be asserting its influence in our lives.  Though all aspects and all planets are meaningful and have a “needed” role or function to serve in our lives, these two do not usually feel very good.

If you have been feeling heavy, serious, darker energies in your life lately, you may be experiencing this Saturn/Pluto aspect now.   Sometimes it feels like impending doom is upon upon you.

Saturn is the Teacher, and not the soft and fuzzy kind.   It is the stern taskmaster who teaches us our toughest lessons.   Saturn is Karma and the law of “as you sow, so shall you reap”, or “what goes around, comes around”.   There is no escaping some limits defined by Saturn, like death.   Saturn is boundaries and limits, rules and regulations.  It helps us to concentrate on achieving and accomplishing through planning and organization, through discipline and hard work.   Saturn is our gravitational anchor to this earthly world.    It is the forms we build that we try to conserve and preserve as long as we can.   It is the “system” we have built through our government, military, and economic institutions.  It is the traditions and security forms you have built in your own life.

Pluto is the guardian of the underworld, the shadow world that holds all our deeper emotions and thoughts that are connected to our more primal instincts.  These primal instincts “know” what has gone beyond the laws of nature and our deeper Soul, what has become artificial or corrupt or stagnant or “soul dead”.    Pluto’s primal power sometimes ruthlessly destroys that which has outlived its time or has become an empty form devoid of spirit or soul.   After Pluto has taken us to the pit of our psyche, to the core of the issue, it then releases that which is ready to be shed.  Then from the ashes of destruction, a phoenix of new life is born.  Old forms are destroyed and new seeds are birthed.

When Saturn and Pluto make “hard” aspect to one another, through conjunction, opposition or square, powerful events explode into our collective lives.  In 1914, the year of a Saturn/Pluto conjunction, World War I broke out.   In 1939, at a Saturn/Pluto square, World War II broke out.   In 2001, in August, Saturn was in opposition to Pluto.  One month later the 9-11 attacks were perpetrated against the USA.

Keep in mind that such dramatically destructive events do not occur at every such Saturn/Pluto aspect.  But you certainly get the flavor of Saturn and Pluto together by these examples.  Pluto is the primal energy that seeks to destroy old Saturnian forms, structures, and institutions.    There is a rebirth that occurs through the ashes of destruction.    The current world structure, run by a massive Military/Economic structure, is in the process of restructuring. The current economic challenges we face; the shifting of world power to the east and China and India; the powder keg of “freedom fighters”/”terrorists” ; all show us the restructuring of our world system.

There are other cultural structures or paradigms that need to be transformed also.  As of this writing the Super Bowl will air an ad that is pro-life against pro-choice, but will not allow an ad that promotes a gay dating site.    The power of Pluto seeks to destroy old Saturn forms that do not serve greater Life anymore.  The Saturn structures fight for the old form to survive.   Do not worry, it is an issue of natural process toward furthering human evolution.   The Aquarian Age welcomes all forms of love, and old “traditional” ways that no longer serve greater love will die.

In your personal life, look at the security forms you have built.     If these forms support your soul’s journey they are fine.  But if you have lost your passion and sense of purpose for your life, then perhaps it time to transform your life.  Maybe you need new work, new relationships, a new home?  Perhaps old patterns of behavior no longer serve your deeper Self.

If you are running your life in any way that represses your authentic self, your passion and joy, then perhaps you are ready for change.    If you live your life to please someone else or just because you were programmed to live it that way, perhaps you are ready for change.

Saturn square Pluto is not the only transformational aspect in 2010. Saturn opposite Uranus, Jupiter conjunct Uranus, and the first waves of Uranus square Pluto occur this year.  Also there will be a powerful Lunar Eclipse Full Moon Grand Cross in late June.

We will talk  about all of these aspects more in the spring of 2010 when they emerge into our world psyche.

This week be careful not to be enveloped by your own or other people’s heavy and negative energies.  The purpose of Saturn/Pluto is help us to release the past and that which has no life in it anymore for us.    Grieve, yell, get angry, but don’t let your self fall into a pit of despair, depression, or misery.

Modern groundhog day, which is  Christian Candlemas happens on February 2, this Tuesday.  It is approximately the mid point of winter solstice and spring equinox.

It is time to feel the coming of spring right around the corner.

Imbolc is celebrated also at this time.    It is a Celtic holiday celebrated by neo Pagans.  It is traditionally a time of weather prognostication, and the old tradition of watching to see if serpents or badgers came from their winter dens is perhaps a precursor to Groundhogs Day. A Scottish Gaelic proverb about the day is:

Thig an nathair as an toll
Là donn Brìde,
Ged robh trì troighean dhen t-sneachd
Air leac an làir.

“The serpent will come from the hole
On the brown Day of Bride,
Though there should be three feet of snow
On the flat surface of the ground.”

Fire and purification are an important aspect of this festival. Brigid (also known as Brighid, Bríde, Brigit, Brìd) is the Gaelic goddess of poetry, healing and smithcraft. As both goddess and saint she is also associated with holy wells, sacred flames, and healing. The lighting of candles and fires represents the return of warmth and the increasing power of the Sun over the coming months.

Baseball spring training begins around this also.

Allow your self this week to feel the glow of the coming spring even it feels cold as ice this week.

See you next week.

Out with the Old and Corrupted, and Astrology Forecast for January 24-30

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , on January 23, 2010 by spiritualtherapy

By Leo0 Knighton Tallarico

It is becoming abundantly clear that real and deep transformational change here in America will not happen without powerful and drastic measures and events.   I had hoped back in November 2008, when we elected Barack Obama, that the change from one age to another could happen with some grace.

I have known for quite awhile that America and the world would be going through huge waves of change.   The corruptions, dysfunctions, greed, power abuses, and Americans’ apathy would all need to be cleaned up and released in order for us to live in a healthier, more functional, caring, fair and just America and world. The changing of Ages into an Aquarian Age and through the Mayan 2012 demand this will happen.

And Barack Obama’s candidacy raised our hopes that he would lead us into reclaiming our country back to “we the people”.    He raised our hopes that we would get back our decency and higher principles, so that we would make real change and could have more hope for our future.

And though there has been some return of the light of hope since moving beyond the horrific and disillusioning years of George Bush, nevertheless in most ways “same-old, same old”  ways still prevail.

We are still in Iraq and sending more troops into Afghanistan.    We have created an economic stimulus plan that has not helped the people, but instead has helped big banks get more profits and give more millions to their executives.    The stock market has gone up, but no more jobs are being created nor has the ability to get loans gone up.  We may be on the verge of a new Health Reform plan for Americans, but that plan will keep the power of the insurance and pharmaceutical companies as powerful as ever.

And now this week, something almost unbelievable happened in the Supreme Court of the USA.  They are now allowing corporations to spend as much money as they want on  political elections. ” We the people” have our power even more diluted. The corporations and interest groups already buy out our representatives.  Now with this new ruling  their agendas and wealth will  have more and more influence over our country.

Though a repubican dominated Supreme Court cast this vote, it is not only republicans who are bought our by corporations and special interests.  Both democratic and republican representatives have been bought out by corporations.  The system is corrupt and interest groups and corporations, with their money and wealth, are controlling our country, both sides of the aisle.  They are both part of the Military/Industrial complex that President Eisenhower, a republican, warned us about just before leaving office.    He said that that complex would eventually take away our people power and republic if our awareness went to sleep.  It is encouraging that President Obama has spoken out against the Supreme Cout vote, which is against our democracy.

Is it too late to do something to change the direction our country is moving in?  Well, it IS too late to rely on our two party system of  republicans and democrats to change it.  Have you noticed how many candidates are winning now, as did Senator Brown from Massachusetts, with a message of being outside the system.    But come on, few of these republicans or democrats are truly outside the control of the two party, corporate controlled political system.

Big transformational change of our system and its instituitons is coming over the next few years, and 2010 will speed up this process forward.  But how can each of us be proactive in this process?

Should we write to our congress people and demand change?  That likely will not do any good anymore.  The two party system no longer represents “we the people.”

The change is coming and likely events will shake up our world enough for us to begin to see new and inventive, outside the box, truly tranformational change.

We will also need to vote for other parties, like the Greens and Libertarians.  We will also likely get to the point, especially if things get more oppressive and controlled, where we need to use civil disobedience, as did Dr. King and Ghandi.

The aspects over the next several years speak to the restructuring of our world.  Pluto is now in Capricorn, which suggests transformation of our systems, structures and institutions.  Pluto will stay in Capricorn for 13 more years.

And more immediately we experience Saturn square Pluto, which lasts from last autumn 2009 to Autumn of 2010.    In fact there is an exact Saturn square Pluto aspect on Sunday January 31.   During this year long period very powerful events which change our world and its structures.

The last major transit of Saturn/Pluto was in 2001/2002, when they were in opposition to one another.  In fact one of the passes happened in August 2001, just before the 9-11 tragedy.

Our world is in for major change over the next several years, through a big wave of change in 2010, through the Mayan 2012, through an entrance into the Aquarian Age, as I estimate December 2020, when Jupiter and Saturn conjunct at 1 degree of Aquarius.

On a personal level, use the Saturn square Pluto aspect this week to release old patterns and beliefs that no longer fit who you have been growing into.

If a current relationship or friendship keeps making you feel bad about your self, perhaps it is time for that relationship to change its pattern or for you to be out of the relationship.

Saturn/Pluto is about endings, goodbyes, moving on from old times of your life.   It is difficult to say goodbye sometimes if something or someone new has not appeared yet.  But sometimes we must focus on our goodbye, and perhaps the grief that comes with that ending.

This week also brings a Full Moon in Aquarius/Leo on January 29/30.  It happens on the 29th at 10:18 PM on the west coast USA, and on the 30th at 1:18 AM on the east coast.

Do you do what is best in a socially conscious way (Aquarius), or do you do what makes your heart sing or makes you happy (Leo)?

This Full Moon is the first major lunation since the beginnings that happened at the Solar Eclipse New Moon on the 15th.  Look back on the eclipse and what was going on for you then, and see now where it has evolved to.

See you next week,

Haiti, Avatar, and the Eclipses; and Astrology Forecast for January 17-23

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , on January 16, 2010 by spiritualtherapy

by Leo Knighton Tallarico

We are now in the aftermath of the stormy eclipses that just passed.   Left in that wake is the tragedy of Haiti.    A 7.0 earthquake hit  Haiti and caused massive destruction.  Estimates are that at least 50,000 people died, over a million were left homeless, and there was massive destruction of buildings and infrastructure there.

I have listened to media blowhard voices like Pat Robertson and Rush Limbaugh speak unkindly and with lack of compassion about the people of Haiti and their tragedy.    Pat Robertson tweeked history so he could preach his usual BS about the enemies of his distorted version of Christianity.  He said Haitians had once made a pact with the devil so they could be freed of the domination of the French who controlled the country and its people.

I know many of you have now seen Avatar, a story about how invading forces of a dominant corporate and military run entity on Earth overrun the planet Pandora for its resources.  Of course this message was to remind the audience of how often this has happened right here on Earth, as one country or Empire has often invaded another for its resources and riches.    Europe and America and western civilization, because of their recent historical power, have been the most recent example of this abuse of power.

And never has it been worse than what happened in Haiti.  In 1492 Columbus and his forces invaded Haiti and called it their own despite the fact that the indigeonous Taino people were already there.    Later the French overtook the island and the Taino people,  until eventually they ceased to exist.  In their place the French brought many slaves from Africa, mainly from Guinea, to Haiti.   These slaves were treated with unbelievable abuse, indignity, and unimaginable horrors. The following was written by Henri Christophe’s personal secretary, who lived more than half his life as a slave, and describes the crimes perpetrated against the slaves of Saint-Domingue by their French masters.  Henri was a revolutionary against French control.

The secretary wrote:  ”Have they not hung up men with heads downward, drowned them in sacks, crucified them on planks, buried them alive, crushed them in mortars? Have they not forced them to eat excretement? And, having flayed them with the lash, have they not cast them alive to be devoured by worms, or onto anthills, or lashed them to stakes in the swamp to be devoured by mosquitoes? Have they not thrown them into boiling cauldrons of cane syrup? Have they not put men and women inside barrels studded with spikes and rolled them down mountainsides into the abyss? Have they not consigned these miserable blacks to man-eating dogs until the latter, sated by human flesh, left the mangled victims to be finished off with bayonet and poniard?”

If there is such a thing as evil and the devil, would that be the slave who wants to free him or her self from such treatment?  Or would that be the opppressor who treated fellow humans in such a manner?

At the height of the enslavement on Haiti by the French who used the slaves to work the sugar plantations, which provided Europe with much of its sugar, there were approximately 500,000 slaves and 32,ooo slave owners on Hiati.  These slaves are the ancestors of many of today’s residents and Earthquake victims on Haiti.

We have entered a very important year:2010.   We are rapidly approaching the New World projected by the Mayan mathematicians to begin on winter solstice 2012.    We are only 10 years away from my astrological estimate of the beginning of an Aquarian Age, in December 2020 when Jupiter and Saturn conjunct at 0+ degrees of Aquarius.    The Hopi’s and biblical scholars also are anticipating this entry into a New Age, New Paradigm, New World soon.  All believe we face great catastrophe before we arrive.

And most believe the birth pains will be lessened in proportion to our being able to change our consciousness enough to be aligned with the New Age, away from the old Age.

Abuse of power, domination of others, greed, and privilege will not serve our planet as we enter this Age.  With the weapons of mass destruction we have built and used before, we are putting our Earth and human family in grave danger.

An Aquarian Age demands we come together as one family, in harmonious relationship with one another, to heal our family, environment and Earth.

2010 will bring many tests, through challenging events.  2010 has more important  aspects than I have seen in many years. In the greater world, economic and military concerns will grow in 2010.   The Middle East will be challenged by war cries.

In our personal worlds we will be pushed to progress with the tranformation of our consciousness, our soul and lives.  With every challenge is an opportunity to release the programming and conditioning from families, from culture, and religion that keep us locked in old fears and guilts, and rules for living that preclude  healthy self esteem and respect for peoples different than our own.

With every challenge we move more deeply into our personal healing, holistically bringing together the deeper needs of our hearts, souls, and bodies.   This way we connect with our authentic Self and our alignment with each other, the human community, and the Universe.

We have passed the eclipse and get a brief respite from such intensities.  It is time now to look at our lives with new eyes.

Astrology Forecast for January 17-23

The main event this week is Jupiter leaving Aquarius, where it has been for the last year.  It enters Pisces on Sunday.  It will stay until eary next year 2011.   The last time it was in Pisces was in 1998.   Jupiter expands.  Pisces is water, literal water like oceans  and rivers or the  metaphorical waters of feelings, emotions, spirit and soul.    In 1998 the banks of the Yangtse river in China overflowed to kill over 12,000 people.  A tsunami in Guinea wiped out several villages of people in 1998.    And the Moon of Jupiter, Europa, was found to have an ocean of water on it under the ice that year.   Bill Clinton evoked many deep emotions in America in 1998 with his sex scandal with Monica Lewinsky and the subsequent impeachment for his lies and deception.  Look back to 1998 in your own life as far as emotions and your deeper spirtual growth and healing.

Expect similar water events in 2010, and even more so as Jupiter and Uranus will conjunct in Pisces.    Pisces is a sign of deep soul connection and compassion. Use this aspect to increase your own compassionate side and to connect on a deep soul level with your feelings andwith empathy for those of others.  If your Sun was in Pisces at birth you can expect this year to bring your authentic self out more into the open. Opportunities for your life will follow.

On Tuesday the Sun moves into Aquarius for a month.     Aquarius is a sign of social consciousness mixed with true individuality.   Aquarians are outside the “normal” boxes of life, even if they try not to be.   Their minds can be way out there, filled with inventiveness.  Some border genius and insanity with great skill.     They are often highly principled and idealistic, wanting society to raise itself to better levels.   They believe in groups and community, but often find it difficult, because of their distinct individuality and high ideals to fit into any groups easily.  They are in their minds a lot, and also really value their independence. They are often uneasy with people or themselves showing too much emotion.  Keep in mind that the internet is very Aquarius, socially active and activist, decentralized, without authoritative controls.    Aquarius does not care much for authority or big egos.  Get involved this month with community, group, or socially conscious endeavors to be in alignment with Aquarius.

See you next  week,

Solar Eclipse New Moon in Capricorn and Astrology Forecast for January 10-16

Posted in Weekly WorldView and Astrology forecast with tags , , , , , on January 9, 2010 by spiritualtherapy

by Leo Knighton Tallarico

The second of two eclipses in a row happens this week, on Friday January 15 at 2:11 AM on the USA east coast.  On the west coast the eclipse falls on January 14 at 11:11 PM.    The Capricorn/Cancer Full Moon Lunar Eclipse from New Year’s Eve Day 2009 and this week’s Solar Eclipse New Moon in Capricorn bring a common theme:   Security issues.

Cancer and Capricorn both are connected to security and stability.  They are the archetypal “Mom and Dad” energies, although in the contemporary world, those gender roles are mixed.

Cancer provides inner security through nurturing, care, and unconditional acceptance.    Capricorn provides outer security by meeting the demands of the world through accomplishment, work, planning and discipline.  Cancer builds safety through making a comfortable and nourishing home base.  Capricorn gives safety through building success in the world and gaining the rewards of money, etc. that provide security.

In the mainstream world the eclipses have brought with them the recent failed terrorist attacks, which have shaken many people’s sense of inner and outer security.    New scanners are being put in airports around the world.  Governments are contemplating more such  moves toward greater security.  The cable news shows talk incessantly now about the CIA and its failures, Homeland Security and its failures, the President and his failures.  Many are getting freaked out about the recent incidents, especially the Christmas Day bombing attempt near Detroit.

These concerns now about our safety and security are deeper and broader than just the recent eclipses.  Pluto’s recent movement into Capricorn a couple years ago, which will last for 15 years, is about transforming the structures and institutions of our world.  Since this is within the broader context of an Aquarian Age and 2012, we can expect massive changes to our way of life, our economy, and our relations with the rest of the world over the next several years.

The last few weeks, which have been under the influence of the eclipses, have brought increased feelings of insecurity for many.  Many ar enow less sure about the direction of their life.   Jobs, money, relationships seem less stable and reliable.

Perhaps it is time to let go more of our attachments, addictions, co-dependencies, and that which we are clinging too hard to.   It is time to liberate our minds, hearts, and souls.  It is time to recapture our free spirits, no matter what age we are.   For those of you beyond your teens and ’20s, you know how easy it is to get so much into security and safety and material concerns.   It is easy to get bogged down into every day” same-old, same-old”, and lose your flexibility for change.

But change is coming, it accelerates in 2010, and it will behoove each of us to let go, to release what is ready to be released, and to move on to a new phase of our lives.

The Solar Eclipse New Moon in Capricorn this Friday January 14/15 will get us moving forward again.    For many direction will get more clear this week or next as Mercury goes direct on January 15, adding to the forward direction of the New Moon that day.  But for some pieces of the puzzle will be left to solve in regards to our overall life direction and desires for our future as Mars will still be Retrograde until March 10.

But for now, with the Solar Eclipse New Moon, and Mercury going direct this week, we will have some forward movement and greater clarity.    The fog of our life path will begin to clear.  Remember that at eclipses energies and emotions intensify, and we usually get taken out of our normal balance.

Since this New Moon Eclipse is in Capricorn, we get more of a sense, however, of “getting our life together”.   We start to make plans, or life brings us seemingly fated events that show us what we must let go of, and what direction we need to now take.

If you have your Sun in Capricorn, especially if you are born in mid January you are most affected by this eclipse.   If you were born with Sun in Cancer, and were born in mid July you are most affected by this eclipse.    In fact if you have any planets in the middle degrees of Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn you are very affected by this eclipse.     You will have more of a tendency to have your security issues challenged and opened for change.

This coming week, the week of January 10 through January 16, life may feel more serious.   This is especially so from mid week through the end of the week.

This is so because Saturn, the planet that “rules” Capricorn, slows down and changes directions on Wednesday the 13th, less than two days before the Capricorn New Moon Eclipse.   It is time to get down to business, to do what needs to be done, to work hard and more efficiently.

Saturn is Old Man Time, a reminder that life is limited by the passing of time on this Earth plane of existence.  Things end and die, time marches on.  We sometimes need to let go of people, jobs, old times of our life.   Saying goodbye is always difficult.    But new horizons await us, always one season of life passes into another season of life.

And of course Thursday/Friday is the New Moon in Capricorn.  It is a turning point time of life.  Everything may not be totally clear and laid out yet, but a shift is happening.  And it is a powerful shift, with all implications not known until several months ahead.

In the greater mainstream world, the USA is having military/economic concerns heat up again.   The power of the USA is being asserted and/or challenged now.     In 1991, on January 15, just like now in 2010, there was a powerful Solar Eclipse New Moon in Capricorn at the exact same 25 degrees.  That is near the USA Pluto in its natal chart’s second house.  On that day in 1991 Iraq and Saddam Hussein were attacked by the USA and its allies.  That community of nations that gathered together for the attack were called the New World Order.   This was mainly a combination of western world allies, Europe and the USA.

I do not expect such a dramatic force of attack again this time as the aspects to this eclipse are not the same as last time. In 1991 Saturn was conjunct the Eclipse, which brought more of fated grave energy to the formation.     But issues related to the military/industrial empire of western nations, led by the USA, will again be in the spotlight.   What are the threats to this Empire now?  It is from a difficult economy, Al Queda, Iran and North Korea, Yemen, Palestine, and potentially Pakistan.

If you saw the movie Avatar, you know they were referencing this global corporate, military empire of the USA and New World Order as the “bad guys” destroying the natural and spiritual world of the Na’vi native peoples.

This movie is a consciouness raising movie for mainstream America and the world, and lets us know we are moving toward a world beyond Empires that rule all our lives and the natural world and Earth environment.

We are on the cusp of great change, and 2010 will open up and clear the path for greater progress into this New World.

As we  walk through the first days of 2010, many people are feeling kind of lost, not knowing what direction to move in, not feeling very motivated.    What a way to begin the New Year 2010,  as most people like to make resolutions and vision their dreams for the year ahead at the New Year.   What is happening?

Mercury is retrograde, which often does feel disconcerting, confusing, and brings us back to old memories and old times.  But what is going on now is more than that.

Well Mars is also retrograde, which happens once every two years.  Last time was in early 2007.     And yes when Mars goes retrograde we do feel like we are unsure of what we really want, and where we are going with our lives.  I have been through a fair number of Mars retrogrades in my life, however, and the feeling of being  lost this Mars retrograde period is deeper and stronger.

Many of my clients, family and friends are feeling this way.  It seems to many that their lives are not so secure, are up for grabs, changing, shifting to something new, something we do not understand yet.

Of course we also just passed through the first of two eclipses in a row on New Year’s Eve Day, a Lunar Eclipse Full Moon in Capricorn/Cancer.   That eclipse suggests shifting tides around security issues.  The second eclipse will be on January 15. It is a Solar Eclipse New Moon.

But in the Big Picture, beyond all these strong current aspects, is the fact that we are entering a very powerful year of change in 2010.     And we are less than 3 years away from the time the Mayan Calendar declares as the end of an old world and the beginning of a New World, December 21, 2012.  And in my estimation we are about 10 years away from a doorway into the Aquarian Age, when Jupiter and Saturn conjunct at 0+ degrees of Aquarius.

As we keep this bigger picture of entrance into a New Age in mind, we know that it means we will be experiencing much deep transformational change over the next several years.  Just as our housing market and economy have shifted over the last couple years, much more of what we have come to expect as normal will be shifting into new realities.   And these changes will be much greater than those over the last couple of years.

And so Mercury Retrograde, Mars Retrograde, and the Eclipses are more effective than usual because they are in the context of the acceleration we are experiencing moving into an Aquarian Age.

The feeling of being unclear about our lives and future is in large part because so much of life and our world will be changing.   This is known and felt at a deep level of our being.  So much of what we currently are used to in our lives may therefore seem stale or insecure, as we are getting ready to move into a big  new phase of our lives.    Are we in the right job?  In the right relationship?  In the correct home or living situation?  These are questions that make it difficult to know how to vision our year ahead or future, or to be motivated to act.

For some the New Moon Solar Eclipse in Capricorn on January 15 will tend to push them forward in their lives. For some this may happen as they choose a new project or venture for their lives.   For others some event will move into their lives that feels almost fated and will push them in certain directions.

These choices or events will not make everything crystal clear yet for most, however, because Mars will still be Retrograde.  Mercury, however, goes direct the same day as the Solar Eclipse New Moon on January 15; and in conjunction with the New Moon we are more directed.

America and our greater world will go through much change in 2010.

The Middle East will become more dangerous in 2010 and war is likely to erupt beyond what is happening in Iraq and Afghanistan.   The turmoil in the Middle East will shift the balance of power in the world.  We are moving toward more equality in the Aquarian Age, and Superpowers and Empires do not fit anymore.   America and the western world have been dominating the world paradigm of dog-eat-dog “survival of the fittest” mentality.    Much of the coming transformation is meant to put an end to this mentality, so we can save our world and the human family from horror and possible extinction.

We all will be helped, through coming personal and world events, to know all is connected as ONE.   Diversity and individuality will be respected in the New Age, but in unity; as in an orchestra, when all individual instruments play in concert with one another to play unified music.

All races, genders, sexual orientations, religions, nations, and peoples are cells in the greater human body.    We are each a cell in the body of the greater Universe, meant to function in individual authenticity, yet all connected together in Universal community.

We are so far from knowing this reality, as we tend to demonize those who are different, make enemy of those we cannot  understand.

The coming shifts and changes will challenge us to let go of these old beliefs and attitudes and to learn to open our hearts and minds to a bigger picture of unity and connection.  Some, however, will choose more fear and separation, and will lose these approaching opportunities to expand consciousness and evolve.

As change moves into your life know it is all meaningful and part of your sacred soul life  journey.  Spring and summer of 2010 will be especially intense with change, as there is a cardinal Grand Cross Lunar Ecipse Full Moon in late June that is quite powerful.  This aspect will be the center of many very important astrological events in spring and summer of 2010.

Be clear.  These changes will challenge us to transform, to find greater meaning, to connect with our deeper souls, with each other, the Earth, and the Universe.  Our human family is in grave need for deep healing, so we can come together in unity to heal our Earth, which we have dominated and abused.     Perhaps brothers and sisters in the greater Universe will assist us or challenge us to grow.

The recent Norway UFO incident shows us we are getting closer to an event of monumental importance and revelation:  The mass appearance of beings from beyond.

For now, be as patient as you can.  It is OK now to be without clear direction.  Learn to just BE now.   Change is coming soon.

Lunar Eclipse for a New Year, and Astrology Forecast for December 20-January 2

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , on December 19, 2009 by spiritualtherapy

By Leo Knighton Tallarico

This report is for the next two weeks.   It will resume again on Saturday afternoon the 2nd of January 2010. There are many important astrological formations between now and then, most importantly being a Lunar Eclipse Full Moon on New Year’s Eve day.

This last week there was a New Moon in Sagittarius square Uranus.   This aspect, like all new moons, seeks to get us moving forward. Uranus square the New Moon added an uncomfortable wake up call to many.  Added to the intensity is the fact that the Full Moon following this New Moon will be the Lunar Eclipse on January 31.    We are already in the wake of the  eclipse storms.  A second eclipse happens on January 15, 2010, a Solar Eclipse New Moon.  We will continue to get wake up calls that shake us out of our slumber.

Besides some personal wake up calls this week, I received a wakeup call about health care reform and the world condition.

No real deep transformational change will occur within the governments of this world, by their own accord.  The government of the USA is beholden to mega corporate influence; and the extent of power of the Military/Industrial complex is even more powerful than I had thought before.

Isn’t it amazing that a Public Option became such a big deal to everyone, when its purpose is to lower costs for everyone?  The Public Option was only a choice, not mandatory.  It gave people the option to use a government run plan IF THEY SO CHOSE to do so.   Because the rates would be lower than corporate insurance plans, it would provide competition (which real capitalism is based on) and force insurance companies to lower their rates.   So why would anyone be against it unless they were either unsure what it was, are against anything the government does, or they are in the pocket of insurance companies and pharmaceutical companies?

The health plan approved by the Senate will not solve the deep problems with health care in this country.   Real change will not come through this bill.  Real change,n any issues, will be held back by the democrats and republicans- as they are privileged members of our society, who do not feel the pain the rest of us fee-l from a system that does not answer to the people or serve the people.

But I know BIG change is coming nevertheless.  It slowly started in 2009, and will erupt in our lives in 2010.  How will it happen since it won’t happen within the system?

It will happen naturally through the movement of the wheels of the Universe, as is seen in the astrological aspects.  It wil happen as the economic institutions that run our country and world fail to take us out the Great Recession/Depression.   It will happen as things explode in the Middle East.  It will happen as the people take revolution to the streets of the world.  It will happen through Nature’s wrath.  And perhaps it will happen as we are visited by “aliens” from other parts of our Universe.

Did you see the pictures of the spiral and beaming lights in the skies over Norway recently?  Did you read the media trying to make it about a failed missile attempt in Russia?   Perhaps we will have more and more obvious visitations now to help us transform out of an old paradigm and age, and into an Aquarian Age.     How much is really going to change as we get closer and closer to December 21, 2012?  We will soon begin to find out.

Astrology Forecast for December 20-January 2

As we approach 2010 and the eclipses of New Year’s Eve 2009/2010 and January 15 2010, we first witness Mars slowing down and going retrograde on Sunday the 20th of December.

Mars goes retrograde every two years. While it is retrograde the forward movement in parts of our lives, goes into pause mode. We are guided by inner motivation and outer events, during the retrograde period, to find out what we truly want and where we truly want to go.  As this Mars retrograde is in the sign Leo, a theme for you may be around finding more creative spark and hope in your heart for life.  Mars goes back direct on March 10 2010.

It is best not to start any major new ventures while it is in retrograde formation.  The retrograde time is best used contemplating and experimenting with what you want and where you want to go with your life.   Issues around self interest, independence, assertiveness, and confrontations may arise during the retrograde period.

It last went retrograde in Cancer from mid December 2007 to late February 2008.  Look back then to see what was going on for you.

On Monday the 21st at 12:47 PM EST, we have the Winter Solstice, the time of most darkness in a day, and least light.    After this day the minutes of light per day increase, until Spring Equinox when light and dark minutes are equal.   The birth of Christ symbolically fits this time period, as at the darkest moment there is the  birth of the light, hope for the future.  Nature is at its most starkness, cold and bare,  here in the Northern Hemisphere.  It is Capricorn time of year, time to face reality.

Capricorn is about taking responsibility, doing what needs to done even if it does not come naturally.  It is about the  narrowing of possibilities, taking responsibility, planning and organizing, discipline and order.   It is about authority, boundaries and integrity.  It is about holding on and making it last.  It is about control.  It is about time.

On Saturday the 26th of December, right after many humans celebrate Christmas, Mercury goes retrograde.  Remember Mars is already retrograde.    Things may feel a bit crazy now, especially so because the first of two eclipses in a row, a Lunar Eclipse Full Moon, is less than a week away.

Mercury Retrograde, which happens 3-4 times a year, brings us into fogs of shifing perceptions and reality.  For some it is like entering the Twilight Zone.  Normal logic does not always work, and unusual surprises keep us off our normal mental balance.  Communications can be tested and communications equipment can sometimes go haywire.

But regardless of what happens during Mercury Retrograde, it is all meant to take us out of our usual ways of perceiving reality and helping us to think outside the box.  Right brain imaginative and creative thinking often works better now than left brain logical thought.  Don’t try too hard during Mercury Retrograde to find logical answers. Let the answers unfold more gracefully.    Mercury goes back direct on January 15, the day of the 2nd eclipse, a Solar Eclipse New Moon.

And now the rumbles of the Lunar Eclipse get stronger. Big events that happen in the world are connected to the Eclipse, especially those that have to do with safety and security issues, like the economy, the military, and any institutions of the government that represent security. This is because the signs involved in the Full Moon Eclipse are Cancer and Capricorn.   Cancer represents inner emotional security, safety found in family, close friends and home.  Capricorn represents outer security, security of jobs, career and money.  It is what we rely on out in the world that helps us to feel safe and secure.

So issues that have to do with your personal security will come up now, as will issues of balancing domestic, family and home responsibilities with work and career repsonsibilities.  Expect shifing tides around security issues, family and work.

The actual Lunar Eclipse Full Moon will happen on Thursday December 31 2009, New Year’s Eve day at 2:13 PM EST.  You may feel torn between staying at home or doing something outside the home.  Expect energies to be more intense than usual, and be prepared for the unexpected.

Friday and Saturday will still be in the wake of the Lunar Eclipse Full Moon from New Year’s Eve.   And in two more weeks we will have a Solar Eclipse New Moon, a time of powerful new beginnings.

2010: Big Changes and Astrology Forecast for December 13-19

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , on December 12, 2009 by spiritualtherapy

by Leo Knighton Tallarico

2010 will be a year of great change.   Rightfully so, the year begins with a swirl of huge waves of transformation on New Year’s Eve.  That day there will be a Lunar Eclipse Full Moon T-Square.  This gives us a “signature” for the coming year ahead, a most powerful sign of big changes.

Soon thereafter, on January 15, there is a Solar Eclipse New Moon in Capricorn at 25 degrees.   Powerful new beginnings are initiated.  Events that occur surrounding this New Moon may feel fated.

Winter 2009/2010 will bring in events that will clear the way for even greater events in the spring and summer of 2010.  As we said, the Lunar Eclipse of New Year’s Eve creates a powerful symbol for the New Year

The last time there was a Solar Eclipse New Moon in Capricorn at 25 degrees, was on January 15 1991, EXACTLY 19 years prior.  On that day Desert Storm was begun by attacking Saddam Hussein’s Iraqi forces in Kuwait, in order to drive them out.

There may not be an event as dramatic as that this year, but you can expect there to be issues of the USA using its power in the world around this time period.  This is because the USA Pluto from its natal chart of July 4 1776 is close to 25 degrees of Capricorn.

There are more strong astrological aspects in the winter,  including Mars being retrograde for most of the winter  season and  Jupiter moving into Pisces for much of 2010 (more about these in later blogs).

2009 brought us big change.  The economy went firmly into recession then, one of the biggest economic downturns ever.   Barack Obama, the first mixed race person to do so, became president of the USA.    Americans and citizens of the world went into a new phase of our lives. 2009 was just the beginning of this new phase, of these big changes.    For many there was an earthquake of consciousness shifting with the election of Obama.   For others, with home values going down, retirement programs threatened, and jobs being lost; their faith in a solid, prosperous, and unchangeable USA and world economy suffered immeasurably.

Our “normal” way of seeing our world started to change in 2009.   Many never thought they would doubt the very foundations of our economy.   Many never imagined in their wildest dreams a man of black African origins named Barack Hussein Obama could ever be President of the USA.  These changes are only the beginning of our perceptions and lives changing in big ways.  2010 will bring even bigger changes.

The Universe has only begun to show us events that will help us to change our collective consciousness, so we can be aligned with the Aquarian Age we are inexorably moving into.

Since we are only 3 years away from the Mayan new world date of December 21, 2010, and only 11 years away from my estimation of the beginning of the Aquarian Age in December of 2020; it is easy to see that changes need to accelerate in order to get us where we need to go in our consciousness and lives.

President Obama is becoming a big disappointment for many progressives who are restless for real and deep transformational change in this country and world.  Keep in mind that true change comes from the wheels of the Universe and our collective human will, certainly not from one person alone.

Obama’s presence is tiny in comparison to the power of the Military/Industrial complex of the empire of wealthy people of the world who run the world.  He can only make so much change and cannot realistically do more.

But the power of the Empire is small in relationship to the Universe.  As the Universe brings in more strong waves of transformational change to our human Earth world, the Empire changes, the world changes, America changes, Obama changes, and each of us change.

There will be more and more surprises in 2010.  Many new happenings will not be pleasant, as the sluimping economy has not fetl good to most people.  But we each can make the ride more graceful by letting go of fear and resistance, and learning to dance with the changes.

This does not mean we merely accept what the world will soon present us; instead we accept what the Universe presents us from a bigger perspective.

For instance, let’s imagine that a new war is ignited in Iran, as will probably happen in 2010 or 2011 at the latest.  Is this a new age that we are accepting, a world of more wars?   No, of course not.    Bu tin the bigger picture,  it would be part of the breakdown of an old world and its old ways, and a reshuffling of the balance of power in the world.

What do each of us do?  We let go of our connection to that old world.   As we are told that this new war is necessary to protect the USA, we question this and go to our deeper values which are connected to the New Age of Aquarius.   We know peace will be the answer before too long, as we will need this attitude in order to survive.

We question by remembering Viet Nam and how we were told it was to protect American interests.  We remember Iraq and how we were told we were protecting USA interests because Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction, which was a lie.

It is so importan,t during the big changes coming our way, to let go of old attitudes and beliefs connected to a toxic culture from an old age.   We each have been conditioned to think and feel in certain ways that our families and society have taught us to think and feel.   Those ways will not serve us as we go though the transformation into a New Age.

The Old Age religions taught us guilt, fear, rigid moral laws, and judgmental ways at looking at ourselves and others.  Many families have conditioned us to not trust ourselves and our own hearts and minds.   Our society teaches us to value our country above other,s and to look down on the cultures of other people.   We are taught that war is OK against our enemies, who we demonize instead of understanding our common humanity.

These are all part of the old paradigm that needs to be let go of.    Questioning can cause great stress as we let go of a certain feeling of security that comes with our attachments to the teachings of our family, religion, and nation.

But the only real security can be found deep in our heart and soul, where all our true connections reside.   By connecting to that deep inner voice, we know we will be alright no matter what.   We know we will find the information we need when we need it.  We know we will meet the right people just when we need them on our spiritual path.   We know we will be in the right place at the right time if we just trust this deep inner voice.

When we are so aligned and connected we know all is aligned and connected.  We see signs and symbols lighting our way.    We witness synchronicities letting us know the Universe is alive in us and our world.   We are guided to better mental, physical, emotional and spiritual health.

We are shown truth and shown where love resides.   We know we will be taken care of, as we learn to love ourselves more.

So much from the old world has taught us to trust the authorities from that world more than our own wisdom.     Trusting without question those old authorities keeps you imprisoned within the walls of the old world.  Trusting your own wisdom allows you to find the Universe within, God within.

The Powers that Be will are mounting  evidence that Iran is an evil nation and needs to be punished.   This will likely in turn erupt into Middle East chaos in Israel/Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria, and reverberate in Afghanistan and Pakistan.    The whole world will change in huge ways as a result.  Most prophecies, including biblical ones expect the New Age shift to be ignited in the Middle East and Jerusalem.

The old paradigm of dominance and abuse of power will end as we witness the horror of these old ways.  We are moving into a world of equality and connection, thus the old ways of making some more privileged and dominant than others will end.   Each of us is learning that we are all connected, that all is connected, and only this consciousness will save us and bring us into a New Age.

The world economy is also based on such dominance and privilege.  We are all conditioned to believe it is “normal” for some to be rich and privileged while others are poor.  This will change, and the big changes coming our way in the economy will eventually help us to do so.

Astrology Forecast for December 13-19

This week we transition from the end of one lunar cyle to the New Moon beginning the next lunar cycle.   Sunday through Tuesday are the waning days of the passing cycle that began with a Scorpio New Moon on November 16.  Whatever was begun then is slowing down and preparing for new beginnings on Wednesday this week.

A Scorpio Moon on Sunday encourages intense emotions and deep thought.  On Monday the Moon goes into Sagittarius, where it will remain into the New Moon in Sagittarius on Wednesday.

Also on Monday the Sun squares Uranus, and events will unfold for many that will feel like a real “wake-up” call.

On Wednesday is the actual New Moon, at 7:02 AM Eastern time and 4:02 AM Pacific time in the USA.    It is time to make positive afirmations and visualizations for your life.  A Sagittarian New Moon can bring raised energies for whatever is striking your attention.  It is also a good time to contemplate or begin a new adventure, to find inspiration, or to gain a bigger perspective on your life.  Just be careful not to take on more than you can handle or to leap into something before looking at what might happen after you take the leap.  This New Moon is square Uranus and a gateway into the Lunar Eclipse in 2 weeks, so energies maybe  getting more erratic and out of control.

If you start to find you do not know what you want or where you want to go, or how to assert what you need to assert; keep in mind that Mars is slowing down and will go retrograde next Sunday the 20th.  If you find your plans are changing or your direction is less clear, it is time during Mars retrograde to reevaluate your life and its goals.

In the greater world, angry words of competing egos and nations may get stronger.

We will have more on Mars retrograde, the coming eclipses, Mercury retrograde, and winter solstice next week.

Waiting for 2010 and Astrology Forecast for December 6-13

Posted in Weekly WorldView and Astrology forecast with tags , , , on December 5, 2009 by spiritualtherapy

by Leo Knighton Tallarico

We are getting closer to the Winter Solstice 2009, and then shortly thereafter we enter a most powerful Year of 2010.

This 2010 power will be signified by a strong symbol of change on New Year’s Eve:  A Lunar Eclipse Full Moon Cardinal T-Square.   We will talk more about this and the Solar Eclipse New Moon on January 15 as we get closer to those dates.

Suffice it to say however that the year starts out with a bang, which will be 2010’s calling card.

2010 will bring many profound aspects auguring great change all through 2010, including an even stronger Lunar Eclipse Full Moon Cardinal Grand Cross on June 26.

What can we expect and what can we do to get ready for such change?

We can expect our world to transform, for the security structures we rely on to be increasingly challenged.   Our economy has been challenged in 2008 and 2009 with one of the worst recessions in American ourstory.   To remedy this, The Powers That Be have merely put bandages on the deep and severe wounds to our financial well being.

For real transformation to occur we need to do more than print up more money and bail out big banks, other financial institutions, and mega-corporations and wealthy CEOs.    This is a new version of the trickle down theory, which believes that giving more riches to the already rich will somehow benefit us all.

There is such a huge discrepancy between the rich and all the others in this world.  True transformation of our economic system demands we change this old paradigm.  Events will force us to do so.  This does not mean we need to move to pure socialism.

We need something new that uses both capitalism and socialism, but truly creates something new that is beyond that dichotomy.

We can’t have huge change and transformation in this world until the military structure of this world fundamentally changes also.     Our world is controlled by a Military/Industrial complex that chokes off true liberty and freedom, as well as choking off true cooperation and harmony.

Wars will break out or bust open in 2010, which will threaten the current military structures of the world.    Look at the Middle East area to break open and for Iran to be an important focal point.

What each of us needs to do is to let go of our attachment to “how it has been”.  We each will need to be more flexible and open to real change.

To be able to truly do this, we will need to let go of our need to be separate from each other, from the Universe, from Nature, from our real self.   We will be forced to choose if we will live in fear or we will live in trust.

Our ancestors, who came before our current American creature comforts, conveniences, distractions, and protected lives, were more challenged to trust life and to believe in Love.  They certainly lived more in the moment and interacted more with one another.

Before the modern age we lived more primal lives, but even as recent as the first half of the 20th century people in America lived more difficult lives.  Can you imagine living then, and experiencing two World Wars and a Great Depression. Hardships then certainly dwarfed any real hardships we face now.

Trust in life was so important to make it through then, and will be so important again.

But now, more than then, there is a need to expand and change consciousness into more inclusiveness.   To see all of us on the Earth as brothers and sisters, regardless of government propaganda or media persuasiveness, will be necessary.

It will be so easy to hate the Chinese for their increasing power over the USA economically. It will be so easy to hate our Muslim borthers and sisters, most especially Iranians.

We are all connected all over the world.   To make it through the coming challenges, it will be necessary to let go of attitudes and beliefs that separate.    We have been moving into an Aquarian Age for some time now, and it is an Age of diversity in unity.    I know because that is what Aquarius is.   Aquarius is also about liberty for all and equality of all- no kings or queens or privileged people- no superpowers or privileged nations.

The coming eclipse of New Year’s Eve 2009/2010 will shake up our sense of security and bring us breakthroughs into new times ahead.  More on that later.

Astrology Forecast for December 6-13

Since the strong Full Moon has passed this last week, we enter a waning Moon phase.     With Uranus having gone direct near the day of the Full Moon, it was a difficult time period for some, and a time of breakthroughs for some.   For all,  Uranus now direct for the next seven months helps us to get ”unstuck” from our personal mental boxes.

The waning Moon this coming week helps things to settle in and settle down.  On Sunday the Moon is in fun and creative Leo.   Late afternoon and evening the Moon in Leo is conjunct Mars.  Often this combination brings emotional intensity and drama.  If you get pulled there, be careful not to get too swallowed up in negative emotions.

The moon moves into Virgo on Monday and stays there into Tuesday when it squares the Sun, to create the beginning of the last quarter Moon.    Lunar energies dim in intensity, going down into the New Moon in Sagittarius on December 16.

The Moon stays in Virgo until mid-day Wednesday.  Good days to clean up, to fix and mend, to make more efficient, to do detail work.

Th energy field ought to stay mellow Thursday and Friday with Moon in Libra, but may intensify as the Moon goes into Scorpio on Saturday.

See you next week,

Astrology Forecast for November 29-December 5

Astrology Forecast for November 29- December 5

Perspectives from the Sky report will be more brief than usual because of the holiday weekend.

As we have talked about before,  2010 will be a big year for change and transformation in the World and in our personal lives.   Jupiter, Saturn, and Uranus will be in transition between mutable signs (Virgo, Pisces) and cardinal signs (Libra, Aries).   Since Pluto already is in a cardinal sign (Capricorn), that means that 4 of the 5 outer planets will be in or moving into cardinal signs.

The outer planets Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto show us by their transits what change from a bigger picture is coming into our lives.    The cardinal signs Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn represent the beginnings of seasons: Aries-spring; Cancer-summer; Libra-Autumn; Capricorn-winter.  As such they represent new beginnings in our collective lives, and for many their personal lives also.

This transition between mutable and cardinal signs represents the kind of energetic change, except on a bigger scale, that happens on the cusp of new seasons.   Weather and energies fluctuate more than usual as we go through seasonal transition.

Symbolically this combination of mutable and cardinal signs is a good metaphor for the bigger shift that is occuring between an old Pisces Age and a new Aquarian Age.   Also 2010 is only 2 years away from the Mayan December 21, 2012 prediction of a New Age.  So we are on the cusp of Ages, of a New Season for the world.

2010 will challenge us to let go and release old ways of thinking and living, and to let in and embrace new ways to live and think.   Events will occur in the greater world and in our personal lives to prod us into making the needed changes.

There is an especially important Lunar Eclipse Grand Cross in late June that reveals an important crossroads/turning point for us all from old world to new world.   Many other important aspects happen all through 2010.    As those events get closer we will write about them more.

An eclipse on New year’s Eve 2019/2010 will set a tone for the coming year.   Another eclipse on January 15 will shake up our world.

This week, November 29-December 5 will bring into our lives some lively aspects

The Moon is in Taurus on Sunday the 29th and Monday the 30th.  Keeping a lid on feelings and emotions should be easy.    Movement should be slow and methodical, practical and grounded.

Uranus changes from retrograde to Direct on Tuesday the 1st of December.  Energies will be shifting from earthy body awareness to more electrical mental energies.    You could start feeling this shift as early as Sunday or Monday, which would disrupt the tranquility of Moon in Taurus.  Many, however, may not feel this shft until Tuesday when it does actually go direct.

As the Moon on Tuesday moves into Gemini, a mental air sign, it will combine with Uranus to give you a  boost for a couple days.  For some it may feel almost like caffeine.

It is time to let in new inspirations and information and ideas to help you to gain vision for your life, as the Full Moon in Sagittarius/Gemini blows in on Tuesday also.  The Full Moon is at 11:30 PM on Tuesday the 1st on the west coast USA, and is at 2:30 AM Wednesday the 2nd on the East Coast.

This is a very energized Full Moon, especailly good for talking or any kind of communication. If you have felt slow or depressed lately, this combination of a lively Gemini Full Moon and Uranus going Direct will awaken your mind and spirit.

The aura of these aspects could last until Thursday or Friday.  Nevertheless, the Moon will be in Cancer most of Thursday and Friday and part of Saturday, which should help many to find some comfort during the storm of mental activity.

In the greater world, this week of full Moon and Uranus direct will show a shifting of energies, a changing of direction.  There may be breakdowns of old stuck energies and breakthroughs into new territory.   Rebellious and revolutionary movements may pick up confidence now.

See you next week,

Leo Knighton Tallarico
